Signed up to give PF a try and went in for my first day there today, and came away impressed with how clean the place was and how friendly the staff at the desk was (I should have asked the guy's name but spaced out because a monsoon started pretty much exactly as I was heading to the door). First time in the gym was a little overwhelming just based on the sheer amount of equipment, but as I figure out the lay of the land better, that'll obviously go away since it's mostly just about sorting out the geography of the different machines and weights areas. Wouldn't mind a bit more privacy in the shower area, but even when I played sports growing up and through high school, I was never super comfortable in that sort of setting, so that's more of a "me" issue. Just be aware that there's no changing area directly adjacent to the shower stalls, and the doors on the shower are clouded glass, so while they aren't clear, if someone walks by, they aren't gonna see EVERYTHING, they'll still be able to get an eyeful. Also tried out the massage chair and, despite being someone who typically hates massages in general, it was super relaxing. Looking forward to trying out the hydromassage bed in the near future, as well. read more

There has only been cold water in the showers for over a year now. This problem doesn't seem to be an issue with them.

$20 for a day pass is ridiculous. They did not even offer me to come for the month since it is around the same price.

I really like this location, I have been to a handful and this one is always staffed and clean. There are many spaces to work out and the equipment is the nicest I have seen in any other PF. Everyone is just there to do their thing and it isn't too crowded. I go about between ten and one during the day. read more

Nice clean place to work out. There is an available app so that you can check out the crowd meter any given day. When equipment is damaged it is promptly repaired or replaced. Spacious locker rooms with showers. Some have said there are not enough free weights but as a previous personal trainer I have absolutely everything I need to get in a great workout. read more

Worst gym I've ever been to including other planet fitness's. Charged me a $20 late fee because they claimed they couldn't process my payment. When in actuality they didn't enter the right information for my bank. After I complained they said it's their policy and I couldn't receive a refund. I've met one staff member that wasn't rude. And for some reason they keep the AC at 50 something even when it's freezing outside. Would not recommend. read more

I always love the atmosphere when I walk in. It's encouraging to see all age groups represented doing all of their various workouts. I enjoy all of the equipment. There are so many ways to tailor a personal workout to my needs. Everything is covered. Now if folks would stop using the circuit workout area as their own private workout room it would be even better. Some people don't understand how to use it I guess. That really would be my only complaint. I'm usually in the middle of the circuit and then I have to skip an exercise in the circuit because someone who isn't even doing the circuit is in the way using a machine that they can find on the main floor. It would be nice to complete a full circuit without that happening, but it happens all the time. Anyway, I usually end up just skipping an exercise here and there when those things happen. It doesn't pay to get angry at those folks who don't understand what circuit training is, so I will just skip the exercise when the next machine I need is being used. Overall, the Planet Fitness experience is awesome in spite of the folks who don't understand what the circuit training section is supposed to be used for. I love it. read more

Trisha or whatever her name is couldn't sign me up from my insurance card to get into this gym she said come back during the week like how if I live 35 minutes away just completely wasted my time and I tried to call before so I wouldn't run into this problem and nobody answered the phone and when I walked in the gym was dead so wonder what she was busy with yall need to train your employees to know how to do everything. The Rude Assistant Manager "Summer" would not let me in as a guest do to the fact they couldn't see the person I was with. Although they could see she checked in, they acted like people leave the gym immediately and that there was no way she was there. She also called Julie the manager who also according to Summer would not let me in. They need a system set up to tell that a member has left or not so not to argue with a guest (or a potential member is what I thought being a guest was?? I must be wrong?) Summer smiled condescendingly and told me I don't have to come to her gym. Like she must say this a lot because it seemed trained into her??!! Instead of trying to be helpful she was just plain insulting. When she goes to work in the real world she might find out you don't treat customers so petty. As a guest this is my first impression of this gym and it is NOT a gym I would suggest anyone go to. There are gyms all around this area ho to another one. I mean they give out tootsie rolls upfront? The Planet Fitness in Sherman is well managed, clean, and safe. Staff is constantly cleaning. The greet you inbound and outbound. They handle any issues professionally. I have loved my time being a member, and intend to be for a very long time. read more

This is a great planet Fitness, plenty of tanning rooms, everything clean and well kept up. Not too crowded at the times I've been there, every machine I wanted to use was available. Mixed crowd- young, older, muscles and beginners. Not intimidating, everyone cleans up after themselves and no primadonnas or "trainers" that I could see. The employees are awesome, helpful and friendly! Already signed my 20 y/o son up for his own membership. read more

I joined PF to drop the weight I put on during quarantine. The fact that the entire staff wears face coverings and are constantly cleaning confirmed I made the right choice. The staff, from the front desk to the trainer Aaron, are the most friendly and helpful people you'll ever encounter in the gym aside from the regular patrons. The fact that the gym is 24 hours is a huge plus for this insomniac. read more

The gym is good, normal planet fitness gym, staff is good but there is this girl Julie that works here, she's terrible, rude, bad attitude, I can tell she doesn't want to be there. Makes me not want to be there either. I won't be coming back to this location, and for the same reason a lot of my friends won't be returning either. read more

I have been going to PF for the last 5 years. I have been very pleased with the way this facility is run and cleaned. The staff is always cleaning, dusting or checking on the mechanics of the machines. I'm greeted as I check in (contactless now) and the manager decorates and makes the place festive for holidays. If you see any equipment not working/in repair...I can tell you they don't stay that way for long. It's a great environment to exercise!! Rhonda :) read more

OK so what basically happened was I came in in appropriately dressed had my gym bag ready to go the minute I stepped in to planet fitness opened my front pocket of my gym bag took out my black card scanned it and put the black card back into my gym bag then went back to the locker room put my gym bag away stepped out to see what I could do. Anyway after scanning the area looking at all the weights and cardio machine I went to the bicep machine the one closest to the door and started slamming on the weights weights so it was about that time that a heavyset African-American woman approached me told me "can you tone it down with the weights" my response was "OK" so I went on to the next machine and the one after that when I got to the core machine day set off your blue alarm I saw that same heavyset African-American woman come up to me and say if you do not stop with the way my manager will kick you out at which I responded in a very angry tone of voice just forget it grabbed my bag and walked out in anger this is the worst planet fitness I've ever been to find you I have been coming here since this business was first established I have been planning the way no problem at all until this heavyset African-American woman get to give me problems she thinks she's above the law and above everybody else that she can embarrass people whatever she wants so I had to leave planet fitness that day and go finish working out at Nautilis had to get a gym membership with them then proceed to finish working out because planet fitness it's all about not intimidating people I go there to relieve stress and anger but apparently that's not a lot of weight of fitness therefore I have to find another gym where I can do that because planet fitness is crap and any time a member banks the weights are blue alarm gets shut off I personally feel like I was singled out amongst all the other members who were slamming their way ridiculous never coming back again. Also. Fire or get rid of that women! Apparently people who come to this gym who deal with their mental health issues can't come here because all you guys do is patronize people who also have anger issues. Take away that blue silly alarm! It shouldn't even be sounded unless there's an emergency like: A break in, A robbery, the building is on fire, or there's a chemical hazard spilling out in the gym. Sherman location is very clean and friendly! I love the staff. There are several spray bottles at each station. All tanning beds are strong.

I'm very disappointed in Planet Fitness. I signed up for a membership in 2021. I attended once, had a medical issue and left my local establishment. I never went back, as their records would show. I wanted to cancel my membership and tried to do so multiple times through emails, trying to find a phone number to call to speak with someone, with no response, ever. As far as I could see, their website never stated that you had to go in person to cancel a membership until recently. So, over the course of two years, they have had multiple successful payments, and I'm out 333.02 cents for a service I never used, and feeling like I had no direct help. I had my bank dispute the charges and it was denied. In conclusion, I feel extremely cheated by this company for not having better customer service to assist people wanting to cancel or to even consider this service was never used and they just took my funds. Please have better customer service. read more

The price is right. The staff are courteous and helpful. The location is convenient with minimal traffic. But the biggest plus is that, unlike a lot of gyms, it is always sparkling clean and never smells of dirty socks. Give them a try! read more

Visited one day on a pass, then two more days as a guest of a Black Card member I met. 1) Masks are NOT being enforced. I think that is wrong. Sure, masks make working out more difficult, but they can also save lives. The sign on the door suggests that mask usage is mandatory, but 90% of patrons did NOT have one on. This needs to change. 2) I was considering joining and using the trainer. But in the three days when I was there, he IGNORED me. I walked past him several times, and he acted as if I didn't exist, which is so unlike the other employees at the desk and cleaning and filling bottles. He needs to get his act together--or lose the attitude, if that's the problem. 3) The gym is very clean, the locker room included. The lady who cleans the locker room was very thorough and was accommodating when I needed to change clothes. 4) I plan to visit the other gym in town, primarily because I like to work with a trainer, and I know I cannot work with PF's trainer. I've been to this gym years ago so I decided to come back. I had a friend who wanted to come with me so she did. Before we came I called to ask if there was a specific time guests were allowed and they said no, come any time. Once we arrived I told the guy at the front desk that I was new and my guest asked about the online deal $0 and no commitment. He gave us a pitch and came out to like $15 and seemed annoyed when she mentioned the online deal $0 down. She decided she would just sign up online and utilize the guest pass here instead. The guy at the front desk had to ask permission to the dark haired woman working, I'm assuming she was a manager. She tells us that they no longer offer the guest pass, they don't know why. No one can give us a straight answer. I guess this is the first time anyone has ever tried to utilize a guest pass at this location before? The woman was not accommodating whatsoever and really made the experience unpleasant. After our workout, another woman at the desk ask if we had a tour and offered the class schedule. Wish we would have met her first! The gym is nice and clean, but I honestly wouldn't recommend this place because of the staff. read more

The management told me that they don't care about the employees parking in the handicapped parking and I should go else where, to work out.
