We ordered our standard vegetarian meal-bruschetta, pizza, and salad. The bruschetta was simply excellent with the perfect amount of salt, olive oil, and garlic. The pizza (tomato basil) was probably the best we had in Italy. The salad was good and fresh, very simple as we love it. This might have just been the best food we had in all of Italy. The prices were also super cheap. I think our whole meal was under 20 euro.

When the salad came out, I was completely overwhelmed with not only the beauty, but the size. However...I ate it all! Ha. The lasagna was layer noodles with cheese and a type of meat sauce that overlapped on the top. My spaghetti arrabiata was the most perfect al dente topped with tomatoes and red peppers. Needless to say, we ate everything, almost in 1 swoop. The atmosphere is inviting, welcoming when in there, and so friendly you want to stay to eat more. Whereas I may never visit Volterra again, this place makes me think that if we are on a trip close by, I would make the journey just to eat there again!
