Downside: the orange juice was extremely watery (I hate that... they add water to the orange juice to make it cheaper... obviously the price doesn't drop, just their profit increase). The first time I went, i ordered an Executivo dish, it was their Filé Parador. It wasnt bad, i just felt like it was a small portion. or at least how it was presented on the plate, made it feel small. The second time i went back, i ordered a "montado" dish - which was salad, risotto and file mignon. It was GOOD! the presunto de parma crocante risotto was great and perfect mix with the meat. Dishes are on the pricier end (R$35-R$45) but i can tell you that all the plates from our party were clean at the end. They also have some daily specials which are not on the menu, so make sure to ask the waiter. As we enter summer, the weather has been a bit humid, and if you seating in their 'outside' area, it can get a bit stuffy feel , even tho there are fans. Also, i find that depending on who sits near you (i.e. if you get a noisy group), it can be a bit noisy. It is a small space, with an open area seating area. They also have Wi-fi. :) But, it is still a good option to have for a nice meal while in Downtown Rio.

It's quaint and tucked away, the food is always fresh and the service is especially friendly (particularly from the bilingual lady who I think is the owner). It's clear that a lot of effort goes into keeping Severino at the top of many people's lists. Everything's made in house and the place starts to get really busy around 1 o'clock. I love the hummus (great flavor!) and the sandwiches. While fairly simple, everything comes out tasty. Great spot to lunch solo or with a friend. Wine and beer served, desserts too!
