Went yesterday for family of 3 to get a booster shot. Our son previously had two doses at cvs, my husbandhad his dose as wellat cvs. Insurance cards were not required nor social security number. I had my insurance card but at first was told I would need my medicare card in order to get vaccinated. I said i would call in my sons ss number that his card was at home. Nope.None of these things were required before. My husband had to take off a half day to get to these appointments. It was really ridiculous. I thought these shots were free and the government is encouraging the public to get them. So I made appointments for them elsewhere. I wasn't expecting to have to jump through hoops to get a booster. FYI, I saw someone go to the pharmacy window without a mask. Wouldn't you think that it would be required at a place for SICK people And I got a response for my review on Google (won't let me edit it so I'll respond in this review). I was not required to provide a ss number at cvs for the original vaccine so why would I think I need to have it for a booster?? I wasn't looking for anything free. I actually wanted to patronize a smaller place and not a national chain. Having the owner respond and NOT take ANY accountability says a lot. Very knowledgeable staff. Everyone is always so friendly. I was visiting my father in Jersey and He needed his medication refilled, My dads meds were ready ahead of time. Yousry noticed I was buying him supplements with nitrates in them. He warned me that they could interfere with his meds. I love this place. This pharmacy is a waste of your time and has a serious attitude problem. I dropped off a prescription to get filled, and the pharmacist said he would call back with the price. I waited 5 days, no response, so I called back. The pharmacist says "oh I decided that it's not worth my time to fill your prescription, I have to make 100 pills". Tldr:no call back to leave you hanging and have a serious attitude problem. What's the point of being a pharmacy if you aren't going to fill prescriptions? Now I have to drive all the way back to get my prescription slip. read more

We started using Plainsboro Pharmacy as our primary pharmacist after being driven to madness by the deeply incompetent CVS pharmacy across the street. (If you don't have personal experience with that horrendous CVS pharmacy, read reviews before you make the mistake of going there...) Do yourself the favor of using this small pharmacy for any and all prescriptions. The people here care about you. They are organized, efficient and also don't act like robots (unlike the CVS) - they use their brains and their knowledge to actually look at and process your prescription. I think when it comes to everyday management, every business is defined by two things: how they handle their basic flow, and how they handle exceptions. Plainsboro Pharmacy is great at both. If all goes well, they get your prescription together efficiently and accurately. If something goes wrong, they're incredibly proactive. They often catch it themselves. They call you, or call your doctor or contact your insurance. They listen to what you're saying and help you get what you need. They come up with solutions. You really feel like they are on your side, and trust that they will use their knowledge to do right by you. I still go to CVS for front store products like lotion and band aids - a small business simply can't compete on selection or price for stuff like that. We went there because the CVS nearby had some computer issues. Pros: The pharmacist was extremely customer-oriented and had our prescription ready very fast. There was no queue to be served. It was easy and free to park. Cons: The opening hours are shorter than at CVS, the prices are higher, you don't have the convenience to get milk on the way out. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for years. Recently one of my prescriptions was not covered by my insurance. They called offere me the lowest price available plus free delivery to my house. Yay! Great local spot that serves the neighborhood with more personable service than you get from the chain in the neighborhood. The staff here truly look after you. I've lived in the neighbourhood for four years and I always check there first before checking other places. My doctor recommended I get a certain type of sprain support for my wrist and they whipped out all these books with literally every brand available on the market that they offered to order for me. They have since gone out there way to acquire it for me through their supplier. The best way I can describe this place is SERVICE! Actually being a person interacting with other people who love their job and are so knowledgeable about everything they stock is rare today. Whereas I used to equate going to pharmacies like CVS/Walgreens with being at the DMV, where as a consumer I would be treated as if they were doing me a favor, Plainsboro Pharmacy's personable and rapid service--not to mention always having medication in stock-- renders going to any other pharmacy to be not an option. In fact, despite living near 4-5 CVS/Walgreens within 5 minutes since moving, I still drive further due to excellent customer service and respect with which I am consistently met with. read more

The first time I went in here it was because CVS was out of my prescription and I needed it right away... they informed me that plainsboro pharmacy right across the street still had some in stock last they heard. The moment I stepped in there I was helped by the pharmacist/owner, it turns out that my insurance needed prior authorization from my dr (which is a problem I've run into frequently with my medication), so I ended up having to pay full price. WOAH! they were at leas $100 cheaper than CVS when I had to pay full price over there!!! The pharmacist had my script ready in about 2 minutes after having to call my health insurance, and he even gave me the number that my dr should call to have prior authorization. This service and pricing was a thousand times better than I have ever experienced at any CVS. From that point on, I never looked back and I will continue using Plaisboro Pharmacy as long as I live nearby!!! Futhermore, the second time I went in there (about a month later) the owner saw my face and remembered my name right away! They are the best! I'd highly reccommend that anyone try them out and they wont regret it! read more

I stopped by tbis pharmacy becayse uts close,to where I work and a co-worker recommended it. I had recently sprained my ankle and was having trouble adjusting to crutches which was killing my arms. The service was fantastic. I was offered many options including renting a knee scooter for $10/day. I wound up buying a boot which was reasonably priced and I was,able to try it on and test it in the,store. I really liked the fact that they had things I wasn't even aware could help me (like a 1 pound cane chair). I rarely have prescriptions but I'd definitely come back if I ever needed help with therapeutic advice. read more

My wife encouraged me to try the Plainsboro Pharmacy instead of CVS because they offer free delivery of prescriptions and I might be the laziest man alive. I've only used the delivery service once, but it was awesome. I've had a bone marrow stem cell transplant and am constantly rotating on new and different drugs to keep from rejecting. I have to say that the pharmacists in there have been extremely helpful and kind. When my doctor phones in prescriptions, they are kind enough to call me to ask if I want the meds delivered or if I want to pick them up. They even keep my FSA Debit card on file to make every transaction as simple as possible. Definitely a better feeling than going to the big corporate pharmacies. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the pharmacist is an ACTUAL pharmacist and can compound prescriptions if need be. He is NOT just a pill counter! Bad experience with the owner of the Pharmacy Mr Yousry Macksoud. Very bad costumer service. I had two prescriptions, one pain killer and the other an antibiotic. The Doctor who gave me the prescriptions forget to fill a lot of information like the date,his name,my address and hid signature was a squiggly line. Mr Macksoud snap and start to grumble and hititing the counter with his fist while he was calling to my Doctor then he hang up smashing the telephone. Finally he don't take my prescriptions and i walk away .Mr Macksoud didn't say nothing directly to me but his atttitud and his costumer service was inappropiate. Then i went to CVS across street and they find the same issue but was treated with cordiality and comprehension and in the end i got my medications. read more
