I have been coming here for a few years now. I have long haired Belgian Shepherds and I have found that Amy & Steph are the only ones in the area that truly know how these dogs should be groomed. They are super efficient & my dogs are not there for hours & hours on end. They are the BEST! My dogs are high energy & can be somewhat obnoxious but Amy & Steph take it all in stride. Their hair grows very long in between their grooming but when these ladies are on, my girls look like they're ready for the show ring. The owner here, Amy, is an extremely nasty and unprofessional person. Im not sure how she is even in business with an attitude like hers. It seems as she cannot handle negative feedback or unsatisfied customers ( some people just cannot handle criticism or feedback as it hurts their ego). I have been bringing my dog here to get groomed and will NOT be returning after my conversation with Amy regarding my dog being cut poorly. His ears were cut straight across like a bob cut, choppy, his hair and face were super short to where you can see the pink under his fur. Overall, he does not look good (mind you we had Christmas pictures this week which we will now not be doing) The person who usually groomed my dog called out sick and they did not notify us about this when my sister dropped him off. I personally called them to explain how I would like him groomed (the woman on the phone told me she is just walking in and seemed overwhelmed as there were people already in the shop so this could be where my directions were misinterpreted or communication lines became blurred) I explained that I want him done as usual with the face short. They misinterpreted my request as I wanted his face shorter than usual, however that was not what I said. Mistakes happen, however, it was HOW Amy handled the conversation and spoke to me after that prompted me to leave this review. I requested something be done to make it right for my next grooming since I was not happy with the services. I have been a customer for months and have even referred people here. Amy got on the phone with me already with a nasty tone explaining she isn't giving me a credit back and there was nothing she can do because she did what I asked. She stated "it's hair and it will grow back so I don't know what to tell you" (the nerve) I tried explaining to her that my request was misinterpreted and she told me "well maybe next time you will say what you mean" (excuse me??? this is what prompted me to go off) to which I stated maybe next time I won't bring my dog here because your attitude is extremely rude. We then got disconnected as I was speaking (or so I thought) so I called back and said "think we got disconnected" and she said "no I hung up on you!! Im busy I cannot deal with you or this right now" I'm astounded that this is how she treats and speaks her clients I can't imagine how she treats the pets/employees. As a business owner, if a customer is unhappy there's ways to speak to human beings and to mitigate and handle situations like this. Instead Amy was nasty, defensive and not accommodating whatsoever. If a client is unhappy with the service, I understand there is no full refund, however something could have been done especially that I am always bringing my dog here. Whether it was a small credit or something added to his next grooming. I was not looking for a full refund whatsoever as I understand I still received the service. She could have handled it much more professionally, empathetically, and respectfully expressing her understanding of how I wasn't happy and that she apologizes for the confusion or the communication not being clear BUT there was no accountability and she was condescending and nasty. I cannot even believe the way and tone I was spoken too when I called expressing my thoughts calmly until she tried to go off and have her passive aggressive and demeaning comments. I feel sorry for her employees and hope she treats them better than her customers! read more

First I did bring it up to your receptionist three different times. Once when I was there then I called after I picked her up because it wasn't sitting right with me and then again when she called me to pick my dog up that I already picked up. And ur groomer told me buttercup was not cooperating with the buzzer. Get ur story straight. And ur new receptionist is rude and should learn the tax amounts. Her favorite response to my questions were I don't know. And I didn't lie about you abusing dogs. For years I have struggled to find a groomer that able to handle my very anxious and somewhat difficult cocker spaniel. First off Bailey is 11yrs old and completely blind, he struggles with blow dryers and having his nails clipped and shaven. A friend reccomended that I bring him to this groomer as they also have a doggie that has had issues with previous groomers. Amy the groomer that took Bailey back was very kind and gentle. When I explained Bailey's fears and my concerns that he would be too much. Amy assured me, not to worry and I left, feeling that my baby was in good hands. Usually I get a call 15 minutes after leaving a place with them telling me to come pick Bailey back up as he is too difficult but that did not happen. When I did get a call it was to tell me that Bailey was almost done, that he did great and he would be all ready to go in about 10 minutes. When I picked him up he (of course so happy to see me) very well done. Nice even coat, his paws were trimmed beautifully, nails filed down and he had the cutest little bandana on. I was told that he was welcomed back anytime and the staff was so kind. They all gave my handsome some love before we left. I highly l, highly reccomend this groomer for anyone that wants their fur babies taken care of as if they belonged to the groomers themselves. I came in yesterday so excited for my baby to get groomed and boy was I disappointed. I only heard good things about this place and that's why I decided to bring him while my normal groomer is on vacation. The place is clean I will admit but the customer service is lousy. We came in to pick him up and the woman who brought him out questioned us as if we were abusing him. We can't help it if he likes swimming in the pool and rolling in the mulch. She also complained about him nibbling on the clippers but he is a baby and is losing his teeth. I will not be returning here after the high prices and bad quality. simply put.... this happened for a reason. it was meant for me to be there, that date, that time, that exact situation. so i can warn others as i have here & other places. your response is lies, lies & more lies! in fact there is video of all of what happened on the camera's in your store even though you lied to say the camera's were not working when the police asked to see them. why? cause you knew your entire staff would get arrested! post the video here in it's entirety not just clips and then we will all see that i am telling the absolute truth!!! & also show that it was you & your staff acting as you describe. you only called the police because i told you i was reporting you!! because of what i saw. you were only trying to cover up your actions. but as you saw when the cops arrived they immediately told me to go get my dogs even though you were screeeeaming objections! you were already paid the original price nooooot the jacked up price that i refuuuused to pay & you didn't even groom one of them at all. so you owe me! slickster! you all know this whole situation went astray when iiiiiii told you iiiiii was only going to pay the agreed upon fee and that iiiiiiii was not coming back to you!! now, it's over! leave me alooooone! or we will go to court because i will sue you & your business for defamation. you knooooow what i said is true and the judge will see right through all of your lies and demand the full tape because it doeeeees exist! and toss you in jail for perjury if you fail to comply. also, in the best interest of the pets, i'll notify the aspca, dept of health, sc-aspca, the police, rescue groups etc. so they can make an undercover visit there at which point they will see the fuuuull tape which they all know you do have. i bet when they start fining you & revoking licensure, you'll come up with it quickly. i'll pay for coffee & donuts. you bring bail money for yourself & your staff. i have nothing to lose in doing this to ensure the future well being of pets.....but you..... alot especially when your insurance company sees what a high risk you are for claims being pursued now that the truth about what happens there is out, on video with their own eyes and raise your rates. i can post what i want and thanks to yelp.... there is nothing you can do about it. stop stalking me! and to those reading this.... i hope you have been entertained :-))) & forewarned about this place.do not subject your furkids or yourself to this. there are plenty other places to take them where traumatizing incidences like this do not occur. and lastly, to place for paws..... be smart- leave me alone, i won't respond to you again because this was never about you it is about saving the doggies from harm under your care. p.s. did you hear me & the cops chit chatting & laughing? did you see me & the cops "fist bump" when i left there? that was really cool. ;-)) n eventhough our conversation was ultimately enjoyable, i told them i had to leave them because i was late for my hair appointment. :-)) (more laughter) read more

I would avoid this groomer at all cost. I had a terrible experience there. I was quoted $60 and the bill was $125. The receptionist was not well trained and very young. I blame the owners not the receptionist for poor training. One of the owners was down right nasty, rude and unprofessional the other owner was the complete opposite in being kind and gentle. My major complaint they did a terrible job of grooming my dog. I really am surprised that this place got so many good reviews. I will never take my dog here again. read more
