Sign says it closes at 10pm... they decide to close at 9pm on a Friday. Unbelievable, barely have any cold beer

Why have I been living in this area for so long and never been in this hidden gem. I always look for a wine store and never paid attention to this spot. When I arrived I parked in their mini parking lot. I walked in and everything was marked in sections. I was easily able to find what I was looking for and it was priced so reasonably. The staff was very helpful and there for any questions. I am so glad I found this place and I will be back again! read more

This place is HUGE! They have a great assortment of everything but mostly wines, and sectioned off by region. I was able to get a hard to find wine from here. They were very helpful. I thought price was reasonable. read more

Wide variety of liquor and I used to come here often. Today I did not enjoy being followed/monitored throughout the store. The manager literally just stood there at the end of each aisle I was in to stare. I thought it was maybe to assist me if I needed help but he just very lazily pointed in the general direction of what I was looking for twice without actually telling me when I asked. Very interesting which liquors they decide keep behind the counter. Apparently these brands get "stolen a lot" per the cashier. For context, I'm in biker shorts and a tank top with no where to hide anything. Won't be coming back. read more

Nice place, clean, bright, and cavernous! Not a huge craft beer selection, but good prices on things and they have a few notable areas where they shine: do you need a bottle of liquor in a bottle that is shaped like an animal, a gun, or something else that isn't a bottle? This is your place. I've never seen so many figurative bottles. Do you like Polish/Armenian/Bulgarian/other European brandies and such? Planet of Wine goes beyond "we have that" to "there's a selection to choose from." Impressive. read more

Planet of wine has to be the most inept Internet retailer I've seen. A full 2 weeks after my order was placed, they let me now that they have canceled it: "Thank you for shopping at planetofwine.com. This email is to confirm your order number 2056 has been cancelled. This order will no longer be accessible in your Order History on your My Account page. Thanks again for shopping at planetofwine.com" No "sorry for wasting your time." No, "can we give you something else." Just a quick tough luck buddy. When I asked what happened, hey said, "Hi Both these wines are currently unavailabe with the importer. Regards planetofwine.com" And these fine fellows at Planet of Wine still have both wines (that are not available from the importer) on the website. ONe of the wines was a 2005 German Auslese from JJ Prum. My dead grandmother has more likelihood of coming back to a wine importer than that. To be fair, they said that within 3 days, they might inform me that they would not have access to the wines. I guess that their calendar doesn't work. 14 days is not 2 days. Do not shop at planet of wine unless you want to waste your time.Their site is slow and after you go through the stupid slow site, you don't even get the wine. Maybe they should call it planet of no wine. Or planet devoid of wine. Or planetofwinewasteoftime. read more

The location's very convenient (off Hwy. 1) and the wine and liquor selection's great.

So it's not a bad place to go, but with the name like planet of wine I expected more. I drive by here every night so I decided to stop in last Thursday. When i went inside, there didn't seem to much organization as to how the wine was organized. Plus they don't even follow the signs as you would find whites mixed in under the various red titles. Further investigation showed the wines they offered were on the cheaper end. While this is fine, I would think a warehouse would have a better selection of medium to upper tier wines. read more

Great shopping spot for beer,wine, and liquor, very organized, friendly staff who make it their goal to get you what you came for. The store is well thought out, with ease of shopping in mind, I love exploring the store finding new wines. This place has a lot to offer, I love how the manager approached me, introduced himself, gave me a tour of the store explaining how the selections are laid out and informing me of upcoming tastings, and new selections. read more

I've been a regular customer for 5 or 6 years making monthly trips to Newark Airport. I generally spend $200-300 per stop as they have a good selection of Portuguese wine. Yesterday I bought 2 cases, one being a reserve (over$200) but was told the normal 10% discount was not coming up in the computer. The clerk promised to make it up on my next visit. Not happening. Every other store gives a case discount. They will get my business now. Apparently there are new owners here. The old ways of being helped on the floor with you order are gone. So am I! read more

Not only do they have a large selection of wine, beer, and alcohol but their staff is nice and always have suggestions for new things to try. My husband and I only purchase there and will be buying our wedding "spirits" there. The prices are great and convenient location. read more
