We were provided 3 planners to help us with the coordination, but they did not do a good job. According to my family and guests, they didn't know where to put the gifts/envelopes during the reception. Also, when the guests left, some of them did not get their wedding favors, which was heartbreaking because I put a lot of thought into them. Overall, the guests were not coordinated properly, and were not directed clearly. There was a very unfortunate incident that happened: halfway through our reception, a power outage occurred. The venue had absolutely no back up for the power outage. With no electricity or AC, the wedding reception was ended earlier than anticipated time. The total reception was supposed to be 4 hours, but the power outage occurred 2 hours in. The venue made sure to point us to the contact, which stated that the venue was not responsible for a power outage. It is disappointing that they did not have any fan or any type of back up plan for a power outage. The wedding was in July and it was HOT. They ended up compensating about 10% of the total amount we paid (1 hour worth of event). Our guests were gracious enough to stay about an hour after the power outage occurred, but the venue counted that. This wasn't fair because one of the main reasons everyone stayed is that the venue led us to believe that the power might come back. It wasn't until we got confirmation from a police officer that the power was not coming back, that we seriously considered ending the event early. Aside from the compensation, I was disappointed and devastated in regards to the owners attitude and response to the incident. Yes, I got a small amount of money back, but I couldn't even utilize the photo booth, DJ, and music because of the loss of electricity. Thankfully, I hired the DJ to prepare a full backdrop of light, otherwise we would have sat in complete darkness. It was a good thing that I did not rely 100% on the wedding for lighting. I do want to say one good thing about Sara, my coordinator. I really appreciated Sara for all of her work. She was very flexible and tried to meet all of my needs. She was always available and remembered things that I needed and mentioned. If it wasn't for Sara, this venue would deserve 1 star. Due to Sara's hard work, I will give 2 stars. If it wasn't for incident and the venue's terrible service, this place would have been a decent place for a wedding.

The owner, Paula, was so kind and generous through the entire process. She was always easy to get in touch with and is genuinely a kind person who cared about our experience. We appreciated the value and simplicity of a venue with a package that had so much included in the price. Paula and her crew were "all hands on deck" before, during, and after our event and we didn't have to lift a finger. She made the venue beautiful for our event and put our minds at ease. I understand it is supposed to be secluded, but my advice would be to call ahead and talk to someone there who can guide you, because all the county roads show up under different names in the GPS and Internet world. The people there are really nice and attentive to your needs. Provided you have a need when there is an open bar at the wedding, mariachis, a DJ, and a frickin' ICE CREAM BAR. Not an Ice Cream "Bar" like a rocket pop...but a bar where you can go and load up on as much Ice Cream as you WANT...man...my inner fat kid was sated, you have any idea how hard that is to do?! Awesome idea to whoever came up with that. The outside are where the reception was held was gorgeous, lots of shade due to the big beautiful trees. In the evening they would turn on the hanging lights that were strung up throughout the yard and it was really nice. The dance floor was nice, seeing as I can't dance for crap..I would give it a 5/5 because it's been as good as any dance floor I might have stared at longingly. The food was good, we started with salads that were really good. The lettuce was crisp and it had peanuts in it, they served bowls of ranch and a vinaigrette I want to say. I had the ranch, but my friend had the vinaigrette and really enjoyed it so that's all I have to say about that. The entree was a chicken in mushroom sauce I wanna say. I just remember it was a little cold because we were greeting the wedding party when it was served so the wind got the better of it. It was still pretty great, oddly enough I remember the carrots served with it the best because I wanted more haha. The night went on and the servers kept the tables managed really well, you didn't have crap strewn all over the place which happens a lot at weddings I've been too. So good job on keeping it clean. We were shooed out at 10 pm, and lots of photos were taken. Overall it was a wonderful and amazing reception, but I can't rate it on my company and the wedding couple alone.

Zero lighting outside was awkward for everyone trying to park and walk to their cars. Everyone was mentioning that. As a former restaurant owner I know they're just asking for a liability lawsuit with their pitch dark grounds. I get wanting to maintain ambiance but on a dark night at least some soft lighting so you can see where you're walking is necessary. The food was good, and well presented, but salt less. When I asked one of the staff for Salt I was told they didn't have any. (?!) "Any? Not in the whole entire house?" Finally a lady brought out 1 set. (For 50+ people?) If you're not going to provide those silverware sets that include the little salt and pepper packages, go to Hobby Lobby and get those sets of multiple crystal miniature salt and pepper sets. An expense of probably about $30 to have a set for each table. The hostess was beautiful and the place is beautiful but I like my events to flow as smoothly as possible so the focus can be on the reason for celebrating and not on the disorganization.

We were blown away by the service provided by owner and proprietor Meloney and her staff. This is a family owned business who really cares about their clients. They made sure our rehearsal ran smoothly and the day-of went off without a hitch. The BBQ provided by Watson's was delicious! We had the smoked chicken, sausage and smoked Mac n cheese. 'Deeserts' who created our wedding cake did a phenomenal job as well! We had lemon and almond cake in a 3 tier naked cake style and Meloney used fresh flowers to decorate - gorgeous! Everyone one was raving about the food and cake - I don't think we had a single piece left over because everyone went back for seconds. The Hall was gorgeous with chandeliers, a charming sweetheart table, a whiskey barrel cake table and linens and centerpieces provided (we filled the little vases and jars with loose flowers we brought ourselves). For a fee of $600 you're allowed to bring all your own alcohol and bartenders and security are provided. We were also able to take home all unused alcohol. We also booked the cottage for myself and my 6 bridesmaids to stay in the night before and day-of leading up to the wedding and I'm so glad we did! It was so stress free to just have everyone onsite and for just $300 it slept up to 8 people with wine and breakfast provided. Large full bath and plenty of cute picture opportunities in here as well. There's a charming grooms suite that my husband and his boys were able to hang out in prior tot he ceremony - beautiful wood and leather elements. We signed a contract and were told we needed to pay a $400 deposit upfront, and the remaining $600 would be due on the day of the event. We agreed and paid the deposit. Today (March 18), the owner contacted my mom demanding the remaining balance be paid immediately--about two weeks earlier than what was originally agreed upon. When we politely explained that we were told the balance was due on the event date, she stopped responding and blocked my mom and sister. I attempted to contact her through multiple methods (calls, messages, WhatsApp) but was ignored. When I finally reached her from another phone, I requested a refund since communication had been cut off and the service was no longer being provided. She refused to issue any refund. She later claimed the cancellation was a misunderstanding about a no-alcohol policy, but there was never any intention to break rules--only a simple question was asked. At this point, we are out $400 and left without a venue just two weeks before our event. I'm sharing this so others can be aware and cautious when booking. I don't usually post things like this, but I feel the situation was handled very unprofessionally.

I planned my best friends wedding here in May, and it was an okay experience. Communication was a bit rough, but at the end of the day we made it work. They had switched coordinators from the venue twice, and then we had a completely different person in charge the day-of the wedding, which is a big no no for me. BUT, I am glad I was there for my friend throughout since I knew exactly how she wanted things done, set up, etc. The day of the wedding, I was allowed to access the venue at 12:00 PM, which was good for last minute prep since we were allowed access the day prior. They do allow you to have candles, but they have to be in water. In other words, they have to be floating candles. For the send off, they do allow sparklers which is AWESOME! But good luck trying to turn them on with that oh so delicious sea breeze that blows in the patio. Also, outside vendors are permitted, but have to provide the people in charge with their licenses (cake vendors, etc.) They do have a preferred vendors list, but I am sure they still allow other vendors to come in (friend signed her contract in 2014). I love the venue, the location, ample parking space, and lovely staff members. Will be back in November for another wedding, am looking forward to this set up!
