A delicious meal to welcome us to Salerno!!…read more The gentleman who took our order was fantastic! It was very crowded, busy, and we got there about 45 minutes before closing, but he welcomed us and took such good care of us! I had the bream and my husband had cod with marinara. They were perfection!! The tables were small and crowded, which felt a little tight, but I wouldn't change a thing!
Dear Mamma Rosa, thank you for feeding two starving travellers your delicious food! Your pasta…read moredishes, especially the Paccheri alla Genovese with octopus plus chopped pistachios, were the best we had during our entire Italy trip. Our waiter, who is the son of Mamma Rosa, also helped us discover a new way to eat lemon cake: spray it with salted water to really bring out the sweet and tangy flavours. If we visit the Amalfi Coast again, I hope to stay a few days in Salerno so I can visit Mamma Rosa everyday.

We had a lovely lunch under lemon trees here. Our favorites:…read more* Scoglio 1903: seafood pasta with lots of mussels, clams, and shrimp * Spaghetti and clams: made with parsley oil, so not your typical spaghetti and clams * Cubotto di manzo: beef steak The restaurant is best for their seafood dishes, although the beef steak was seared well and probably one of the better steaks I've had in Italy. The non-seafood pastas were just so-so. We also ordered the pasta with truffles and pasta alla Nerano (pasta with zucchini sauce); both were forgettable unfortunately (1 star off). Bread was freshly baked in house and tasted amazing. Fresh basil leaves and lemon zest were added to olive oil, which was a nice change from traditional bread and plain olive oil. Service could be a little bit more attentive, because we were not given a plate to discard shells from our seafood pasta or a steak knife for steak. We had to ask for them specifically. LOL.

Our waiter knew just enough English and we knew just enough Spanish/ Italian to get by. The menu here is QR code, but there is little cell reception there for our internet to work. Overall the food was delicious. This penne was so cheesy and tomatoey. The mussels were cooked in a simple salt and pepper broth really allowing their natural flavors to pop. Both the mussels and the lemons were from the Almafi coast!

A welcoming restaurant with wonderful food!…read more Tasty food, moderate prices, and great views of the surrounding countryside from the outdoor patio. This restaurant is run by a kind family who not only helped us find last-minute accommodations when our original booking fell through, but also went out of their way to make sure our stay in Dragonea was extraordinary. We had four wonderful dinners at La Fattoria. They also had gluten-free options for our daughter. Our favorites were the homemade pasta with seafood, the caprese salad, and the house red wine with fresh peaches.

Prices are inflated compared to menu ones and they claim are giving you a discount. Note: Italian menu prices already include taxes.
