A visitor center on the history is a good place to start - takes only 15-20 minutes. Then much of the rest is trails both dirt and boardwalk - overlooking the river, in canyons, or just through rolling terrain in the woods. I'd recommend doing the 80-stair climb to Starved Rock. Then if you handle that fine, you can do a loop where you follow the signs on trails to Wildcat Canyon where you can go down the steps into the canyon - then take the river trail back - which both runs along the river at river level and on bluffs many feet above it with overlooks. We did this "loop" and it took us 2.5 hours for just shy of 3 miles with stops to enjoy, take in the views, and take pictures. But, there are quite a few different options.

They actually care not only about teaching students punches and kicks, but about their whole success in life both in and out of the dojo. That is something that you just can't buy elsewhere. Not to mention the amount of training you can get for the money is worth significantly more than what the monthly fees are. There is always someone willing to offer additional help if you have difficulty or help mentor you through the martial arts. I struggle to express the value of this establishment. It's off the charts! I can not recommend Dojo Dynamics enough.

It was very busy, and finding parking was difficult, which made the experience more stressful before even getting started. I think it would be a much better experience during a less busy time when you can take your time exploring and enjoy the scenery without the crowds. Overall: 3 stars. Beautiful scenery and a great outdoor destination, but the crowds and parking situation took away from the overall experience.

There website had no time slots showing but I called and they answered and said they have availability for the day I was hoping for. Great customer service from the moment they answered the phone to the moment we stepped off of the property. Well organized and such a fun time. Very well worth it and would definitely be coming back!! My boyfriend was completely mortified and scared to get on the horse and asked a million and one questions and every single staff was reassuring but also honest. He rode the horse with confidence because of the staff training and attentiveness. He would definitely come back and said he was the most amazing thing he's done his whole life. Every single animal on the ranch is also well taken care off and amazingly well manners, from the dogs to the random Turkey on site. Every single one was gentle and sweet. They also take pictures of you throughout the trail and provide you FREE of charge by texting them to you. HOW CONVENIENT!!! And the pictures are SOOOO GOOD! This also happened to be my step-son's birthday and they were wonderful and sweet enough to give him a horse shoe for good luck after the ride it was so unexpected and he completely was so excited. From a teenager being excited to ride horses and receive a horseshoe this says a lot!!

The lazy river was shallow enough for our tall almost 4 year old to touch the bottom and they had fun there as well. The slide was a little bit of a let down as you have to be 48 inches to use and they won't let a smaller child go down without a parent. We mistakenly thought it was 42 inches and they let our little one go a few times before someone stopped us and said actually they aren't tall enough. I think the park is mostly best for much younger children, and older ones might find it a little boring because it is somewhat small. Overall though we did have a fun time and would come again.
