Heard advertisement on radio. came into the facility for a membership. Starting at $1, and then $10 a month. What's the catch-- "no catch" LIES LIES LIES. The two men at the front counter failed to mention the $55 annual fee in a month. I called, but the incredibly rude manager said thats my fault for not knowing that, and she wouldnt refund my money and cancel the membership to which I did not even get to use yet. Had been a member there for almost 6 years. Dropped them two days ago. I'm the person (pre-covid) that went in there every other day on average and did an hour or so of intense working out and left a sweaty mess. No lollygagging. I liked the fact that people weren't supposed to be talking on their phones, making a ton of noise, and hogging machines...not a social event, but a place to exercise. I've spoken to a person maybe 6 times the nearly 6 years I had been going there. The last two times I have spoken to anyone were staff members. The last time I had asked a fellow patron if she was using the leg press (there are two) as her water bottle and so forth were on the machine, however, she was on a different machine several feet away. She said yes and that she is allowed to be using two machines at once. I find that disgusting that a person thinks they are more important than the next person. I calmly asked the front desk person if she would address this (I just want to exercise and get out). She did not. Should would not. When I called to explain that I would like to cancel my membership, the young man who took my call laughed when I said that I'm just not comfortable going to that gym anymore. Very condescendingly. I know the difference. He then proceeded to laugh while closing out the phone call. I called back and spoke to a younger female voice. I explained my position and that this was NOT related to covid and 100% about enforcing the environment promised to their customers. She offered to have the manager (Samantha) call me when she arrived. She explained that it may not be within the hour as she has some things she does each workday before she would be able to field calls. That was two days ago......thanks guys...... read more

Great gym. The staff are always polite and friendly. Masks are required on staff as well as guests. They have several well marked cleaning stations as well as hand sanitizer stations. The gym is always clean and staff disinfect the equipment as well. Machines are marked so to keep with social distancing. The gym is open 24/5 currently and limited weekend hours in the weekend. read more

So I have been a Planet Fitness member for about a month now and if visited 3 different facilities. This particular facility is one that is House in a shopping center and has a pretty good design. I have the black Card which means this is not my home facility but I'm allowed to travel to this facility and it's really close to my work. My main complaint is for the first two weeks I was there they had these purple microfiber towels and bottles of this disinfectant everywhere. Literally every machine had a towel and disinfectant so I was really comfortable with being able to grab one and wipe the machine off before and after I worked out on that machine and I was pretty confident that it was nice and clean. In fact they have these signs all over the place that asked why microfiber towels because they're better than paper towels don't generate any waste to Etc. This week I went there and all of the towels and disinfectant are gone and removed and they have about five stations of paper towel dispensers with two bottles of disinfectant. That's it. Folks were literally waiting in line for a bottle of disinfectant which is absolutely moronic. When I asked the front desk where did the microfiber towels go they said corporate made us do it. Well lucky for you I'm pretty well connected and I contacted corporate and they said in no way shape or form did we encourage them to get rid of microfiber towels. In fact it's contradictory to our mission statement. So now someone is lying to me. That coupled with you go in the restroom and wash your hands and there's no paper towels you have to use a stupid Air Dryer. This place is just getting dumber and dumber. 2 Stars also for lack of cleanliness and now germs everywhere because there's no towels to wipe down your machines. read more

this is the worst pf as it is because the lighting is horrendous & people who come here are rude & talk on their phones etc. i have a small duffle bag i workout with because i have a bunch of equipment in it such as a barbell pad, deadlifting belt, bands, jump rope, gloves, ankle straps etc that i need when i'm lifting. i was told mid workout that i can't have the bag with me because people steal weights and i need to put it in a locker. i need the stuff during my workout that is the whole point so i explained that & offered to bring it up after my workout for them to check it before i leave. she said ok that's fine. minutes later i was approached again mid workout by a man who said i can't have the bag, it's literally the same size as a backpack which they said is acceptable. makes no sense. i asked him to just check the bag when i leave cause i need my equipment he said no and said he can give me a small bag. that won't fit my stuff though so how would that work? i'm 5'0 100 pounds i don't have any interest in stealing weights i just want to workout!!! had to go to another pf that doesn't do this & now i lost time in my 2 hour window i had today to lift when i offered a simple solution. unreal. read more

I've only been a member at this establishment for a short amount of time. But I do love how they are open 24/7. The staff is normally friendly, sometimes there's a sour apple in the bunch. I mostly visit late at night, and it's always been very clean. There's plenty of machines for everyone. I've noticed that they keep the temperature cool & fans going, which I love. I like to be as comfortable as possible when working out lol. The massage chairs are pretty nifty, they can turn them on at the desk so you don't need to get coins. I haven't used the tanning or massage bed perks yet - but plan on doing so within the next week. I'll update my review then. Overall, for the price, it's enough plus some for what I need. read more

Don't try to cancel! First tried to cancel months ago, but there would be a fee. Ok no problem, I'll wait a couple months. Go and finally cancel then charged! This Planet Fitness location is convenient, clean, well maintained, close to home, and offers ample assortment of workout equipment catering to different muscle groups and personal needs. It is also housed within a larger space when compared to other locations I've been to. I have been coming here for the past two years and have never had a negative experience. While Planet Fitness may not be a prototypical 'gym' that serves the needs of massive body builders who compete locally and nationally, it allows health conscious people to maintain healthy fitness levels at a low monthly cost. read more

Based on visiting handful of PF locations. This location seems to always be clean and tidy. Good quality benches, weights, and equipment. Towels and bottles provided at every machine to wipe down machines. 99% of people help maintain the clean machines and wipe down the machine. Locker rooms are always clean. Staff greets when arriving and leaving the facility. Overall it's one of the better PF I've been to. read more

Staff needs to be more friendlier. Most of the male staff members seem go out of their way to ignore the paying members. They stand behind the counter and seem to be very click-kish with each other, and once again ignoring everyone else around them. Smile for Christ sakes! The female staff members are way more friendlier and polite. read more

I love this place! Everyone is so friendly. I don't find it dirty. They have little free "classes" you can sign up for also. Lotsa different people here - fat, fit, runnin', liftin'. Go in and give it a try. Very nice place. Great environment. read more

Planet Fitness does not notify you about anything regarding upcoming withdraws from your account. I froze my planet fitness for 3 months due to medical reasons and the virus. I did not receive any reminder about it ending (as 2020 has already been difficult for me and everyone else to worry about a gym charging your account without courtesy) and was charged. My medical conditions have not changed nor the virus so I still am not comfortable going to the gym. Also, they did not remind me that it was time for my annual fee and charged my account. It is a scam. I would totally stay with Planet Fitness if they didn't charge me so much during this time because its hard enough. I expected decency at least to do so and think about others or at least pretend. read more

Planet Fitness would get 5 stars from me if this facility didn't have an unbroken line of large TV screens that can not be avoided when doing aerobic machines. It is made worse because almost every other TV is tuned to Fox. One morning at 7:30 I looked up, and saw a woman shoot a deer, and show off his beautiful antlers, on the sports station. I realize there are lots of hunters out there, but this is a very specialized type of TV and shouldn't be found in a gym. Short of closing my eyes I can't get away from the flashing of screens and numerous repeats of the same shows. When I work out I have my phone, earbuds and good Audible book. read more

I am overall satisfied with the cleanliness of the gym. My only issue with that is the cloths used to clean the machines after use are not changed enough. I can't tell you how many times I have touched one of those and they were soaking wet. My biggest issue with this gym is the staff. They are not very professional or welcoming. i also agree with the towels issue. It takes time out of my workout to walk all the way across the gym to find an available spray bottle and paper towels... It killllllls me because its soooo wasteful. I will be going out to buy a 18 pack of cheap towels and spray sanitizer to use myself. This location IS my home gym and other than this issue they are fantastic people , the facility is clean, well maintained and mostly all equipment is always working at any given time, so they get 5 stars ,but come on guys ditch the tree destroying paper towels and bring back microfiber . read more

I find Planet Fitness very enjoyable. It is a more laid-back gym environment, in my opinion, with plenty of variety to change up your workouts. I joined (Willowick's location) in January of 2015, but I didn't join necessarily with the intention of losing too much weight; I just wanted a place to exercise on days I felt like it. It's been a year and a half and I still workout very regularly because I genuinely enjoy working out at Planet Fitness. Willowick's location is very spacious and clean. Equipment is laid out nicely--plenty of personal space even when the gym is busy. The staff seems accommodating, as well. Occasionally there will be issues with the water fountain and the employees offer free water bottles to make up for it; that's just one example. For someone looking to start a healthier lifestyle, I strongly suggest PF! They're open 24 hours and it's very affordable for everything they offer. It's an environment where you feel comfortable going at your own pace, and that's important when you're looking to enjoy working out! read more
