If you ever driven along A1A in this area you would notice this plaza for its domed sky mural that sits over a fountain and is ringed by palm trees. At night the mural is illuminated. The shopping center was built in 1966 and renovated and partially redeveloped in 1996 and 2005. Anchors include Publix, a CVS Pharmacy and a Dollar Tree. Other businesses include First Watch, Sushi Runner, Dunkin', Edward Jones, Simply Golf, Liquors & Lounge, Executive Offices, Patchington, and Very Boutiquey. Sea Ranch Centre is near the gated residential community of Sea Ranch Lakes and the bordering city of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It serves as a place where the luxury hi-rise ocean front condominiums and hotels can get there every day errands done like grocery shopping or grabbing a quick meal. It is so helpful to have a Publix at the beach. An added bonus is the ease of parking.

Lots of places to get burgers, sushi, pizza, etc. If you choose to take public transportation, the BCT bus #11 will stop right in front of the shopping center.

The project includes 337 apartments, a 137-room hotel, a 647-space parking garage, and retail stores on Federal Highway in the Flagler Village neighborhood of Ft. Lauderdale. Part of Quantum Flagler Village sits on the site of the now-demolished Tropicana Motel, a notorious property that attracted drug dealers and homeless people in the 1990's. One of the first episodes of the TV show "Cops" was filmed behind the motel. I love how this project is bringing new life to this part of Ft. Lauderdale. I came to try out Hatch, a trendy breakfast and lunch restaurant. After eating brunch I discovered some hanging swing chairs in front of the garage that were perfect for relaxing after a filling meal. Not a lot of Quantum at Flagler Village is open yet but I can see it beginning to take shape and I like what I see.

Due to the geometry of the plaza, it is difficult to view most of the businesses from Pine Island Rd and they are also set far back. In addition, some are blocked by the McDonalds outparcel. Today, my wife and I parked on the North end of the parking lot and ordered take out pizza at the NY Pizza Place which was excellent. Rob's Bageland recently closed down and Mr Baker is coming soon in the same bay. My experience in the plaza was good with many options, but could argue the odd configuration of the parking lot.
