On the other hand, I bought a Torque TQ3 amd the salesman suggested I take the extended warrranty for a weight system with just pulleys? You're kidding me! I also bought a bike Proteus V8. Since there was a lot of moving parts I tought it would be a great thing to get the extended warranty so I took the 5 years. What the salesman forgot to mention is that the bike was at the end of his lifecycle. Everything went well but when I needed to replace the bearings that's when the problems started. I called Fitness Depot to get a repair, after a 2 weeks, still no news, call back Fitness Depot, they give me the direct number of the third party that does the repairs (yeah, it's not someone from Fitness Depot). I finally call them, they send someone, the guy troubleshoots the problem being the bearings needing to be replaced so he will place an order and when they get the part, they'll call me back to take an appointment to finish the job. I'm not in a particular hurry since this is summer and I mostly cycle outdoor. A couple of weeks passes, I call back they say that they don't know what happened and they'll place another order since they don't have the part. A couple of weeks passes again, still no news. The person on the phone says she will inquire to fitness depot heardquarters since they're the ones ordering the parts, the third party company just do the service. Again, a couple of weeks passes, I call back, same song again about contacting the fitness depot headquarters. 4 days passes I call back, now they can't find my file, the person puts me on hold without even telling me so I'm waiting like a clown on the phone for 10 minutes to finally hand up. I call the fitness depot where I bought the bike, the guy is in a hurry and can't really talk to me but I'm able to get something out of him. He suspects that the parts for my bike aren't made anymore. I'm asking why since I don't own the bike for more than 5 years (warranty length) and he told me the bike started to sell 10 years ago!!!! The guy is very polite and says he'll call me back when he get more details. Since my bad experience with the third party service company, I ask him when I should expect a call from him and he says confidently during the day. I also ask him what happens with my warranty if you can't even get your hands on parts for my bike? He says fitness depot reimburse the remaining warranty time. Which in my case was about 4 months so they would owe me like 15$. Nevertheless, the fitness depot guy never called back and getting there would almost cost me that 15$ in gas so I left it that way and I just wanted to warn people buying at Fitness Depot. All in all, that warranty nightmare started in February 2012 and just ended yesterday (August 31st 2012) because I decided to let go. Final words, if you need to buy gym equipment that can't break like weights, that's the place to go but if you need to buy something that moves and might break, go anywhere else!!!! Update 2012-09-14 Someone finally contacted me to take an appointment to get my bike fixed, the problem is now solved, they didn't charge the usual gas overfee. I'm finally a happy customer but it took over 7 months and A LOT of patience to get there.

I almost gave up but my fingers were numb, so I tried the last store in the "Time Out Mall" @ Decathlon; in Montreal. I bought (3) different types of winter gloves which totaled $93 , (1) Wedze, (2) Forclaz, I was happy w/ my purchases. I walked around & found lots of sports items too @ Decathlon. It's now my Goto spot. So, look no further this is the 1 stop shop so many choices. I recommend this store.

I'm always satisfied when I go here but I will say that when you're looking for a specific clothing item or a shoe, employees are hard to find and they don't always have the best or any advice. They only have one employee per section regardless of the number of customers. So the wait times are pretty long. They also have very low stock so sometimes you'll get lucky and get what you were looking for specifically but sometimes you won't. They do have some great discounts though and nice overall products.
