This was the best meal on my 10day trip across Italy. The servers were so nice and the food was exquisite. We had the mixed spaghetti with shrimp, prawns and langoustine. We also trie the mixed seafood appetizer that gave us a little sample of the variety of flavors this place has to offer. The catch of the day was my favorite. A buttery, garlicky grilled fish. As a side dish we went with the grilled veggies. Super flavorful. Overall, a very delicious meal. Would definitely come again for seconds. read more

Really, really good frutti di mare pasta here and highly recommended by a local. It's what they're known for (hence that's what all my friends and I got) and their seafood is so fresh. They have the option of spaghetti noodles or this giant type of pasta (I forgot what it's called), and for 9 euros it's really filling. Service charge is 1.5 euro, but they do serve bread on the house. They have a lot of other seafood options here as well. Cute outdoor seating and friendly service! read more

Molto buono e particolare l'anti pasto della casa con pesce in vario modo ( dalla parmigiana con il baccalà, alle propellerete di alici). Anche i dolci sono assolutamente squisiti. This is where the locals go for high quality low cost dining in an otherwise tourists packed part of Italy. We were recommended this restaurant by a local shop vendor who was not intrested in selling us touristy items but was intrested in us having an authentic experience. The pasta was excellent as could be expected for this region the portions were much healthier than in other restaurants we had recently eaten in. Bread was served to the table without us being charged for it like we were finding in some of the other more touristy locations. We got to the restaurant earlier than their opening time by about 30 minutes and they were accommodating enough to open up, allowing us to sit down and start serving us even though they had not officially opened this was a much different experience than we found and other restaurants who refuse to open their doors before official opening time. Because this is the famous pottery district all of their dinner plates were customized with the restaurant name which added to the experience in a positive way. read more

We had such a wonderful experience here tonight! We dined on a Monday night and the entire outdoor seating area (around 20 seats) was full with a nice mix of locals and tourists. The prices are reasonable, the portions generous. Highlights of the meal were the octopus antipasti, seafood pasta and lemon cake for dessert. Recommended to us by the caretaker of the villa and we could not have been happier. We became fast friends with Sergio and Lucia. The food was fantastic and prices were very reasonable. This feels more like a locals place than one for tourists. We had a wonderful experience at 34. I ordered pasta siciliana which was excellent. Eggplant was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered gnocchi with sausage which was a disappointment- it was sitting in a pile of oil with no real sauce. He also got the small fried fish plate, the waiter who was wonderful asked several times if that was really what he wanted. I think only locals usually order it. It was literally a plate of whole small fish that were fried. He said it was delicious but quite a bit of work to eat! We ended the dinner with delicious lemon cake and were given limoncello, I think for conquering the small fish plate! Wonderful service, food was good but not outstanding. Also would have enjoyed a view of the sea which this restaurant does not have. read more

This was the best restaurant we ate at in the area - in part I have to say that this evaulation is also a consideration of it being great value for money. While most places have fish primi from 12-16 euros, his are 9 euro. We had a plate of fried calamari to start, super yummy (8€). Two local fish primi (one with sardines from Cetara, the other with swordfish), which were ample and very good. If anything maybe a slight bit too oily for my tastes. Finished with a healthy green salad (very reasonable 3€) which was truly fresh and tasty and came already dressed (rare in Italy) but perfectly, with quality oil you can taste and tangy vinegar. We just had water and a quarto of wine, but dinner for 2 came to only 35 euro. Seriously, can't beat that. Service is friendly, atmosphere is family, my only complaint is that inside it got really loud when it was full. They have nice outside seating when it's warm enough! read more

One of the best places we have eaten while on vacation in Italy! The food was delicious and so fresh- definitely order the fresh pasta and the prosciutto with mozzarella! Amazing! Visiting from the states for a wedding at hotel Raito. Saw this little place and heard all the locals eat here, had to try it! Sergio was the best, treated us like family. Loved this place. so welcoming and on a street that you can tell mostly locals walk by. the food was good- we started with the peppered mussels which were amazing and fresh (sand still in the shell!) and I had the seafood pasta which was also good. definitely come for the seafood, as the other dishes were not as amazing as the seafood ones. but what really made this place GREAT was the service. sooooo friendly, our waiter Sergio was so kind to us and helped us choose our meals- you could tell he was grateful and happy we were there (and surprised too as we are American!). he gave us limoncello at the end on the house. really a wonderful restaurant run by people who invite you into their home. read more

Loved our dining experience at 34! This is a great place to get filled up before your drive on the Amalfi Coast. It is a true family owned restaurant. The staff and the food are amazing! We enjoyed the experience so much, we had to eat here a second time before returning to Rome. Salvatore took very god care of us and he, like the rest of the family, made us feel right at home. All home made from scratch, home cooking at its best. A family run business, and truly one of our best meals in Italy. Gnocchi were awesome as were the grilled calamari, breaded veal cutlet, excellent portions and all with very reasonable pricing. Very small cover that we happily welcomed as you get a wonderful bread basket that was happily replenished on request. This truly is the best restaurant in Vietri, read other reviews as well! I also have the caprese salad as well as pasta arrabiata with both being the best of the best. This is our second visit in two days and will return again tomorrow.
