This is a shopping complex very similar to Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, ON. It's clusters…read moreof stores separated by streets. It's a bit confusing and difficult to find specific stores. There are also 2 roundabouts in this shopping complex which add to the confusion. It has a very suburban feel. I only went to the Marshalls and Crocs, but there are a lot of big box stores, like Toys R Us, Bureau en Gros, JYSK, Homesense, Bouclair, etc. There are banks and drugstores and an SAQ (liquor store). I personally am not a fan of this kind of layout for shopping. You pretty much have to get in your car and drive if you want to go to stores in different "sections" since they are so far apart. Or you could walk but you'll be walking across parking lots and streets, it's not really set up with walkways or sidewalks for pedestrians.

I have nothing against animals / pets etc ... but enough is enough leave your pets at home , we as humans do not need pet germs, hair and dandruff all over the place , keep them at Home ! The mall just goes up and includes shops like Old Navy and Uniqlo. There's Time Out Market, which houses so many eateries and cafeteria-style long tables. Escalators and elevators are everywhere for convenient access. The arcade might be a fun place to pass some time. There's a Canada souvenir shop with lots of red n white!

There are a lot of options for you to go shop at, to go eat at or even watch a movie in Laval's biggest movie theater.... but going there is certainly a pain. The parking, particularly at specific times of the week can be very annoying. There's simply not enough of it. Driving around is a pain as well as the design of the streets forces you to swerve everywhere with no direct straight access points that make you randomly find yourself staring at the end of the parking lot because they decided to break the street off, forcing you to make several detours to get around it to end up where you wanted to be. Lastly, there are a lot of options to go eat at and that certainly can be pretty exciting but honestly the quality of the food that come from, mostly franchises, isn't all that great.

The mall itself has amazing stores and yummy restaurants (Valentine poutine- YUM), is very clean and is the first mall I've been to that has a breastfeeding room! It is just a small stall with a chair in it, with an adjoining room for kids to sit and play. It was nice to see a room for women like myself who have babies they need to take care of without having to be on display to the whole mall (although I bf in public anyway too). I will say though, for any parent with kids who want to try the Virtual Reality, be aware of who is working one of the stations. While we were there, there were two tall men who were very courteous. There was another shorter man working the other station. I am not sure if he is a permanent or seasonal employee, but his actions made us pull our son out of the line, complain and ask for our money back. Our Son is 8. In the 3 minutes he was in line, this man reprimanded him for not looking him in the eyes, said "we just passed Remembrance Day but you want to play a shooting game? Why don't you sign up for the army or military instead" (I didn't want him playing that one but don't OFFER a shooting game then), and when he asked what smash meant, he said "it's what your mommy and daddy used to do". That is when we left. It was COMPLETELY inappropriate. So, parents, just be careful. I'm glad our Son isn't old enough to understand what the man meant. Other than that one experience, we've had amazing times at this mall and we enjoy going.

Centre Laval looks and feels like an old shopping mall that has undergone a few renovations in…read moreattempts to modernize. It's definitely less glamourous than Carrefour Laval and less busy. I liked that it had lots of independent stores and not just chains. That being said, most of the stores were not really my style (i.e. cheaply made clothes, costume jewelry, gift items, etc.), but it was still fun to walk around a mall I had never been to before, even though I walked away empty-handed. There was this one store called Vase Caravan and it was such an unusual little store. It had lots of Buddha statues and also lots of Jesus statues for sale! They also sold instant noodles. It was a really weird and random kind of store. I secretly like weird though, lol. The anchor stores are The Bay, The Brick, Bureau en Gros (aka Staples), Best Buy and Ares. The food court is pretty small, but there's a pretty fish aquarium at the centre. There's also a Chinese buffet (Buffet Fu Lam) in the mall. This mall has free WiFi and you don't have to log on through Facebook or Twitter or give them your email address (like some places). Definitely not a destination shopping mall, but not too bad.
