Although the line can be long (I recommend getting in line before the clinic opens if you can), the people at Redwood Urgent Care are wonderful, from the warm check-in to the kind and knowledgeable doctors. Some things they cannot help with (like anything related to the heart), but I was was able to take my mother here for excruciating sciatica. She had an exam and x-rays done and was given an injection for temporary pain relief, along with follow-up instructions. This was all very helpful and gave her information she could bring to her primary care physician. I recommend coming here when you need friendly assistance right away - no need to suffer! read more

Went to the Emergency Care in eureka and the staff there was great. Very friendly and caring to my needs. The doctor found a small black tick and carefully removed it. I was there for a dog bite wound on my hand. The place is small and was busy on the day I was there, but they got me in quickly and took care of my wound. While I was in the waiting room a nurse came out and refilled the mask box and sanitized the door handles. It was very clean and professional. I will go back there again. read more

Waited two hours to be seen to be given a flu test to then have the staff come back in to tell me I have the flu and to drink fluids and rest! The times I've tried to get seen here for concerns that were not at all an emergency (for example, a pulled muscle), I've been denied care and told to go to the ER. Almost seems a little unethical to send healthy people to an ER in an area that is so terribly underserved. Folks are better off to wait to see their PCP. read more

If you're a veteran - beware. I have spent the last eight months going back and forth with Redwood Urgent Care about my bill because they keep incorrectly billing as if I were active duty. If you're a veteran with VA health care going here because they appear on the VA's "in network" search tool, be careful and make SURE they have the correct info! General care - good place to go if its not an emergency but can't wait to get in to your doctor- if you have one. We got there right at 9am this morning when they opened, waited about 15 minutes in line, checked in, then they gave us a buzzer to let us know we could be seen. Had very efficient care from our Med Assistant, and Kiersten our PA was fantastic. We felt heard and fully cared for. I've always had great care there and will continue to go when needed. read more

I'm very frustrated with this facility. I stopped by three times this weekend. Once on Saturday afternoon to find out they had closed early. Then Sunday morning 5-10 minutes after they were supposedly opened to find that they weren't and there was a line of people waiting to get in, then again Sunday afternoon to find AGAIN that they had closed early. I always go to RUC when I become seriously ill because my primary care physician is only available with several days/weeks/months notice. Recently I had a sudden, very excruciating internal attack and they saw me immediately. After some labs they told me they were calling an ambulance because I would need ER care. When I moaned that my puppy was in the car, PA Maria Spetzler got the puppy and took him to her house for the night! I call this EXTRAORDINARY care! read more

Had to go to urgent care this morning and was so pleased with my experience, that I wanted to write this review. When I first arrived, I was a little frustrated at the line, but it went by soon enough. Every staff member I spoke to then on was nothing but patient and genuine. I was having a insurance issue, on top of an anxious day (I mean having to go to urgent care usually is), and they made the process smooth and comforting. I had a lovely doctor whom went out of her way to refer me to even more medical care recourses. I left feeling taken care of, in more ways than one. I went in this morning due to a sprain on my right shoulder. Greeted, was a little off but we got around it. Once they called me back, I believe her name was Jennifer was a delight. She was patient and caring. After she did my check in questions, the PA came in, I wanna say Julia or Maria--I'm so bad at names, but she made me feel right at home. She took everything that I was saying and helped me understand what it was I did and how she was going to fix it. I think that it was one of the best visits I've ever had given the circumstances of my sprain. I'd definitely recommend it and I'll go there for all of my non emergency needs! I was traveling and had not access to my regular doctor so I went into this urgent care which some people recommended. I was never seen by a doctor but a nurse practitioner who took one look and immediately determined what it would be and also took lab test samples. She insisted it was either one of 2 things and i got a prescriotion for 2 different antibiotics. Not happy at all to had to take them. Nobody called me about the lab wotk and when I finally did a week later, i was told the lab determined it was neither of what the nurse practitioner insisted on. I asked what I should do now and was told to go see my doctor who is hundreds of miles away due to me still traveling. Not only did they misdiagnose me based on wrong assumptions, they made me take 2 antibiotics I did not even need, never followe up and then did not care that they could not help me. The result of this, humdreds of dollars of lab bills after my PPO paid most of it and no idea still. I cannot imagine what it must be like having a serious health issue here. read more

If you are vaccinated for covid 19 but haven't received your booster even at 4mo post 2nd vaccine for covid they will not provide service. This place and the people here are nothing short of spectacular. I have been here three times in the past two months two times for Covid tests. And this last time today when I cut my finger pretty bad and I came here to get stitches. Every time the staff is so sweet and so amazing that I feel like I must write this review. Prior to coming here today I went to the emergency room at Mad River and had a terrible experience they left me in the waiting room with blood dripping down my arm and made me feel like not OK. When I came here today for my finger I didn't even tell them that, the first thing that they did was to clean me up they brought me a juice box and just made me feel so happy and cared about that words can't even describe how grateful I am for their kindness. I needed a skin flap wound repair and showed up there just before it opened. I was amazed that there were already 7 people in line. Once they opened the doors things went crazy fast. I had a great experience with Redwood Urgent Care's telemedicine option over the weekend. It was the only place open on the weekend within a 100 mile radius of my current location. I knew they wouldn't be able to see me in-person because I was experiencing active symptoms. I was pretty sure it wasn't COVID, but understand the need to take precautions. I emailed the listed email at about 8:45 and had someone call to complete my intake before 10:00. I met with an awesome Nurse Practitioner at about 5:00 who listened to my symptoms, agreed with my suspected diagnosis, and had my prescriptions sent to a pharmacy near my home. Everyone I interacted with from intake through the appointment was kind, understanding, and answered all of my questions. If I ever need urgent care again while I'm in this area, I would definitely go back to them without question. read more

Reading another review on yelp I emailed the clinic for a telehealth call. The pre ious reviewer was spot on, they got back to me quickly, and called in the afternoon. After the consult, it wa s determined that I come to the clinic in 2 days for a mor thorough exam/review. The in person experience was as positive as the telehealth call. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, funny, and very kind. The dr. Moulton was really great, made me feel comfortable and important as a patient; wish she was available as a primary provider. I would highly recommend redwood urgent care for those emergency needs.
