I got a last minute appointment on Tuesday at 6:10pm. I walked in, there was no wait.... Taylor was at the front desk and greeted me immediately and checked me in. My first thought was "she's so friendly". Once I came out the bathroom, Tessa was waiting for me for weight and blood pressure. Again, super friendly. Tessa was also extremely knowledgeable and provided me with a lot of good information. Julie came in shortly after again, super friendly. I was nervous because I got such a late appointment, I was concerned about the customer service but was not disappointed. I'd recommend anyone to this location. I called my mom on the way in and called her when I got out and she was shocked that I was in and out within 20-25 minutes. read more

I noticed there was no recent review for this location when signing onto Yelp. I figured I should fix that... I get a Depo shot every 12 weeks and have been for many years. Once moving to TX, Planned Parenthood turned out to be right down the road! I've now lived in TX for 2 years and always have gone to this location. Helpful, patient people. Everyone is sweet as can be and attentive to your comfort. I'm not great with needles and they completely respect and acknowledge that. Never an issue with my info or insurance (I use Blue Cross Blue Shield). Plus, my favorite part. Small clinic, yet always moving smoothly. Cherry on the sundae is the convenience of it being so close. Big thumbs up in my book. read more

So I'm going to be very transparent here, I am a pro-life republican (I only mention that to emphasis my experience) so you can imagine the hesitation I may have had coming here. With that being said, my experience was WONDERFUL and the staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed! I came to get my birth control implant removed and Amanda was excellent! I made an appt a week ago for the 30th of Sept. at 10AM for a PAP. I went in, I waited in the waiting area while they checked my insurance which was still good and then the receptionist asked me when my last PAP was. I wasn't sure so I estimated 3 or 4 years ago and then she told me because I'm over 30 they wouldn't give me a PAP because it's been less than 5 years. 1. When I made the appt it was because I was having abnormal periods and spotting in between 2. When I made the appt a week prior the woman who scheduled it didn't once mention that. When I asked if there was any way to be seen she went and checked with the person who was scheduled to do my PAP, came back and said they "weren't comfortable to do it at this time". My insurance was only good up until the day of the appt If they would have asked me when my last PAP was when booking the appt all of my time and insurance wouldn't have been waisted and I could have booked with a private OBGYN before my insurance expired. -When I asked why they didn't verify my last PAP, initially, when I was making the appt she said the "they aren't trained to do that" what? -And when I told them I was unsure of the date exactly and it quite possibly could have been 5 years they still turned me away. -She instead offered to give me a screening for infections which I turned down because that's not the service I booked. -One of the receptionist told me that since I was having abnormal periods and spotting that they wouldn't have given me a PAP anyway. (Then why was I able to book a PAP for that reason specifically in the first place? And isn't that how you would diagnose something like cervical cancer?) I made my appointment online a week ago,this definitely gives them enough time to reach out if pricing for a simple test may come out over $100. Just came in for my appointment thinking this was the best option for a simple sti check, really just a urine analysis, since my insurance was canceled. They told me it would be $150 up front not including any possible medications or I wouldn't be seen. I don't know where that's considered affordable but when I told her I couldn't afford it she offered no other resources. read more

Today's thread festivities gave me the bright idea "Hey! You should review the Planned Parenthood in North Dallas!" I have no tales of abortions or STDs, thankfully. But I have called them before for sexual health related questions and they are more than happy to help you as best as they can. The staff is friendly, patient, and their prices for checkups aren't bad at all (And for those who find themselves in a tough spot financially, Planned Parenthood can work with you on price) Planned Parenthood does an incredible job looking out for Women's (and Men's) health, and they deserve to be commended for the job they do. read more

The staff is professional, the clinic is clean and easy to get to and the prices are the best you'll get in DFW. As most of you may already know, MOST men do NOT actually show any signs/symptoms for STDs (depending on which ones of course). If you are not 100% sure, and are in a new relationship, or simply want a clean bill of health, I really recommend getting tested. For less than $120, you'll get the STD, HIV, and Hepatitiis Test. read more

My daughter had an appointment for bc. We were on time, three others waiting, and they were at least thirty min late getting her in. Then they called in the wrong prescription. They failed to call in the correct prescription when notified twice about the situation, likely because they thought they were in the right despite pharmacy proving wrong med called in. Finally pharmacy called the PP office themselves to get prescription corrected and PP was argumentative about it. Pharmacy manager was heard saying "I'm not blaming anyone, I just want to get the correct prescription for the client". Nice of pharmacy to help when PP failed to. And considering PP was paid for the visit and late getting her in and called twice about mistake.... Not a good impression. read more

The Bad and Ugly: The intake receptionist girl with winged out eyeliner is useless and not professional. My cat would do better, at least my cat would happily greet you! This receptionist should be in the back counting inventory and NOT customer facing. Better yet, she should work at the DMV or Post Office where she will fit right in for lack of people skills. The demeanor of the receptionist was do the least possible and not look you in the face. She handed me the intake form on a clipboard and NO pen?! The look she gave after she asked if I had insurance and I replied that I have been unemployed several weeks now was insensitive! I kept this to myself of course. I had an appointment scheduled and showed up on time. I expect a 10-30 min wait in doctor office, but near an hour?! The receptionist did not check on anyone in the lobby either. Why where people that got there AFTER me getting seen before me? The Good: Once I was with the medical staff, nurse or medical assistant and later doctor, it was awesome, friendly, positive and what I expected from PP. I am so glad PP exists for women's health, as I needed more bc pills to keep my hormones under control, as BC pills are about more that BC!, in order to perform well at a hopefully a new upcoming job. ... read more

I was referred to dr jordan at the addison planned parenthood clinic to get an IUD inserted with medication and lidocaine due to me being nulligravida (never been pregnant) from the plano clinic that was unsuccessful putting in the IUD the first time. I contacted this office twice before my appointment date to make sure the medicine and lidocaine would be available I arrived at the office and waited 45 minutes to be told that no medication would be given to me to insert the IUD I told them I called twice before I came in to the office to make sure that the medication to open the cervix was available, and lidocaine for the cervix to numb it because it was so painful the first time The doctor said he wouldnt give me any medication, and acted annoyed that I even asked I told him that he and his office wasted my time that I never would of scheduled an appointment for an 2nd unmedicated IUD insertion again as the first was so painful I told him that his office wasted my time as it took me 45 min to drive up there and waited 45 minutes to see him his receptionist seemed snarky I told him I would find a provider that would give the medication needed as I am nulligravida (never been pregnant) dr lynn jordan said dishonest things about the Paraguard: said it would cause constant cramping for months and that to remove it metal instruments would need to be put in my uterus He tried to argue with me when I wanted to leave the office I would NEVER recommend this dishonest quite creepy doctor to anyone, ever. read more

I only went to planned patenthood because a friend said that is where she goes and because I have moved 30 miles from my regular gynecologist. Getting an appointment was easy, however the dr was somewhat rude. Who gives you life altering information anf leaves the room only to bring another stranger in. I went for bc pills, because my blood pressure was ao high the dr would not prescribe me any. The pap hurt like hell, i have been given regular paps every year since 2002 and never have i experienced such pain. Horrible experience! read more

Worst fucking place for emergent care needs! How do you schedule and make appointments with patients and don't call them to say you are closing early. It's planned Parenthood! You know for all sorts of emergency needs when it comes to that!!! Placing a stupid sign on the door saying you're going to close for the afternoon and all the next day. So unprofessional!!! i made an appointment last week, under the assumption i could tell them my symptoms and theyd try to help me or give me advice or recommend me somewhere else, or actions i could take to fix the things i am VERY worried about (and i expressed that multiple times). i went today and the employees were nice, but not helpful at all. they did not tell me their names, ignored half the things i said and were only worried about pregnancy and acne. (THOSE ARE THE LAST THINGS I AM WORRIED ABOUT RIGHT NOW!) they prescribed me bc (a years worth) when i wasnt even sure on taking it in the first place, the nurse didnt even tell me the brand or specifics about it. the next lady to come in didnt tell me her name, or if she was a doctor, nurse, or an np. the first thing she said when she sat down was "i see youve got some acne! this should fix it right up!" which is something that made me uncomfortable. she also disregarded all of my worries and only concentrated on shit that i straight told her i wasnt worried about. then they started being rude, cutting me off, talking down to me, etc. and they kept telling me i made the appointment wrong, and that the ONLY thing they could do was prescribe bc, and pretty much told me they couldnt help me. i would think planned parenthood would take my concerns seriously, but obviously not. they are disorganized and dont seem to care much about what the patients say or things they would like to avoid taking ( my example: BC!!! i told them i was uncomfortable with it and they literally ignored it) i wouldnt say dont come to this one, but in my experience they were not helpful and just made me worry more honestly. read more

I had such a great experience here. After dealing with the chaos of appointment rescheduling at another facility I was scheduled to go to this location. I called this morning (7/5) to make sure the appointment was set and good to go since the other facility had scheduled the appointment for me, thankfully the appointment was set. I then get a call from this facility stating that they did not take my insurance (which the other location never mentioned that my insurance was not accepted). Thankfully they helped me figure out the financial portion of my appointment over the phone and got it squared away before I even arrived. After I checked in at 1:10 I waited about 30 minutes to get called back (which is pretty good considered they seemed to be pretty busy today). After getting vitals and speaking with one of the staff members I waited another few minutes in the exam room. One of the staff members from the front desk came in to adjust the exam table and noticed I was sweating (I was a tad nervous and it was hot in the exam room). Without even asking her to do so, she gave me a cold bottle of water and let me know the nurse was coming in soon to start. The nurse comes in and is super friendly! She had great bedside manner and explained each step of the appointment as she was conducting it. She made me feel super comfortable and truly seemed to care about how I was feeling during the appointment. I only gave this place 4/5 stars because of the heat i experienced in the exam room. What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if you are going to double book?? My appointment was at 3 pm. I was on time. I sat for 30 minutes waiting to be seen. I left work early to come here when i could have been earning money. Then when im finally called i discover that the appointment setter schedule me for a screening when i specifically said exam. Now i have to wait another 30 minutes to be worked in the rotation. This does not make sense, it shouldn't be this hard for health care. read more
