The gym isn't that big, so it was surprising when I saw how much they packed inside. I think you get your moneys worth with a membership here. Depending on the time of day, parking can get a little crowded, but even if you can't park directly in front of the building, there's plenty of parking nearby. The location is great too, just off Gilead Rd, near Starbucks, Walgreens, etc. I've been very happy here. There are just a few machines that aren't available that I wish they had. But like I said, they are regularly updating and swapping out equipment, so maybe I just need to inquire about what I'm interested in.

It's not a super large gym, perhaps like some others in the area. However, it is a really good size and you never really have to wait for machines or equipment. It seems that they try to keep the equipment up-to-date and every now and then you will see some new/updated equipment on the floor for use. It's also not crowded (usually the regular 1-3 people are there), at least during the super early morning time, when I go. If you go later in the morning, there are a lot more people there and it can become a little crowded. Either way, it's always your average, typical gym folks there that are considerate of others, never any grunters or ones that make you feel out of place when working out. This Anytime Fitness is located in a shopping center with a variety of establishments such as Walgreens, Starbucks, FedEx, and many other eateries and stores. So it is a great location with plenty of parking and things around which may be needed before or after a workout. The owner, manager and trainers are very nice and helpful when needed. If you live in the area, definitely try out this Anytime Fitness for your workouts.

The monthly rate is very affordable compared to other gyms and the fact that it is 24/7 makes working out convenient. Everyone here is friendly and there to workout! Not a selfie social hour. The gym does charge a maintenance fee every 6 months but they actually use the money towards new equipment etc, they even let the members vote on what new equipment they would like in the gym. This is the first gym I have ever had a membership at where they actually put money back into the gym for upkeep/improvements instead of pocketing the maintenance fees. I have never once felt uncomfortable here and always have a great workout. Highly recommend even if you don't live in the Huntersville area (we live in University), it is worth the drive.

Signing waivers was easy with multiple desktops available, and there were snacks for sale and a comfortable sitting area for parents to relax and watch. I also really appreciated the clean restrooms -- especially that they had a changing table, which made things much easier with my 7-month-old. I want to give a shout-out to a young girl on staff who was so sweet and attentive to my daughter. She helped supervise the kids and made sure they were having fun and staying safe. Unfortunately, the team doesn't wear name tags and I didn't think to ask for her name, but she stood out! Two male team members also stepped in to help my husband with quick demonstrations and explained how to complete certain obstacles -- which was super helpful. There is a limited membership to each location. Its cozy and smaller. It's open 24/7. All of these factors resolved my issues with other gyms. My initial sit down assessment with Aidan was included in my package. He was the first trainer that could explain my extreme fatigue during my workouts and told me some simple tips I incorporated in my own workout by myself and it made a huge difference. He was very knowledgeable about explaining how he can move forward with my concerns and goals. On my assessment I had a body scan to see where my percentages were. Sure, I biked every now and again, but I wasn't feeling a strong attachment to it. Since joining Crossfit 704, I've seen great improvement to my work outs. I think if you find the right box, CrossFit is an awesome choice for a lot of people.It's different every day, so it's never boring, someone is writing your workouts for you so you don't have to think about it, and its fun.When I don't show up, people notice and ask where I was.It gets you to do things you wouldn't do on your own. I would never go running or rowing on my own - but if it's in the WOD, I don't have a choice. Also, I'll go and do things that I would never do before (such as yoga classes, or spending a saturday afternoon doing hill sprints) because I know it will help me get a better time on a WOD later on. Does it work? Well, what's your goal? If it's to get in better shape or to lose weight, then yes, it works. However, it's not some cureall magic pill - as with any other training program, you will get out of it what you put into it. This location is amazing. Crossfit is all about community, and I feel it every time I show up. HUGE part of CrossFit is the supportive community aspect that comes with each gym. I guarantee you'd finish a workout a few seconds (or minutes) faster if you had 10 people screaming your name and cheering you toward the finish line.
