    Seafood (fruits de mer) salad

Exceptional, one of the best European pizzas I've ever had if not the best. Definitely the best I've had in Geneva, and I've been to this city 50 or so times. We were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Many places in Europe are closed on Sunday, but Paolo opened at 11:45 am. We walked in and were greeted by a group of people. Our waiter sat us at at a table in the back. He was a very friendly person and served with a smile the entire time. The entire restaurant seems incredibly warm. By the time 12:30 pm rolled around it was almost full, obviously a popular spot. Started with a small seafood salad that came in a generous portion. Fresh mussels, shrimp, squid and octopus on a bed of greens, combined with peppers, olive oil, and parsley. Really hit the spot. I got the Capricciosa pizza that included mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, oregano, and an egg. The crust was so soft and chewy, incredible mouthfeel to it. Perfect sauce, nice acidity that added a good backbone and balance to the cheese. Generous amount of ham and mushrooms, and the egg brought it all together. Added some nice moisture with the yolk too. Incredible pizza. My dad got the gorgonzola special with spicy salami. I had a slice and it was also very good. I had a glass of Chianti to complement everything. Excellent food and great service. Nice location near the lake. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here around 730pm on a Saturday and it was fairly crowded. Our hotel called ahead, and we were told a reservation wasn't needed. Seating is tight! You'll have to pull your chair in while others pass behind. They give olives as a little salty taste in a bowl. We ordered a red wine 7chf, and local beer on tap, 8 chf. Then, we each got a pizza. Mine had mozzarella, goat cheese and arugula. But, it had a strange Brie like taste that I didn't care for. But as it cooled, the goat cheese was more prominent. The other pizza was mozzarella and spicy Italian sausage. This one was much better! Simple and great! Service was acceptable, the pizzas come out super fast and the oven off the side of a dining room for a cool view. The pizzas were about 24chf each, so it was moderately priced.

Was traveling for work and colleagues recommended. Lots of options on the menu. Opted for tomato, onion, and garlic pizza. Although I was surprised at the quantity of onions and picked some off, the pizza was AMAZING.

As is typical in Geneva, to go out and eat, is not cheap. The challenge in Geneva and in Switzerland, is to find a price that matches the quality of the food you are eating. For a pizza you are looking at paying around 22 CHF. I have eaten at several Italian restaurants in Geneva and my favorites so far are Lugia and Da Paulo. They offer much more than pizza here, but I can't help but get it each time as it is very good. They also offer a nice salad.

Expect to pay 20- 30 CHF for a pie that is a generous portion for one- but hey, it's Geneva and eating out is not a cheap proposition.
