Great location! The staff were extremely inviting and friendly as well as the other guests... it's very clean and a separate area for stretch and yoga with multiple size mats. Bathrooms were really clean as well as the showers. They were a decent size but they do have curtain instead of doors... no biggie! I loved that they had a scale and a trash and paper towels in this location which I never seen at any other locations. Machines were not the updated ones but they also didn't feel cheap while working out. If you're a truck driver, the parking lot does not allow semi's (which has nothing to do with PF) but other than that, if you've been following my planet fitness reviews, you can guess what's coming next... CELSIUS sold here also lol. Great reflection on management here. read more

I joined at this location 3 years ago. I signed up as a black card member mainly for the tanning beds, it is all I go for. I would like to start using the machines but I need a workout partner, I'm not a fan of working out by myself so I just tan and hydro massage. Staff is great, never had a problem. I would love it better if showers were laid out differently but thats a PF issue not a locational issue. Former manager Joel was great. Current manager Zach is great. Tanning beds need new bulbs sooo bad. Clemmons tanning beds are amazinggggg. Tanning in Salisbury is a waste of time .

Been going to PF's for many years. Joined Salisbury NC PF when it opened. Used to be great under Joel. Under new management, it stinks. Zack and a few others are great but the rest of the staff could care less. The music is played louder than any PF I've been to. And I have been to many: 2 in Charlotte, 3 in Greensboro, others in Lexington, Winston-Salem and Wilmington. In none of the others do you have to turn your earphones up to sonic levels just to hear a podcase. NOT SO in Salisbury. The music is so loud that with my earphones full tilt, the outside music is still overwhelming. I've asked several of the staff members about this. Zach has been good enough to turn it down a wee bit. Others have said, "We aren't allowed to touch the volume," which simply isn't true, because just last Saturday, the ladies behind the desk had it down to a reasonable level. What is insane, is that 95% of the customers are wearing earbuds or headphones. Why have the overhead speakers so loud that one has to ruin one's hearing just to appreciate what's on his or her music device. IN any event, I'm now trying to work my schedule where I can work out at other locations. My advice to you is join one of the other clubs if possible, because this problem isn't going away during the current management. read more

This location is wonderful from the management, staff and facility all as a whole. Very clean and they have a strong cleaning regimen. Face masks and social distancing are required. Hand sanitizer is in numerous locations including entry. The company and staff truly care about their clients. read more

This facility is great! Its always clean (even the bathrooms) and the staff are always friendly. It is a rather large gym with lots of equipment. I never have to wait in line. No matter how many shoes I tried I have had some issues with my feet hurting when I run on the cardio machines however I still need the cardio. Fortunately they have a wide range of cardio machines so I have found they have one that I can use that doesn't hurt my feet. The price is the best part. It is so affordable and the place is so accessible its hard not to love this gym. Even with the upgraded members card which includes tanning and hydro massage chairs I am still paying less than I would at most other gyms. My membership even allows me to go to any Planet Fitness location which is also convenient. They don't make you sign a contract and I can cancel anytime. But thats not happening any time soon. My only request would be that their big clocks on the wall had a seconds hand as I think that would be super helpful for timing my workout and weight lifting. I would also suggest bringing your own music as their cheesy playlist stereo can be pretty obnoxious sometimes. But maybe thats just my preference. read more

This is a really nice facility. Staff always friendly and helpful. For example, I left a jacket there the other day by accident. It was my daughters Coast Guard jacket and it means alot to me. I went by to find it, it was not there-they started looking. In a few minutes I was called and they met me at the door with it. Thanks just the kind of service I've always had. When I heard that Planet Fitness was coming to town I Immediately planned on leaving my current gym membership & I couldn't have made a better decision. I've visited a few Planet Fitness locations in Charlotte and I enjoyed them. But I feel like the Salisbury location surpasses those in the Queen City! This location is huge and it is very active at all times! The staff and trainers are awesome. At other locations I never saw classes but this location has classes pretty much all day after the different fitness areas. I tried one and now I know where i'm going once I finish my boot camp. They are really good and they encourage everyone to support each other which leads to a great workout atmosphere. As jam packed as it looks when you pull up, I've never had to wait on a machine, that's how big it is. They also maintenance the equipment well. I've been late night a few times and have seen someone going around checking the machines and making sure they work correctly. The locker rooms are also kept clean. And you can't beat the prices. For $10 a month I get unlimited access to the gym with the exception of the Massage Chair which I don't need. They did have a few incidents with cars getting robbed in the parking lot, but that's not their fault as it could happen anywhere. Just make sure when you go into any building, you put your valuables away from plain view. Then go inside to enjoy this vibrant Planet Fitness location! read more

I'm not sure why it takes so long to fix the broken machines, but you can expect it to be over a month for your favorite machine to be out of order. It may be the do-nothing owner or the lazy repair person. Each will blame the other, but it's really both that are lazy and a bit slow. They clean every night, but cleaning during the day is spotty at best. Plus a lot of patrons do not know about hand washing after a restroom visit, or not wiping the machines and equipment. Treat the machines as if they have several layers of fecal matter and wipe them before and after you use them. Get a flu shot to protect yourself. Watch the nose pickers too. *** The PF comment below is crap. It is a standard answer given to every problem. Yes the manager knows, he would have to be brain dead by now not to. Crap stock answer. We joined about 3 months ago. Service for us has been nothing but crap. When we signed up nobody showed us around. I signed up in store I had nobody there walking me through the process of filling out forms. Second evening we were there we were told that we could not use tanning beds or hydro beds after 9:00 (this location closed @10:00). The manger on duty at the time was very cocky and rude (not a way you want to be treated if your paying for a membership). Our vehicle was broken into we have not heard one form of apology from staff or management (not that it is there fault would have still been nice to hear an apology). We were hit for a $39 fee we had no clue what it was (once again nobody mentioned to us that there was a annual fee). Why would an annual fee hit 2 months after you've been there is my question. Called to speak with customer service and she was of no help at all, told her everything that had happened and not a single apology came out her mouth until I had to mention it. We will most DEFINITELY be canceling our membership and NEVER recommending PF to anyone. read more

Don't do It if you don't want surprise charges to your account. The people at the front desk are no help.. The manager is an asshole and to get out of your "contract" you will have to pay money. They don't send you a letter telling you they will take the annual fee off your account. They do it anyways.. Be CAREFUL!! read more
