It used to be a reliable place to get any type of building supplies at decent used quality for a "this has definitely been used" price. Now it's wildly overpriced. This review is almost more for me to remember to stop driving down to Boulder to try shopping here. Example: selling the 15gal barrels they receive their deicing salt in for winter - for $15. Barrels seem to be priced at $1/gal now, even when they're deformed or broken. So expect to pay $5 for a 5-gal bucket, $35 for a 35gal can and $50 for a 55gal. Saw $45 for a utility sink made of the same cheap plastic as Walmart Adirondack chairs - not the older, indestructible molded utility sink type. Bent and broken rakes and shovels for $5-20. It's just wild. Pieces of pallets are priced as though they're new stock lumber, and they don't even list the lumber prices anymore (were they to have any, which they didn't)... with the way everything else is priced, there's no way I'll even bother checking. At this point it's cheaper and more reliable to buy new from Home Depot which is beside the point of this place and it sucks!! The quality of used goods did not improve in the past 2 years, so why the price tripled is beyond me, but it's not worth it. Bye, Resource Central. I really loved you while you were affordable. From start to finish Jody and her team were wonderful to work with--they were highly knowledgeable, professional, communicative, and responsive, and took the time to make sure everything was designed and completed to a high standard. This project is something we'd been wanting to do for years, and it came out better than we could have imagined! We had a lot of different goals for what's a fairly small front yard with quite a bit of shade: we wanted an attractive design that would reduce water use and maintenance needs, support pollinators throughout the full growing season, create a firebreak near the house, have a nice space for our kids to enjoy, and add some edible plants/berries/herbs if possible. Wild Heritage went above and beyond in delivering on all of these criteria, and it's a strong testament to their experience, passion, and deep knowledge of landscape design, sustainable planting, water management, and construction. Our new front yard has quickly become a favorite place for our whole family to spend time, and our kids love running around the path, sitting on the rocks, watching bumblebees and ladybugs, and admiring each new flower that blooms. Our 6-year-old son now asks to go outside with us every night to read on the patio and is beyond excited to pick strawberries, gooseberries, honeyberries, and cherries as the plants grow and mature. In an industry seemingly full of tree professionals who would rather not talk to people, Matt's communication is a ray of sunshine. I went with another company for a completely unrelated reason and I will absolutely call Matt up for future tree care. Because of the timing of the job I am not able to speak to pricing in comparison to other tree care companies I talked to.
