    tofu scramble

I won't lie - there were a few times where I had to stop and ask myself "is this really vegan?" and it really was! My mom (omnivore) and I stopped here for breakfast one morning. I got the tofu scramble and refried beans with tortillas. The tortillas were fresh and warm and delicious, but those beans stole the show. They were so flavorful (read that in italics for emphasis). My mom got an omelette which was also served with the beans. The texture of that omelette was incredible and the whole thing had so much savory goodness packed into it. She "wasn't hungry" but somehow ate the entire thing. We don't speak Spanish and they didn't really speak English so they asked the manager from the sister restaurant to come over and translate. Our fault for not learning more of the language! But they were attentive and the food was awesome. I want to come back and try the rest of that menu, especially for lunch and dinner. Go and you won't regret it!

This place had a wide variety of dishes. Vegan friendly. Our server was very helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We enjoyed all different types of foods here. The pizzas were my favorite here. Great outdoor seating!

Super cute cafe in Condesa. I came for breakfast on a Easter morning and was the only one there. My Spanish isn't great (or even decent) but all the ladies working were incredibly nice and helpful. I had a really good vegan omelette and a coconut milk cappuccino and it was a great start to my day!

The food is alright, but massively overpriced and lacking flavour depth. We stopped in for dinner and were greeted by a very friendly, English-speaking server. I ordered the lentil soup (110 pesos) to start -- pretty tasty, but overpriced given what you get. My wife & I also shared the huitlacoche dumplings (150 pesos), which comes with 4 dumplings filled with a sort of corn-like filling and topped with a peanuty sauce -- tasty, but a rip-off for 4 pieces. For our mains, I got the protein bowl (280 pesos) and added some chickpea chorizon (25 pesos). Fairly boring but healthy bowl. Nothing really stood out. The tofu was not plentiful enough, nor prepared all that well. Satisyfing enough, but again, overpriced. My wife got the Enfrijoladas (265 pesos), a dish with pink tortillas filled with plantains, coconut cheese and almonds, all sitting in a black bean sauce. The tastes I had were pretty solid, but lacked flavour depth and needed some spices to amp it up. All in all, not worth the hype, especially if you're looking for authentic vegan Mexican. There are many other places worth prioritizing in town.

My mom is vegan, and I'm not (technically, I'm a very lapsed vegan), but this menu was one that I was excited to try, too! We shared the al pastor and pineapple dumplings (4 steamed dumplings filled with mushrooms and roasted pineapple puree, served over green salsa and ponzu), which were great. (It was hard to choose between these dumplings and the huitlacoche dumplings!) We also shared the crunchy cucumber salad (with fresh radish, sesame, lime, mint, and guajillo), which was simple and refreshing. Then we had to try some of their tacos - served on their famous pink tortillas. We tried three of their tacos, but the pastor de setas (organic mushrooms al pastor, pineapple, and spring onions) was our hands down favorite. They're an alcohol-free restaurant, but I enjoyed my tepache (fermented pineapple drink with piloncillo), to which I added a hibiscus chamoy rim). They offer other fun N/A drinks: amaranth horchata, hibiscus water, and more. The service was great, and the restaurant was cool - open air, great on a warm day, bright, comfortable. Of all the vegan restaurants we tried in Mexico City, I think La Pitahaya was my favorite. The food was great, and our meal was fun. I'd happily return.

I can't overstate how much we loved this place! I went to Mexico City with my vegan husband…read morerecently and was so pleasantly surprised with just how many vegan options there were within the city. I am not vegan, so I normally search for a place that has both but this place was so close to our hotel, it was hard to resist. Genuinely- I was blown away, even as an omnivore. Everything was really affordable and quick and I managed to snap a pic of the tacos I ordered, even though my husband devoured his torta before I could document it. We came back for lunch the next day. It's relatively small, but there is seating inside and outside and it is pretty fast, so spots open up quick. If you are vegan or with a vegan- don't miss out on this spot!

We tried the vegan milanesa, al pastor, and suadero tacos, which come with onion and cilantro; and guacamole with chips. When we first arrived we were seated right away. The food came out fairly decently, but all at different times. There is some indoor and outdoor seating, but neither space is very big. The service was a little mixed; one waitress seemed to initially have a negative attitude, but then later was fine; the other waitress who helped us was more friendly; I'll chalk it up to the fact that it was a Sunday night one hour before closing. The food itself tasted good, but nothing out of this world. This place has a punk rock vibe. Overall, I would potentially come back.
