Made in a classic clay-like pizza oven, the dough was tasty and ingredients were fresh. We all left extremely full. Prices were low to me for what we got plus beer our bill was cheap. If you're in Köln and looking for a nice night out for Italian food then come here. Been around Köln for 5 weeks and this was the best restaurant here. I suggest making reservations ahead of time. Someone else said it on here so I did it. It was full the whole night. It's worth it to come here!

It's located in a side street of the pedestrian zone, so easy to get to, but easily overlooked since it's a half-level below street level. Rather small, with about a dozen tables and a limited bar area, but outside tables in the summer. Due to the size, reservations are recommended, unless you're on your own or as a couple. Large groups could have problems fitting, so best for 2-4 people. When I came in on a Saturday evening at 18:30, all the free tables were reserved (but for later in the evening), so was still able to be seated. Started off with a nice cream of tomato soup, then turkey stuffed with avocado from the seasonal menu. There's also a good selection of pasta, pizza, as well as some meat and fish dishes. Service was very prompt. Prices are slightly above average, but definitely worth the price. Not your run-of-the-mill Italian on the corner, and has the customers to match. The staff was very friendly (offering the table in advance of the following reservation). Definitely recommended for Italian food in an upper-scale atmosphere (but certainly not pretentious).

The specials were mainly seafood although they did have other dishes. The dishes we enjoyed were: - the Tuna tartar (wonderfully clean flavours) - the fish soup (excellent) - the chef's antipasto (delightful section of small dishes) - the grilled Dorado fillet very nicely done - the grilled fish plate (2 kinds of grilled fish fillets and some grilled prawns excellent) - the spaghetti Bolognese (the ragu is something to behold.. deep flavourful) - the Tiramisu (very tasty and surprisingly light.(like it is made with mouses)) On top of this very friendly service (even tough we were a bit underdressed) really made this one of the highlights (if not the highlight) of our trip to Oberhausen. We will definitely try to return here next time we visit Oberhausen..
