Tris di Montanare: Three pieces of fried dough with three different tomatoes; Piennolo di Vesuvio, San Marzano filets, Corbarino. All the tomatoes were excellent, but the Corbarinos wrinkled my brain.
PIZZAS:
OSHIRASE: fior di latte, soy-marinated beef fillet with Oriental spices, green pepper sauce, EVOO. Our daughter ordered this as she has an affinity for all Asian food. As it turned out, she did not care for it, but my wife and I enjoyed it very much!
COSACCA: Corbara cherry tomatoes, pecorino bagnolese, Rosciola di Koine EVOO, basil. This reminded my of the first time I had this pizza at Da Michele eight years ago, but this was better. The combination of the natural sweetness of the Corbarino tomatoes and the best pecorino cheese I ever had will haunt me for years to come.
NONNA ROSA: Fior di latte, meatballs, ragu tomato sauce, cold ricotta cream, basil, EVOO. We ordered this wanting to get a meat-forward pizza. The meatballs were tiny and overall the pizza was extremely wet and soupy. It was very difficult to eat.
