Really fun local track to play! Affordable after 3 pm, but pricey for the accommodations if you play before 3. Greens were absolutely pristine, maybe best I've played in DFW this spring. Tee boxes could use work but really who cares, greens & fairways are what's important. PLEASE GET A MARSHALL. What happened to this place? It used to be an amazing little gem. My wife and I went there recently and the golf course has fallen in such disrepair that it wasn't enjoyable to golf. Fairways are horrible and the rough is atrocious, and I don't mean in a good way. It was nothing but weeds, dirt and mud. We used to love this place. Sadly, this will be our last time. Really enjoying Sunday evening date nights here! It's very chill and laid back. Nice driving range and short range. The bar lady and staff are always friendly! Nothing fancy but it's super relaxing and enjoyable would highly recommend just to get out and practice. They offer lessons and memberships too. Haven't jumped in membership but it's nice to walk up and grab a basket, a drink and just swing! read more

Ball washers were mostly inoperable, cart path was a time bomb, and the carts didn't even have coolers. If this were $59-$69, then we are talking about something different. ARCIS courses overage for what they provide. If you are going to spend $80+, there are better places to play. read more

First off, I would like to say my husband has played here for years. As of recently, their service has declined. Pace of play is terrible, it takes an hour to play 2 holes. You easily get stuck behind groups of 5 teeing off and taking forever. My husband tried to tee off at 10am, there was a group of 7 coming off hole 1 and nobody coming off hole 9. We tried to pass and play the back 9 first since nobody was there; and a club worker told us we cannot do this. He explained, there was a group of 7 holding up everyone but he did not care. He did not try to even help marshal the other group or the flow. Because of this we did not get to finish our round, and this happens each time we play here now. Needs a marshal, or some sort of regulation. At the VERY LEAST do not let groups bigger than 4 play off the tee! read more

This is such a shame. The owners of this course don't seem to put much money into it. Great course but lousy pro shop and diner. The bathrooms have been under construction for over a year and consistently are flooded. They offer a membership but are consistently out of range balls and when talking to those in the pro shop, this is becoming an all to common occurrence because management is not allocating funds to fix broken or very old equipment. They also are spending no money on completing any remodeling or finishing work. Such a shame as this could be a gem of a place. The course is unique in that it has numerous challenging holes that make you use all the clubs in the bag. Hate to see what management has turned this into. What a shame!! read more

The clubhouse and course are both in poor condition that seems to deteriorate every year. The quality of this place declines pretty quickly. Dry course in the middle of a hot summer, unkept course, and outdated clubhouse. Not worth the $$$ it costs to golf here. I'd rather go to the trails. read more

This is a tight golf course through a residential neighborhood. Houses on both sides of most fairways. Greens had some pretty rough areas and sand traps were full of rocks. Fairways were pretty clean. The starter was really nice and welcoming. Had fun but have payed less money for better courses. read more

I went there for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. The course is in excellent shape. The fairways are a little tight, and there is a lot of water, so it definitely favors those with accuracy rather than distance. But we had a real fun time. Check in was smooth and contactless. You do need to pre-pay online. Carts were in good shape and clean. Speed of play was appropriate for a weekday afternoon. I got 18 holes in and my son and I loved it! read more

Very poor quality golf course, ran by an even worse manager Ross. All employees complain about him, runs of all great employees & regular golfers. Always has a problem with something. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND golfing here. Only reason this course has survived is due to the maintenance guy that works day in & day out trying to keep it the greens maintained. Remodeling the club house has taken over 2 years bathroom is half ripped out, range is always matts only. Poorly ran by an even worse manager Ross. Oh & If you want to drink try $8 fireball shooters & $6 beers DO NOT COME SPEND MONEY ELSEWHERE!! read more

Do not come here. For the price it's okay, but don't expect less than 6 hours for a round. There's no marshall, no starter, and no expectation to play at any speed other than whatever you feel like doing. We teed off at 10:45, and called it quits at 2:25 on the 14th hole (tee box, not after 14) upon seeing the group in front of us had not even teed off yet. And then, the guy at the front desk had the gall to say "we clocked the last group at 2:15 on the back nine". I don't know what units of time he was using, but it sure as hell wasn't regular hours and minutes. We would've been lucky to finish before 4:00. Would not recommend until some serious changes are made in either management, or pace management. read more

Where to start.... Read all the other reviews. They are spot on. We played this place on Sunday. We started at 1:00pm. Couldn't even make it to hole 10. The greens looked like a football field. Absolutely terrrrrible. This course for the money it cost to play is a travesty. This course should be 5 dollars or less period. Beers cost about 6 bucks a piece! It cost us roughly 50 to play. It is by far the worst organized course. It is a total rip off. We literally sat for 15 minutes on each hole. You could go anywhere else for cheaper and get a better bang for your buck. It is not worth more then $5 bucks to play. Period. read more

This review is only for the driving range and putting area. I've been here a few times, but have yet tog get out on the actual course. The driving range is well prices and don't be intimidated by the fact that there is no net separating you from the road. It would take one heck of a crazy hook (from a righty) to get one to hit a car passing by. It can get crowded on good weathered days and in the evenings, you are driving right in to the sun so it is harder to track your ball. As for the putting surfaces, they are in decent condition and there is also a chipping area. Parking here is easy and they have great twilight specials. Plantation used to be a solid, very reasonably priced course in the metroplex. Now it is easily one of the worst I've played. Played it this week and the greens are in the worst shape that I have ever seen, even worse than punched greens believe it or not. The course is also having some sort of irrigation issues, course is puddled and soaked when it hasn't rained in over a week. We had started our round at 3:30 and did not even get to finish the full 18 because they are stacking tee times as well. I have been here 3 times. Today was the last straw. I was in a pissing match with the gentleman who was mowing the tee boxes. For 10 holes, he wouldn't pass us. Absolute harassment the whole time. Asked him to pass us and he would just look away. Worst round of golf i have ever had. I will never be back. Asked about being comped 9 holes and they said no. I would never recommend this course to anyone let alone my golf league. read more

The course is decent. It's the first course that I've seen in awhile that doesn't discount after punching their greens. Most in the area usually discount 20% within a week or two of punching. No mention of the green condition when checking in and didn't find out until the first green. When mentioned after the round, the explanation was pretty much a shrug of the shoulders. Also, one of the only Arcis courses that don't provide a military/veteran discount. Two other courses that I've played provides a 25% discount. read more

This course used to be good. The customer service, course conditions and clubhouse have gone downhill. Today they wouldn't honor the rate I booked on their website. They gave me a choice of paying the full rate or going somewhere else. My group of golfers have no plans to return until management changes and conditions improve. read more

My father and I are regulars at this golf course. The pro shop employees are very helpful and very apologetic if there is a misunderstanding about something, or if your experience was not up to their standards. You will get refunded or get heavily discounted, depending on the severity. Sure, after we get a hefty rain, it is a little wet and squishy, but it usually is fenced off. The marshals are very friendly and most always ask how your golf game is going and ask if there is anything they can do. This place never stops to amaze us with their friendliness. We will never stop coming back here. This is my family's go-to golf course and we have played over 15 gold courses in North Texas. read more

it is one of the best courses I have ever played. the course is beautiful and we'll take. care of. the greens are beautiful and are always green. even in the heat of the summer the course is in beautiful condition. it is a little pricey to pay but it is worth it. if you get a membership than it costs even less. the range is in great shape and there is always good grass to hit off of. I think they should charge a little less but overall it is one of the best courses in the DFW area. read more

I agree with the person who commented before me. the bunkers were rock hard. But you know the best way to fix that? Dont hit the ball into them! I thought the fairways and greens were both in terrific shape. Nevermind that it is in Texas where it's 100+ EVERYDAY with no rain! I played yesterday morning and thought it was a steal for $34 at 9:07am. I cant believe people complain about paying $34 for a round of golf. I just moved here from San Diego and $34 out there will get you 2 buckets of balls... seriously Texans stop crying you don't know how good you've got it! The guy in the pro shop was very friendly and although it took him a minute longer than normal to ring me up it wasn't a big deal. We played and I was absolutely shocked at how nice it was. Seriously. We didn't have anyone in front of us until the 15th hole and those 3 old guys wouldnt let us play through (wtf?) . But other than that it was a great course and I will definitely be back! MUST PLAY course in the area. read more

Tough to give a fair number of stars but the bad is more than the good. The good is better than average putting surfaces, slightly better than average fairways and reasonably average tees. The course is fair, but only if you've played the course before. But the bad is highlighted by the miserably slow play on the weekends. I quit at nine holes and the rest quit after ten. The golf shop said five hours is normal and the water hazards made it tough. He mentioned marshals but we saw none. He said they send messages to slow players on the GPS. It didn't work. The sand traps are awful. Not really sand, something of a dull grey something. The were four to five inch disks of something like concrete in all traps, not good if you don't see them before your shot. I'm an Eagle Card golfer but I've got to rethink the overall cost as I will not come back to Plantation. Five hour rounds drive people away from golf, not to it. I won't return. We play other Eagle Golf (now Arcis) courses every weekend and haven't suffered such slow play. They offered no apology (only excuses) and no offers of replay, not even for nine holes. read more

This was an amazing experience today,the course was in perfect condition and the staff was amazing, Inside the pro shop James behind the counter greeted me with a smile on his face, when coming back from 18 I pulled my cart into the return area and was asked how my round was by Chris J I told him that it was a great time but not a great score and he said "Don't be down on yourself every start of something new is bumpy over time it will smooth out just gotta have confidence" and it stuck with me and I can't thank The staff enough for the awesome experience! read more

This review would be one star except I had fairly decent customer service due to a buddy showing up late and the clubhouse staff accommodating us by driving him out to the 3rd hole and then letting us play 1 and 2 after we finished 18. That's where the good things end. We have not had significant rain in many days, yet there were numerous, large muddy areas near the greens and elsewhere. The tee boxes are very rounded and were very firm. Tough to get a tee into in many cases. The bunkers are horrible! Either wet with very dense, packed sand, gravelly, or overgrown with grass. Very poor compared to other courses. Used one on-course bathroom. Toilet was broken. Zero sand in sand bottles on cart, and zero sand bottles at sand refill station after the turn. Cart girl, if that's what she was, was a middle-aged woman sitting in the cart parked just past the 9th green. Did not drive the course. Greens were not great. Still recovering from poa annua. Also, the greens themselves are the most boring and flat of any course I've played, including Lake Park. Fairways did not look well watered, the mow job was pretty weak, the cart paths have many areas in disrepair, and the spillway is cracked in several places. Cost for a prime time round on a Saturday was $54. That is frankly ridiculous given the conditions of this course. This course, with these conditions, should be priced the same as Lake Park, which is only $36 for weekend prime time. ARCIS, the company managing this course, and Lake Park, used to manage our course here in Carrollton. In my opinion, ARCIS did a very poor job running our course and their management contract was not renewed. ARCIS now appears to be facilitating the demise of this Frisco amenity which could be so much better. I highly recommend Frisco's city council and citizen's take back their course and find a new management company. One place to look is Pecan Hollow, a Plano municipal golf course that is not too far away. They are doing it right over there. read more

Course design is very boring and monotonous; most holes are straight. The course does not drain well and I ended up playing in the water, almost literally. I had to move my ball at least 30% of the time due to the casual water. It gets 2 stars only because service was decent and the staff was polite. I would not pay more than $20 to play Plantation. read more

Pace of play is unbearable, had a tee time for 5 and didn't get off till 5:30 then spent 3 and a half hours just to get to hole 10. The fairways are not beginner friendly being extremely shallow, along with bad irrigation. The greens are okay at the moment, and the food their is very greasy so be prepared for a heart attack mid backswing. read more

The whole course is strung with litter. Hole 16 has a tree cut up on the west side of the fairway. It's been there for months.

Booked a tee time at the golf course, and after driving 45 min to get there, they cannot accommodate the golf carts. They did absolutely nothing and stated they were too busy. Drove all this way and didn't get to play. Won't be back to this golf course. Staff did not try and do anything about the situation as they couldn't care less. read more

I live around this golf course. At 6am all you hear is leaf blowers. Yes, a maintenance guy with a flashlight and a leaf blower cleaning up at 6am. These people have no consideration for the people that live around in this neighborhood and near the clubhouse. read more
