They will always try to charge you extra for any service, like posting small letters as large letters or trying to add a 'sign for' for a regular birthday card! Each visit is like this with most recent saying scanners don't work. Right 30 minutes until closing with people in the queue. Just say we can't accept more people as closing in 30 minutes don't lie. No one from management really cares and won't read this but those that do don't expect service of any level and they apparently need more than 30 minutes to work a queue of 5 people. The people that work there are generally co-operative and friendly and always smile. There is also a photo shop there where you can take pictures with a chosen background and get them developed at a price. There is also an area to buy mobile phones and you can also get your oyster topped up here. The shop is also a convenient store so you can buy your household items here also and food and drink. They also sell cards and gifts and toys for little children.

I received this return AFTER sending another item to Dubai using the same service. This time costing me £18.10. I'm now in a queue waiting to speak to the Post Office Help Line. Having spoken to the Help Line I was told that only PO Box number items can be sent to Dubai and so my package has NEVER LEFT THE UK! hence the one star!!! I'm now going back to the Canary Wharf branch to see if I can stop the second ITEM!!! The Acting Manager kindly opened the bags and retrieved the item I'd posted earlier and gave me a full refund for the item. I now need to learn from Royal Mail HOW I can send mail to a customer in Dubai if they don't have a PO BOX! Stars amended to FOUR!

Now once or twice and this would've been ok but I've seen it now everytime I've gone in. I've tried at 9am (less busy but people had been queuing for 20 minutes), 1pm and 3pm and still no better. The staff CAN be helpful until you need forms filling in then they're about as helpful as an ice cube in hell! I've made sure any companies I deal with now can be done via direct debit or direct in branch as I vowed never to go back there.

Or something like that. What I am saying, is that the staff are able to accommodate for the busy nature of the place. When it's busy they have about 5 staff members, which is not always the case at other post offices. The staff are actually pretty nice as well. I went in there to send a rather large package to Australia, and the lady was not even angry with my about the fact that I hadn't yet written the address because I was unsure of where to put it. It is the small things that separate the post offices in terms of quality.

I also provided proof of ID and address and he still didn't give me a new Oyster card despite showing more proof than I was supposed to. He accused me of not saying the truth and that I'm not eligible for it. How can that be the case when I have it stamped and signed? I also showed him more proof than I was supposed to. He made me go through so much stress just to get a new Oyster card and I never had to do all this. None of the previous employees ever asked for my bank statement because my ID and form is enough. but this guy made me get my bank statement and on top started looking at my personal things (my outgoing and incoming) The audacity. He kept saying I need to show proof I live in London? How can I not live in London if I literally showed my ID and bank statement? Obviously I got irritated and told him that he isn't doing his job properly and I kept explaining that I'm showing proof of everything but he still said no. He was telling me to provide more than I was supposed to. (He then told me to show a council tax letter to prove I live in London) nowhere does it say I need to provide that to get a discount Oyster card. He was being complicated on purpose. He must get a pay rise for it to be behaving like this. Later, I went to another post office and they gave me a new Oyster card within seconds, they asked no questions and they didn't even ask for my bank statement because it's not needed like this man claims. so after that I went back and showed him that "look you accused me of "lying" so how comes another post office gave it to me" he didn't have no answer he kept saying "I don't know" but still owed me no apology because he couldn't admit he was in the wrong. How are they employing someone like this?

A kind human pointed us to this location which we actually walked by on more than one occasion, it's easy to miss as it's on the lower level of the building. Once you walk in follow the signs on the floor to the stairs down. At the post office you're able to go to the counter or self-service station for quick service. There are some speciality sets in a display case that you can go to the counter to buy. Employees were kind and we were in and out quickly. If you are a tourist mail yourself a card or two just be sure to get the right postage!

There are two service windows here, and the counter staff are very friendly and helpful. I think the longest I have ever had to wait for service is about two minutes. Unfortunately because this isn't a main post office you can't get certain services here, like renewing car tax for example, but I find it extremely handy for most common transactions. The post office is at the back of a shop, so you can also buy your envelopes, cards and wrapping paper here too as well as groceries.

The post office shares the space with a newsagent which does all the usuals - good selection of mags and newspapers - in addition they will take passport photos for you here for a fiver. Some of the postmen staff do their job fine too. I have never had any problems when I have come to collect my items. They sell lots of stationery in the Post Office, a lot more than you would find in other Post Offices, so I have found it handy if I need any last minute writing pads!

If you're lucky you only have to queue up for ten minutes but generally if you go at a convenient time (lunch time or after work) you're looking at a queue that goes out of the door and a wait of at least half an hour. When you finally get to the counter you may be lucky enough to get a friendly face and helpful person but you're just as likely to get someone surly and unhelpful. If you're just getting stamps then there is a seperate place to buy them and there is also a seperate queue if you want something travel related. It's not a bad post office when you consider how many people go in there every day but if I have a choice of going to that one or another one I will generally pick another one.

The thing that sets this post office apart from every other I have been to is the family who own it. They actually make visiting a pleasure rather than a chore. They are always happy and smiling, joking with the customers and generally creating a lovely friendly atmosphere. They also go out of their way to be helpful. I visited last week during their lunch hour closing with an unusual insurance transaction. They opened the post office just for me to deal with my request so I didn't need to come back. Went to Kensington High street Post office to renew our expired passport today 10am 10/07/24. We were served by a gentileman (name Badge was Harinder). Harinder considered our age and explained the cons and pros of the application system and chose the safest system to apply and receive. He was very knowledeable in that field. He also advised us not to travel with out a travel insurance, and to my wife about a life insurance for six pounds. We were very happy with the service. Now a days Super market to Hospitals are considering people as consumers. This gentleman treated us as a friend advised for our welfare. Thank you Harinder.

It's spacious, clean and bright, with a reasonably sized sales area selling stationery items - the queue goes through it, so you can browse while you are waiting. Service is pretty reasonable - the queues here don't seem too bad, and move fairly quickly, and the staff are generally friendly. Christmas is the exception though, when you may have to wait 15 minutes. It's always better first thing in the morning. Services include everything you'd expect from a large branch - Royal Mail, Licences, Bureau de Change, Insurance and various other offers from the Post Office (though these are mostly available online too). There's a bus stop just outside with a wide range of services.
