Amazing staff! Big shout out to the nurse staff Anna, Sid, Lara and Devin in the front office. Anna especially answered all my questions and was very well informed. I felt so cared for the entire time I was there. Last time I was there was in 2020 and they have since improved their wait time with option to check in online prior to your appointment. They mention "no news is good news" regarding test results which is the first time I am hearing this from the last time I was there in 2020. I did not have a good experience getting my blood drawn last time (it was a new nurse who poked me multiple times with no success), I was referred to an outside clinic Humboldt Phlebotomy who drew my blood and then never received an update on my blood results even after I called both clinics multiple times. It was strange but oh well, I just wish they communicated a bit more last time but they seem to have improved so I have hope! It's a good affordable health clinic with a staff that truly does care for women health needs. read more

Made an appointment to go for it to not be set up, the receptionist looked like she could fly away with her eyelashes and talked unprofessionally. Got put on a waiting list and was told I can't make an appointment because they were filled until the end of july. I did end up getting called and went to the appoint early July @ 11:30, I checked in everything went great, got called at a great time and the doctor and nurse were great. The receptionist this time was also awesome and very easy going. Only thing I have to say is my partner wasn't allowed back which is odd, in all of the medical facilities I've been to let ONE person in along with you. Yet, that is a temporary issue. read more

I gotta say this was the most pleasant medical experience ive ever had, period. I cant say enough about how amazing the nurses were, I had a procedure with complications and spent the entire day in the clinic. They have the best bedside mannerism. They made me feel so calm and safe, helped me work through an anxiety attack like it was nothing haven't experienced kindness like that from anyone since even moving to this state. The nurse who was with me the entire day wrote down her favorite beaches in the area on a sticky note so i could explore the area and see the ocean to make me feel better. The BEST. This place was so wonderful during a procedure that I had 5 years ago that I went back to school to become a medical assistant to work at planned parenthood so that I could provide the quality of service that was provided to me. Yelp was not a 'thing' then, but I think about those women often that got me through a dark time. I won't go into detail, but without them I would not be where I am right now. Planned Parenthood has been reassuring me for years that I am still STI/STD Free. They help men and women with reproductive health! Everyone in this center has been nice and professional. The space is always clean and it is nice that they play movies in the lobby to cut down on awkward silences. I will continue to go here for check ups and suggest everyone do the same! read more

I have been here twice for the sole purpose of getting and removing the Nexplanon birth control implant. Yes, I have waited an average of 4 hours each time, however once you are actually seen for your visit it's in and out. They are professional, friendly, and they care. When I first had nexplanon inserted in my arm I asked the nurse if she could hold my hand because I was afraid, and she was awesome. The wait is worth it. read more

I have been going here since high school. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and will always give you all options for any procedure or medication. Yes, the wait is long sometimes, but that is because they're the only reproductive care many of us in Humboldt can afford, and they're the only planned parenthood for the whole county. Every time I have come to Planned Parenthood in Eureka, I have had a great experience. The waiting room is very clean and comfortable and they always have a movie playing on the tv. The nurses are all usually very nice and you are seen without waiting very long. Everyone is very helpful and I get all my questions answered. One time when I went to get a vaccine, they allowed a trainee nurse to do it and it hurt so bad and she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing at all. Plan parenthood in eureka needs to get its S&%T together when it comes to booking appointments and admit their wrong when they make the mistake. Appoints are made to be on time why tell us be there early if you make us wait an hour anyways. Every appointment I have made over the past month has been pushed aside or moved to a different time. I was rescheduled 3 times between the end of March and end of April and still am being seen 2 hours after my scheduled appointment, the lady who said she would help me is here but hasn't helped me at all And I was told I could speak with a manager witch still hasn't happened. I say Shut it down and put the funding towards the open door community health clinic help them expand their business instead of supporting a company who cares little about their customer service such as plan parenthood 0 stars all around. UPDATE: We've been waiting for SIX FUCKING HOURS!!!!! SIX hours!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!? What a complete joke this place is. My girlfriend and I have been waiting since 915am and it's now ten minutes to 2pm waiting for a 15 minutes procedure. We politely asked if there was a hold up of some kind and were politely given the "sorry, we can't give out details but assure you no one has forgot about you," speech. Well not 5 minutes after we ask my girlfriend is brought back so someone can take her blood type.. This place is completely lacking in communication between the people that work here. I had such a great experience here and I wanted to share it. My husband had made an appointment for me over the phone for 9 AM. The morning of the appointment, we were running late and called to ask if we could come a bit later. They were awesome and scheduled us for 9:30. When I got there, there were a few people sitting down and a couple people in line for the front desk, but I was seen at the window super quickly. I think the person's name was Caitlyn. She was so sweet. I was a bit embarrassed because of 1) why I was coming and 2) I don't have insurance or $$ to pay yet she put my mind at ease and was very gracious. I was brought back about 15 minutes after sitting down, not a bad wait at all! I've waited much longer at a "regular" doctor's office before. When I was brought back, the MA was also really sweet. They had to ask a lot of questions from the computer but they still made it feel personable. I wish I got her name because she was also really great Erica was my provider that day, and she did a great job of explaining things for me and taking as much time as I needed. The only slightly negative thing that happened was the different MA or RN (not sure who she was, because she didn't introduce herself when she walked in) was pretty rude and curt when she walked into the exam room after the provider had examined me. She didn't say hi, didn't introduce herself, just walked in and said "whats your name and birthday, I need to make sure I'm talking to the right person" I told her, and she handed me a pill and some papers. I asked her, "oh, so they saw yeast I guess?" And she looked at me condescendingly and said "yeah. Do you know how to check out?" I assumed it was the lobby so I said yes. Well apparently there is a separate check out area and I was dumb for missing it, but I was kind of flustered at how rude she was. My career was in health care and I absolutely know how to confirm someone's identity while also being a decent human being, and relay the doctor's results while still making someone feel comfortable. I wish I got her name, but all I know is she was tall, and African American. ‍ Im still rating them 5 stars because just because there's one bad apple doesn't mean the entire facility is bad. They open at 7:30am on saturdays and i came here at 7:46am to miss the crowd and no one was here its now almost 8am and the hours say 7:30am on the door and online. I dont understand why no one is here, if you have hours then you should be there. Really disappointing and horrible customer service. read more

This clinic is clean, nice and filled with women employees who are truly dedicated to the people they serve. Though I have a fine doctor, I go here for all my woman stuff because this clinic is specialized in these services and I feel more comfortable letting them take care of me. Yes sometimes there is a wait as they take their time with each person they serve, they dont hurry up with you to get you out the door. These health care workers are very thorough with everything they do. Highly recommend this Planned Parenthood clinic. read more
