The yoga studio is pretty small. There were about 10 students and we were all pretty close together. The wasabi restaurant and the Rathskeller downstairs sometimes make distracting noises. Location is scary to access in the dark, as it's on Michigan St. parking is kind of challenging. Teachers are great and offer help with your practice when the class size is smaller, and have offered to help before and after class . Studio gets hot for the hot yoga classes,'but nowhere near as hot as better insulated facilities. There are showers and a locker room, and downtown location is very convenient!! Super affordable classes, great workout and experience, and even the other students are nice.

The most noticeable impact at this time is that this course has inspired me towards being a greater leader and provided many tangible and applicable ways in which to do this. Prior to meeting Michael the only emotions that I was capable of experiencing were happiness,…read morecontentedness, and anger. I was happy when I was running, I was angry when asked to drop what I was doing to help others or to talk on the phone with my girlfriend, and the feeling of being content with life filled the rest of the gaps. I never questioned why I felt those ways; I simply accepted it as the truth. I assumed everyone felt the same way I did. I never once considered that those could be secondary emotions, protective emotions, hiding the deeper concepts that were at the time beyond my grasp. Michael helped me find those deeper concepts, and in turn, my primary emotions. I have lost countless significant others and close friends throughout my life, I was never close to my father, and I was not being nearly as open and emotionally connected with my current girlfriend as I wanted to be, to name a few of my life complications. You would think that I would have eventually assumed that I was the issue seeing as how I was the one consistent factor in all of those scenarios. However, my ego always got in the way and the walls that I had set up to protect myself made it easier and more natural to point the blame at everyone else. Michael helped me explore those secondary emotions that were consuming my life. Some of those experiences brought us way back to my childhood, but that allowed for me to find the root cause to my walls that were set up. More importantly it allowed for me to then tear down those walls and accept responsibility, it helped me become a better person. It helped me become a better me. The change was immediate within my life, and I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I love myself. People close to me have told me consistently that I seem like a new man. They say I seem more sure of myself, more confident, and that is easily the truth. I will say that I was extremely hesitant to try coaching with Michael at first. The whole coaching concept seemed like a façade to me. Also, my ego told me that I did not need help. What made me initiate the coaching with Michael and Nicole was a combination of knowing that they are phenomenal people who only wanted to try to help someone in need mixed with the realization that I had nothing to lose. Coaching made me become way more confident with every aspect of my life, allowed me to tear down barriers, and accept responsibility for the results in my life even outside of physical therapy. It helped me become a better person. It helped me become a better me. The change was immediate within my life, and I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I love myself. What I enjoyed most about that experience was not even the results that came from it, but the sense of knowing that Michael was doing these things for me because of how invested in me he was. I could tell that he cared for me as a person and that I was not simply another number to him. I felt beyond valued, and that allowed for me to be very open with him and speak my mind. It has the perfect variety of equipment and they utilize the space they have exceptionally well, as compared to the several other Anytime facilities I've been to. While the actual facility is great, it would be nothing without the amazing staff. Lori, the manager, is an absolute angel and a great encourager. Caleb, well... I'm not quite sure what his title is, but don't let him fool you, he works exceptionally hard and the place would not function half as well if it weren't for him. The training staff is phenomenal, to say the very least. Scott, specifically, is by far my favorite part of Anytime. My previous trainer went to pursue other opportunities and had to leave Anytime, which left me feeling extremely uncertain about the future of my fitness journey. Not long after, I started working out with Scott and he was able to calm my concerns with great ease; he's incredibly patient. Our workouts are intense and we use every possible minute, which is exactly what I want. Together we figured out what my goals should be and I recently reached one of them, 2 months ahead of our schedule. Training with Scott is more often than not the highlight of my week and he's quickly turned into one of my favorite people! All of this said, any gym is what YOU make it, so please don't let a great gym like this one turn into one of those where you pay your monthly fee but choose to never actually go.

After reading the reviews regarding the gym and how responsive and engaged the owner was, I figured it would work. I sent an email with a few questions that was replied to within an hour. I went through the brief online registration process and Griffin set up my activated key fob to be left in a lockbox as I would be arriving after staffed hours. After using this gym for the past few days, I've realized it's the perfect balance between a hardcore gym where weights are being tossed around left and right, and a PF where you are very limited. The place is spotlessly clean, has a great selection of modern equipment, and the owner Griffin clearly understands that customer service/experience is key. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
