I am…read morethrilled to begin my classes with a not-so exciting experience with customer service at Michael's. Yesterday after 3pm I had to return the items in my cart and leave as it was the last straw here. Normally nobody is around to help but it didn't seem to bother me in the past here. There was nobody on the floor to assist me. There were three employees at the frame area, chatting about how they couldn't wait to leave their shifts while one older lady was showing people in line which self service to use. The older lady seemed as if she were the only employee to care about her job. One employee was behind the returns counter / cashier counter to the far right. I asked the employee for help with finding approximately 20 items on my list. The young employee clearly showed little interest, she scanned my list and told me I need acrylic paint and walked me to a locked cabinet. Each paint was $16-$28 for a tiny tube. I am visually impaired so I asked if that was the price and she said "yea, we are after all a chain store" she walked away leaving the cabinet locked where I was not able to access the paints, I could not ask further questions or seek help with my other items. A customer beside me asked if she could have help where the employee told her she was busy with another customer and walked away from us. The other customer and I looked at each other in amazement and we both chose to leave the store. I went to another arts store where they were knowledgeable and friendly, they informed me the paint on my list was oil based, not acrylic paint. Terrible work ethic and an unfortunately unpleasant experience. Never again...

very happy to have this wonderful establishment, closer to home,…read more i often and frequently had to run to the dixie mall location, which dealing with traffic and construction is SO much fun right? this brand new location, is very well stocked, very clean(brand new) and very bright. the staff are very cheery, knowledgeable, and eager to lend a hand. my most positive experience comes from shopping at this location, and im not afraid to say it. my only complaint is the parking lot, because this used to be the site of an old factory, someone decided to not connect this store, and the others connected to micheals, and connect the parking lots with the sail and other stores...feels like your going in circles. come and check out one of the newer locations, for a awesome experience. and remember to find a coupon online to save a couple of bucks...it helps out in the long run

This has got to be one of the coolest stores I've visited in Toronto!…read more I dropped in to pick up some EVA foam and other Cosplay supply for the fam and this place just blew my mind. The selections of everything you could possibly want from clay, paint, glue...etc to get creative is all here. Woohoo~ The super helpful gentleman behind the counter was more than happy to let me snap some photos to share with my cosplay-enthusiast family and we're planning on going back to check out other supplies.

They have great collection of…read moreballoons, cutlery, party decorations, costumes, etc. There was a situation in lockdown, that I had to buy some helium-filled balloons last minute. We had to place our order through their website at least 24 hours prior to our pickup date and only show up for curbside pickup. I called them and the accommodated my purchase. I am very thankful of the friendly and helpful staff because they literally saved me!
