Meh. I could have made better pasta at home. The sauce was runny and noodles were the same as in the grocery store. With that in mind I had to pass on the black forest cake which I really wanted to try while in Triberg but didn't feel like being disappointed. The atmosphere and service was fantastic though. This charming restaurant rests below the street level in what feels like a cavern, with large Pinocchio statue, some 15 tables, but most importantly, perhaps the Best pizza we have had in our 10 day stay in Germany. Our kids are extremely picky with their food, and would not eat the simplest of dishes. But they were ecstatic about Pinocchio pizzas. We ordered 4 different ones, the sauce was freshly made and the tomatoes felt ripe and fit. Dishes were large and they threw in little extras for the kids - extra food, pencils and drawing papers for my youngest... Sweet place - we will surely return. read more

Worst Italian restaurant I have ever been! Restaurant is on the underground without windows. Staff was polite. Food was horrible! We ordered mafia pizza, tortellini and Italian salad. All 3 were horrible! The tortellini were dry, over cooked and came with a cheap tomato sauce. Salad did not have any taste with little or almost no dressing. Pizza had no match for the description and only tomato sauce and some cheese. When we went to pay, they told us they did not accept cards. I don't understand how this place has 4 stars! Tasty food, friendly service, reasonably priced!

Reading a lot of bad reviews but we visited this place last night and it was great! Pasta was lovely I had the gnocchi and my partner the rigatoni. The cake was great too, reasonably priced and large serving. We also had the rosemary and garlic bread started which was so good! Haven't tried the pizzas but the sound very nice would recommend. read more
