The restaurant is right on Port Credit. It's a small joint with not really any seating, more of a takeout spot, but it was busy when I went! I went on a Saturday night and there were people constantly coming in and grabbing their orders. I'd recommend ordering online first and then just picking it up for the fastest service. It's cute on the inside, they have stacks of pizza boxes everywhere which gives it a cool vibe. The staff were really sweet, accommodating, and helpful in deciding my order. I got a Sicilian-style pizza and honestly, I don't think you should go any other way here. It was delicious and really thick. The sauce was so good and the pizza came steaming hot, you can see them make it right in front of you in a wood oven. There wasn't a cheese pull, unfortunately, but the pizza was hearty and really yummy, different from other places I've tried. My 16-inch pizza was around $39, which is a bit on the expensive side for a takeout spot, but it's still worth checking out! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot. read more

Wow, I am so glad that I finally had a chance to try this place! This was absolutely THE BEST pizza that I've ever tasted in my life! I settled on the pizza with vodka sauce, with pieces of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on it. Since we were grabbing a quick bite to eat, we each settled on slices instead of having a whole pizza made for us. The slices were $7.00 each however, they were big, and when cut in two, came out to two good-sized slices. I was happy with how delicious mine tasted, as there was a hint of spice however, it wasn't too overpowering. The crust was crispy but not hard, just perfect! Service was exceptional as well, as the man making the pizzas and taking the customers' orders was knowledgeable and friendly. If I am able to meet their ridiculous operating hours then I do my best to grab a pie from them. It is probably the best Pizza to get in the city, the only one I have been able to find that is even close to a NYC pie, the sauce is incredible, they don't skimp on the toppings, it is a true Italian pizzeria. It can feel a tad pricey but when you consider that almost all the chains have shrunk the size of their pizzas and bring in ingredients designed for long shelf life and Nostra only offers one size and that's the proper 16" which is what a large is supposed to be and buy all their ingredients locally, it's worth every damn cent. Don't write some bs that they don't offer special dietary requirements because there are tons of those place around, not every place needs to adhere to you. Longer hours and more days and I would have for sure given the full 5 stars. read more

A great pizza place in Mississauga. Located on Lakeshore, there are many options to choose from but this one is a solid one. We ordered ahead to pick up our pizzas. We had the chance to watch them make a couple of pizzas while they finished ours up in the oven. They make thin pizzas, with good dough and ingredients. We ordered the pepperoni and the meaty margerita. I personally love when a pizza place has cupping pepperoni. They don't have any seating inside but there are patio tables outside if you wanted to enjoy your pizza right away. Can't wait to try the other pizzas they offer too. read more

Solid pizza spot! No hesitation to call it the best pizza on this end. I've been seeing friends who are locals of Port Credit frequenting this joint but initially didn't think it was anything more than a neighborhood go-to. I'm super glad I popped into Pizza Nostra to try it myself one day and boy, have they been proving me wrong since. Margherita and Cheese slices, you can't miss. Regardless of what you're getting, their crust and sauce is always on point. Marco has served me a few times and service has always been speedy and friendly. Great 3.5-star pie... Easily one of the best pizzas in Mississauga, and rivals anything in Scarborough too, respectfully. Their website automatically plays a video of their in-person review by One Bite Pizza Reviews' David Portnoy, right next to a an equally sized area showing their address, phone number, and operating hours. Inside the store, I only noticed 2 hanging portraits: one of David Portnoy, the other of the owner/proprietor with David Portnoy. Nonetheless, the shameless homage was super corny. Older photos of the inside show there used to be 3 large menu boards where the 2 said portraits are now...so the only obvious way to know what is on the menu is off the website only, at this time. They offer 14" and 16" pies. The 16" "Cheese" is $23.00 (a fair price), which is what was ordered. Asked for "well done" and "thin." Added extra cheese (mozz') for $3.50 extra. Extra toppings for both sizes are the same price, interestingly. The cheese was superbly savoury, the tomato sauce was "phenomenal" (not watery, but a tiny bit sweet and mainly savoury with citric hints). The dough was "good" and pleasantly thin and wasn't at all "sweet" and balanced well with the savoury toppings, but lacked significant amount of airpockets/bubbles. Although the dough was thin, the extra cheese probably was the reason the top-side of the dough could have been been more well-done, but the under-side was nice and crisp to balance things out. Liked that there wasn't much char. The "Cheese" pie was very reminiscent of the (now unavailable) "Neo-NY Style" pizza from Pizzeria Libretto (which is a good thing). read more

Our go to pizza pickup spot! My fave is the Joey pizza (I am an olive lover!!) it's so good. The pizza crust is so light and airy, somehow I can eat more slices from here than anywhere else lol. As a first time customer, I was impressed with the taste and style of pizza. I am a customer of JP's pizza and this pizza is a different and a great alternative. $33 was pretty reasonable, but would have preferred the Sicilian deep dish...Maybe next time. I don't even know where to start, wow! This was so good! I walked in and ordered a pepperoni pizza and it took only 10 minutes for them to make fresh. The crust is thin and cooked perfectly, crisp but with a good chew. The sauce was great and the amount of cheese was perfect, not too much but still cheesy with a nice pull and the little pepperonis were very tasty. The lady at the register was very friendly and the two guys making the food were very nice as well. The house made creamy garlic sauce is everything I have dreamed of, super garlicky and delicious! It paired perfectly with the pizza. There is nowhere to sit and eat inside the place so I just sat in my car but I didn't even care because the food was so good. I purchased a pepperoni pizza (which I think the pizzas only come in one size, 8 large slices), the creamy garlic sauce and a pop. The total was $31 which surprised me a little but like I said the food was delicious so it was definitely worth it! This was my first time there and I will definitely be coming back! Ps. First of all, location is very weird. It's located along a strip of Lakeshore, in between Port Credit and Clarkson. And I believe, that the majority of their business is local as there is no parking lot and only stool seating. Pizza Nostra is primarily pick-up, as opposed to dine-in. I could be wrong, but I don't think they're big enough to do delivery. Quality though is GOOD, especially the texture of the dough which is 50% of what makes a good pizza. This pizza was MUCH BETTER than a busy, sit down place that I recently visited, down the road... Pizza is NOT cheap though. Just check out their online menu to get an idea. Personal pizzas are around $15 and I ate about 2 pieces in one sitting. Pizza is crispy, thin crust, and it wasn't soggy in the middle. Best enjoyed fresh, so don't wait too long before you dig in! It was definitely neither greasy nor too bready. Again, too bad it's in a location that it is. I believe this place would do much better if it was located more centrally, had some seating, and more importantly, parking! read more

Ordered the Kiki Pizza (medium size) for $35. Yes it was quite pricey, but the ingredients are fresh and you can taste the difference, as cheesey as it sounds.... Their hot sauce drizzle was delicious and added a really nice kick to the pizza. Their crust is what stood out to me the most. It was perfectly crisp on the bottom, yet it maintained a really nice chewy texture that is hard to find with pizza joints in the GTA. Cost about $15 pretty over price IMO ah well beats driving to David Steak Hoagies in Niagara falls New York. Waiting about 10 mins for my sandwich there's a Flat screen tv there so you can watch tv while you wait. Probably next time I'll call ahead and order for pick up so I don't have to wait as long. Now to the steak & cheese hoagie. It was good almost tasted like a hoagie but it was missing something. I dunno maybe the bread has to be deep fried or something but it wasn't the kind of steak hoagie I was looking for. Definitely I would head back again to try their other hoagies and base on the pizza orders they get I'd imagine their pizza must be good too. On our way back to Cleveland after spending the weekend in Toronto, we planned to grab lunch. Wanting to get out of downtown so we could park in a normal parking lot, my wife found Pizza Nostra on Yelp. It was a few miles out of our way, but the reviews were telling us it was worth it. I couldn't agree with the other reviews more. The pizza is insanely good. Waiting for our pizza, we chatted with the owners who were two of the nicest guys you will ever meet. We could have sat and talked with them ate pizza and watched the Jets almost beat the Pats all day long. We truly felt like we were guests in their kitchen. We ordered a cheese & onion pizza, and I must admit, it was probably the best pizza I've had in a really, really long time... and I've had a lot of pizza! Crust was perfect, and the sauce and cheese were stellar. We talked about ingredients, and the owners told us they wouldn't make a pizza that they wouldn't eat themselves. It's clear they use fresh high quality ingredients and really care about providing a superior product for their customers. We will definitely be stopping back at Pizza Nostra when visiting the area again. I told my wife that I'd drive the 5 hours just to taste that pizza again! If you've read my reviews, you know I seriously love pizza. My fav pizza place is still Lombardi's. But I've found the best pizza outside of NYC. It trumps all other pizza places. Chains? Go get stuffed! Ma and Pa shops? I'm sorry but, this is seriously the best. And for good reason: the folks here got their training in Jersey! And it is so close to my apartment that my bank account balance is suffering! I discovered my FAVOURITE PIZZA OF ALL TIME HERE. It's their KIKI pizza! The combination of bitter rapini, creamy ricotta, sweet roasted bell peppers, freshly grated Grana Padano cheese and everything else...it's such an amazing flavour experience, it's really hard to put into words. Just get it. Yes, it's pricey. Yes, it's worth it. Every single time. Their dough is flavourful and simple. My guess it has flour, olive oil and salt. But I'm sure they won't share their secrets ;) The crust is thin and never overcooked. Their Deluxe is excellent, as is the pizza known as Dayna. Yes, maple syrup on pizza works! Pepperoni is simple and delicious. Margherita is AMAZING. Their house made hot sauce is outstanding, and their salsa verde SHOULD BE SOLD IN MASON JARS. I WOULD PUT THIS SHIT ON EVERYTHING! Herbaceous and tangy, this sauce is out of this world! The hoagies are delicious. The bread is flavourful and dense. It doesn't taste like you're eating cotton batting. It's FLAVOURFUL. The Cheesesteak is excellent and so is the Italian. But be ready to drink loads of fluids after, but that's only because it's deli meat, and it's high in salt. Still...worth it! The Porchetta may be my favourite. It's hard to choose. And it's PORKETTA. NOT POR-CH-ETTA. You silly goose! I love their potato wedges as well. Really nice and flavourful seasoning. Andreas, Marco, their mama and Lilly are seriously nice and funny people. Finally I don't have to go to Etobicoke just for really great pizza!!! Come here all the time now. Great for classic slices or for full pies. Their signature White Pizza is incredible! I was never one for tomato sauceless pizzas but this one is amazing, and so is their Big Marc! Think a Big Mac on a pizza... I know it sounds bizarre but it's seriously delicious and more satisfying than going to MCDonalds that's for sure. These guys have me hooked! The salami on their hoagies is seriously the best deli meat I've ever eaten! Really hope they put buffalo wings and a buffalo chicken hoagie on the menu! I've been meaning to write a review for a while now. My wife and I moved to Mississauga from Toronto a year ago and a search for our new pizza place left us a little underwhelmed. That all changed when we stumbled upon Pizza Nostra. This is the BEST pizza I have had in recent memory. Everything from the sauce, cheese, crust, etc. is incredible, the style reminds me so much of New York. There hasn't been one option that has disappointed us yet, but my favorite has to be the Marco special (the new Sicilian is a close second). Surprise ! I haven't been to Pizza Nostra for a long while. I ask myself why was I away for so long. I had the Chicken Parm. sandwich and I think it is better than ever! The sandwiches are made fresh. The meat is delicious and tender, the sauce is great and the buns are terrific and crispy. The sandwiches are huge. Great value for excellent food.
