Just off the Marienplatz, Pizzarei offers a variety of pizza and Italian dishes at affordable prices. First off, we didn't have a reservation. Munich is a city that you're going to want to get reservations for dining out in the evening. That said, we walked up with my mother-in-law, who was in a wheel chair and another woman came out and said, come with me. I thought we'd be turned away or have to split our group into a table of two and three but she found us a table upstairs for all five of us and showed us next door to the elevator and brought us in through the back entrance. That, is some exceptional customer service!! The food was excellent, there is pizza and pinsa, do yourself a favor, order the pinsa. The pinsa is a thicker, sourdough crust and it's just freaking good! The food came out pretty quickly, they speak English well if your German language proficiency isn't so good. This is a nice restaurant very close to the famous Marienplatz. Food - Good, the margherita was pretty good, but they do NOT cut the pizza into slices for you at all, you must do that yourself. The spaghetti carbonara was good, and the black burger was great. Service - Very nice, friendly and helpful Parking - Very difficult to find in this area, probably just use the metro to Marienplatz and walk. Overall, this place is great. read more

We went here for a casual dinner after walking around Marienplatz. The cozy interior and menu were inviting. They have many menu options to please any palate. We ordered bruschetta, pizza and spaghetti bolognese. The tomatoes in the bruschetta were fresh and tangy. The pizza crust was a little flimsy but the flavor was tasty. The spaghetti was delicious and the portions were very filling. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Stopped here on a busy night when we needed a change from fest food, and a cozy spot. Well, it's cozy! The host accommodated our party without a reservation, and soon we were feasting on pizza and pinsa. The waiter said the pizzas were individual-sized, but we disagree - spouse and I should have shared the Diablo (hot! Yes!) instead of getting separate orders. Wine list is okay and the primotivo was fruitier than expected, but not bad. Salad a tad overdressed, but fresh. Pinsa was not as marvelously crispy as authentic Roman pinsa and the edge crust was too big, but again, pretty good. I'd give the food 3.5 stars, with the bump to 4 for ambiance - cozy but vibrant upstairs! And the friendly service. read more

Ok, so check it. To be fair, we eat A LOT of pizza. So when I say this pizza isn't in our top 5, isn't meant to be a slight. It just is what it is. To be fair, it's a super cool place to hang out, prices are very reasonable, and the staff are nice. It's a great overall experience, even if it wasn't the greatest pizza we've ever had. Pizza is good. Had ravioli and it wasn't great. Drinks are wonderful. Apps I saw looked great.

Pretty poor experience. Was sat upstairs and it was hot as hell, even during the winter. We ordered the Caesar Salad and the Prosciutto de Fungi Pizza. The Caesar was drenched and tasted like a "out of the bag" Caesar. The Pizza was undercooked, didn't have any Prosciutto, just deli ham, and was not cut. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because the staff seemed to be working very hard. This place was trying too hard to focus on being cool for Tik Toks, maybe focus on the food first. read more
