This is such a cute spot! We tried the Greek deep dish pizza and it was really good. The individual size was actually pretty heavy, so if you're getting appetizers on the side it's definitely enough. They also had a deal for wings (13 for $13) which was honestly great. We got honey garlic and buffalo. The buffalo was pretty tangy and a bit spicy (not really my favourite), but the honey garlic was nice. The pizza tasted fresh and you can tell they use good ingredients. We added the dragon sauce on top and it was such a nice touch. The interior is really cute too, and the service was super polite. They had Christmas decorations everywhere which made the place feel extra cozy, plus a bunch of board games you can play. Such a nice, homey vibe. It wasn't very busy when we went, more laid back and chill, which was actually really nice. Overall, it's a cute local spot and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area! read more

Some people were studying, others were playing board games, a few were watching the game at the bar, and plenty were just hanging out for dinner. It's lively but still comfortable. I did take out. We had the deep dish pizza and chicken wings, and both were great. The pizza had a nice crust with lots of toppings, and the wings were crispy and flavorful. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at The Hungry Italian was honestly terrible. It took 22 minutes just to receive a Caesar salad, and 49 minutes for our main order. I know it was 22 minutes because I received a text message just as I placed our order. We were seriously considering leaving because the wait was so long especially with my 5-year-old starving. Her kids pizza alone took 30 minutes to arrive. To make matters worse, the Caesar salad had a fruit fly in it. Odd for the winter season, but it was clearly flying around in the dish. We informed the waitress, who brought over someone I assume was the manager and took the plate away. I expected they would remove it from the bill, but they didn't. The food itself was mediocre at best we've had much better Italian elsewhere. Definitely not worth the wait or making plans to go. Service was extremely poor. Getting a waiter's attention was difficult all night. In the end, I had to go to the front counter just to ask for the bill. I paid, left no tip due to the experience, and when I tried to print the receipt, I was told the machine had no paper. The employee simply walked away with it, so I left without one. All around a horrible experience. I would not recommend going. For being in Oakville "Joshua Creek" you would expect a superior restaurant. Small place, poor service mediocre food. If you want a similar pizza place with better service go to Pizza Hut. read more

This place was Awesome (literally, with a capital "A"). It is located in a small strip mall with a ton of parking available. It is a family friendly joint with a full bar, and a decent sized dining are with tables and hi-tops. They have televisions in the dining area and over the bar that were playing sports while I was there. They resturant has a laid back kind of vibe. The staff there was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. They serve a wide range of food including fries, onion rings, salads and pizzas. They look like they are known for their pizzas though. They also have some tasty looking shakes, cookies, cheesecake, and floats. There are also some adult beverage available for those that care to indulge. They serve a lot of halal food, but I have no idea what that is. I got the Whole Hog individual pizza for me and the cheese pizza for the littles. It took about 10 minutes for us to get our food. It was so delicious. I loved it. The littles liked theirs too. The little also got one of their strawberry cheese cake shakes. It was as good as it looked. I highly recommend checking this place out. I should've tried classic flavours but got something I don't usually get so maybe that's why I wasn't too much of a fan. I was hoping the pie wouldn't taste too doughy. It was great: a meaty, tasty mess. The drizzle offset the flavour of the rest of the pizza pleasantly. Also had the small Deep Dish Smokey. It was also a tasty mess, with lots of cheese & toppings, which was gratifying. It was a little dry, with not that much sauce, but given that it was BBQ sauce more would've been too heavy. On a Friday night after a busy week at work, the last thing I wanted to do was prepare dinner. We drove out to Mississauga to check out Mickey's as we had heard a lot of good things about their pizzas. A fan of deep dish, we ordered two types of pizzas from the menu. The garlic sauce that they will drizzle on your pizza is a nice touch. I was starving because we had to wait 40 minutes for our order so standards were honestly low. I came in today after eating at the former (Mickey's Pizza) location 6 years ago - which was a fantastic joint. After I ordered, the owner Sandy came up and spoke to me for a good 20 minutes, I have never seen an owner take the time to speak to guests like that - it is such a rarity. She was extremely sweet and we talked through the challenges of owning a restaurant and how they came to this new location. She also gave me great detail on how to manage the deep dish pizza as a takeaway vs. dine-in. Overall, this type of guest experience is something you would only see at very premier restaurants - I truly have to commend Sandy on keeping the atmosphere warm and inviting. The pizza was an easy 10/10 - my wife and I really enjoyed it. This is easily the best deep dish pizza I've ever had. Hope to return soon. read more

You can get two styles of pizzas - the regular thin pizza (like at other establishments) or the signature deep dish "dragon" pizza. The thin pizzas are cheaper than the deep dish ones. There are also two sizes of each pizza - a regular sized and one that is larger - to cater to your hunger. The dragon pizza is a Chicago style deep dish pizza made with as little or as many toppings as you like. There are various preset ingredient combinations and there are various ingredients you can choose from for a custom made combination. If you love the classic pepperoni and cheese pizza, you will absolutely LOVE it here - the cheese is very gooey and stringy on the pizza when you take a bite and they layer the pepperoni so each bite has several pepperonis. Amazing. Stuff. Omg. My personal favourite toppings are the pepperonis, mushrooms, sausages, and extra cheese. The pizza takes about 25-30 minutes to be made - so definitely come here hungry but also patient! Trust me, the wait will be worth it. FOOD: I had come here on a Saturday evening at around 7:00 pm for a deep-dish pizza, as I had heard great things about this type of pizza from this establishment. I had settled on the Baby Killer King Dragon Pizza ($10.45), which was good to feed 1-2 people; the only additional topping that I had ordered was pepperoni, which was an additional $1.90. In terms of the pizza itself, I was actually surprised to see how small it was, I was expecting it to be bigger. However, once I had bit into it, I noticed that it was quite deep, which was filling in itself. The only thing that I wasn't too keen on was that there was only a thin layer of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on the top, with the remaining thickness consisting of crust, which included a lot of inner bread, along with a thick layer on the bottom. The pizza itself was "okay" however, nothing that I hadn't had before. I felt that I paid quite a lot for a pizza which consisted mostly of bread and crust, which I didn't find as appetizing as I would have hoped. I could tell that a lot of work was put into making the pizza appear presentable, which was something that I appreciated of the staff. ATMOSPHERE: This establishment was situated in a small strip plaza on Lakeshore Road West in Mississauga. The other businesses were not busy as it was a Saturday evening therefore, parking was easy to find. However, there was no seating available inside or out, which made it difficult for me to eat my pizza hot (I had to drive home which was a good distance away before I could eat it comfortably). I found that the place was also quite narrow, which made it difficult for people who were leaving, and those that were coming-in to order. There was a lot of signage on the walls, with the menu written in chalk near the front door. I found the menu to be very confusing, as there were too many options, and with people walking back and forth in front of me, it wasn't easy to read at all. It was also loud and hot inside, which made it uncomfortable as we waited for the pizza to be made, which was 25 minutes. I wished there were more places to sit, or even a more straightforward menu which was easy to navigate. SERVICE: When I had gone to the cashier to place my order, I found that he was very pleasant, along with being quite patient, considering it was my first time, and I was unsure of specific things related to the ordering procedure and ingredients available. When I was waiting for my pizza, I was told that the cook had a question for the sauce on the top. He was also quite pleasant, and waited for me to come in from outside where I was waiting. I found that the staff were helpful, which made me happy to see. COST: 1 Baby Killer King Dragon Pizza ($10.45) + Extra Topping (Pepperoni; $1.90) = $12.35 + Tax = $13.95 WOULD YOU RETURN? No; I didn't feel that the money was worth the pizza that I had received. I also didn't enjoy the atmosphere, and wouldn't want to have to take my pizza home to eat once again. read more

3.5 I'm conflicted on what to rate this place. I opted for takeout and was really excited to try this deep dish pizza. The reviews looked good and the pics did too. After confirming with the servers this is what I was expecting, I was eager to order. The order came in a cute takeout box with a dragon on top (my mistake for not taking a picture). I opted for a cheese deep dish pizza. By the time I got home it was cold already, so I had to reheat the pizza which was no problem (my commute was long). I reheated in the oven and it warmed up nicely. The cheese was very melty and delicious...but the pizza wasn't exactly deep dish like in Chicago (you can see in the picture). I mean it was good I have to say and made some great leftovers for lunch the next day, but it wasn't deep dish. For the price point of about $20 and the drive, I probably won't be going back anytime soon. But it does taste quite good. If you live nearby then by all means check it out, but I wouldn't say it's worth the trek from RHill. read more

I came here for the first time after hearing people rave about the deep dish pizza here. I was not disappointed !!! We ordered the large size deep dish pizza to share between two people and it was more than enough. We chose pepperoni, sausage, and extra cheese as toppings. I like how this place also drizzle sauces for you for free. It came to be more than $30 which is a bit pricey for a pizza but I thought it was worth the money. The pizza was so gooooooood!!! Wow. This was a great and unexpected find. We ordered two small pizzas and could have easily split one between the two of us -- but they all sounded so good that we couldn't decide on one. We had the thin crust Mediterranean and thin crust deluxe and they were incredible. The crust is delicious and toppings are fresh and plentiful. Probably among the best pizzas we have ever eaten! We also ordered two dipping sauces - the garlic and the cilantro, and they were both good. The cilantro, in particular, really added to the experience. And last but not least, we also had a Dragon in the Garden salad, and it was phenomenal, especially the Green Garden Dragon Dressing. Next time we'll order an extra dressing- one isn't quite enough for this big salad. Where to begin? It's absolutely terrible, from the price to the service. They ask if you would like refills of your drinks, but do not tell you that they are not free refills and at $4 a shot, it adds up rather quickly. Not to mention how insanely the pizza is priced. We had not ordered from Mickeys in a while, the last time we tried they were sold out of product. This was one of our favourite pizza places when they first opened. What a disappointment now! We ordered 2 of their pizzas, one the Greek signature with additional pineapple and the other a 3 topping. The cost of the pizzas was almost $60, that was not the problem, the issue was the lack of toppings and cheese. The cost per topping was $2.55, there was a total of 18 pieces of 1 cm squared pineapple on the entire pizza. When you go up to pay for your pizza at Mickey's, there's a sign that says they want to make the best pizza that you ever eaten, I think the might perhaps be the best pizza I've ever had. Mickey's pie is just perfection and is an absolute hidden gem. Upon walking in, there isn't too many tables are chairs here so be warned!, you're greeted with cute dragon art and this massive menu board (or should I say wall) of the ingredients, sizes, and types of pizza they offer. It's very informative and I like how they had the size of the pans and dishes there. We ordered a baby killer dragon (aka a small chicago style deep dish pizza). There's very little places around the GTA that offer deep dish and this was amazing! I was under the impression that there would be a saving if you went with their premade selections but you're essentially paying for ingredients here, and the signature pizzas are moreso a guideline of ingredients you get. So be warned and choose the ingredients you want! They do have a sample calculation on the wall, but it was almost too convoluted that it passed us. But enough of that, let's talk food and pizza. We got the Greek vegetarian pizza with spinach, artichokes, fresh tomatoes, and feta cheese. It was amazing. You get your choice of dragon drizzle on the deep dishes. We went with the cilantro half, and classic dragon half. Those sauces were amazing! They were creamy and added tons of flavor to the pizza. The classic was sweet and garlicky while the cilantro was very refreshing and went well with the vegetarian pizza. The dough perfect. Crust was perfectly crisp, the middle had a nice chew, the pizza held up well, and the dough was slightly sweet. I could literally just eat the dough itself. The ingredients were pretty hefty, the cheese was super stringy and substantial. The veggies were all present in good portions but I did feel there could have been a bit more for the small size. Of course if you get a bigger pizza, you'd get more worth from those ingredients! But overall, just a great tasting pizza and some great friendly service as well. read more

Bring your hungriest hangry here... actually, expect leftovers still. Better yet... just bring your friends and you may get to finish the feast that they box up for you. I've heard about this place for years but for most of us in GTA, trekking to Clarkson area isnt a normal occurrence for me. BUT after making the trek here, I can say that if you're a hardcore deep dish lover, this would be worthy of that drive down. Featured in the Food Network Canada "You gotta eat here" (think a less peroxide and more Canadian hometown feel to Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives), I heard the place exploded and the wait for pizza could easily reach an hour. Fast forward a few years later, I found myself oddly in the area and was debating which of the monster pizzas I would order. For starters, the staff here is amazingly warm, informative, and quick. I think with the crazy amount of pizzas and take out they do, they need to be speedy to keep up the pace. I easily saw 10+ orders of take out go out the door in the 10 minutes I was there. The space has some seating but it's a really cozy casual place and more geared towards take out. That being said, it was clear it was a beloved spot where the staff was often found talking to long time patrons about their family. With Mickey's you could get the traditional pan pizza style which is cooked over a really interesting open rotating disk that looks to be cooked via an infrared(??) oven. The deep dish pizza are in the traditional oven and then placed on the open rotating one to finish off. I saw a few pizza being assembled and Mickey's does not skip out on the meat... so if your a carnivore, this is your spot. We saw layers and layers and layers of bacon, pepperoni, and whatever else being thrown in to make a single pizza. Smokey Dragon pizza (aka. stupid amount of bacon with bbq sauce) - with the smallest size ordered, this felt like 2 large stacks of pizzas when I picked up the box. With the extra drizzle of spicy chipotle, we could spell the bbq spices just filling up the car on the drive back. When we opened up the box, it was easy to see this pizza was at least 2 inches thick and just filled with the good stuff. Though our pizza wasn't as saucy as the ones in the website, the bbq sauce was in every bite and it was meat overload. I would say that this is a pretty good version for Toronto. I think if it had more sauce and a more buttery crust, it'll get closer to the ones in Chicago. 4/5 Seeing how Toronto doesnt really have it's own claim to any pizza style and most of the time, it's the commercial grade pan pizza. Mickey's definitely break past that terrible spongey version with a good flavoured crust and lots of good toppings. It's a solid pizza for Toronto! read more

I have not had better pizza in my life to date. I got the deep dish pappys pizza which had chicken, mozzarella, caramelized onions, drizzle of tomatoes sauce and lots and lots of mozzarella cheese. This costed us $57.50 to be exact and had 10 massive slices. To me this could easily feed 4 to 5 people. The pizza was not doughy and the toppings were generously added. The chicken was shredded and full of flavour. My favourite part was that they not cheap out on the cheese and only added a drizzle of tomato sauce. I was more than happy with the amount and the flavour of cheese on it. I would happily return to this place and try out other flavours! read more

Had heard a lot about Mickey's, decided it was time to check out this joint that was featured on "You Gotta Eat Here" show on Food Network. The place is small and has 5 high chairs to seat inside and 3 tables outside to sit on a warm day. The food mainly consists of pizza, garlic bread and fries. Ordered a Garlic Bread with cheese and a Jumbo Deep Dish Green Dragon - removed the red peppers and added smoked cheese instead. The Pizza took a good 20 minutes to make. The Garlic Bread was very good. The crust perfect deep dish with garlic and cheese. Would have preferred a bit more garlic and less butter (don't like to see butter floating on top). The pizza deep dish , but not even close to Chicago Style. The crust same as garlic bread - perfect. The topping they did not skimped. The whole olives were nice touch. The green peppers still a bit crunchy. The smoked cheese flavour missing. The pizza, garlic bread and a drink - $55+. A bit steep but we had some slices left. The best pizza I have ever had - no. Everything was amazing including the marinara sauce, gooey cheese, chicken, bbq sauce and throughly cooked crust. The only issue was that they added cherry tomatoes instead of sun dried tomatoes.
