NONE of my guest had any complaints and are very happy with how much food and variety there is! When they say buffet, they mean buffet lol as much as you can eat. I love the hummus and chicken lol. People everything was freshly made! Security was on it! He was amazing very friendly but firm. If you not on the list you ain't going in and thank god because there was some that wanted to sneak in but he did his job wonderfully. The staff here are great! I've seen the negative comments but I didn't see that at all the day of! They were kind, very helpful, and were making sure everything was going great. So to the staff, Thank you very much! The photographer took some beautiful pictures they are high quality. Yes you pay to keep the pictures. We did let our guest know ahead of time. I hope she didn't take it personal because I know how my guest are and they just don't like their pictures being taken unless it's someone they know. Besides that the pictures she took are very pretty and are good memories to keep. You don't have to worry about cleanliness because they are on top of it . Every area was always clean ! There is a large parking lot so it's easy to find a spot located behind the venue, but you have to walk around towards the front to enter as there's no way through the lot. Inside is large and gives a very fancy and luxurious feel!! Went here for a big group gathering and the entrance lobby includes bathrooms and a couple of large lounge chairs with a main chandelier at the front. Inside in the hall is even more beautiful with a grand banquet carpeted room & a medium-sized white marble dance floor. Lots of tables can fit inside here and hold a large gathering. Vibes are definitely for special occasions.The details of the walls are unique where it looks like there are balconies on the second level. Multiple chandeliers hanging from above on the ceiling. I had my daughters 15 here. The banquet hall itself is beautiful and people liked the food. My issue is the lack of respect for the customer and the importance of this day for us! The wait staff was very rude, my daughter performed at her quinceañera and the servers kept walking IN FRONT of her with dirty dishes while she sang!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I asked them to stop doing that and to go around, they spoke to each other off to the side and just kept doing it!! They just do not care!!! The owner got visibly upset because I was adamant that he was not allowed to have his own photographer selling pictures to my guests. I had seen that at other 15's and asked him if he did it there he said yes. I said I didn't want it at mine and I made him write it on the contract they would not do that! Glad I did because other users also asked the same but the owner still did it anyway. PUT IT IN YOUR CONTRACT! Before you sign your contract that is when you need to ask for all your specific requests because once you pay a deposit the owner is quick to say "NO" even to simple requests. All and all we made it through, but I hate that my video is ruined with those rude servers ignoring me and walking in front of our ceremonies and my daughter singing. read more

Rounding up from 4.5 to 5 stars. We were invited guests for a quinceañera reception several months ago. As a Ventura County resident, I am not that familiar with many banquet halls out this way. I'd never heard of Platinum Banquet Hall until we attended the special event. The theme for the party was Cinderella-like, and this venue fit the bill. It's very elegant in an over-the-top, but charming way. I did a lot of smiling as we were early to arrive at the hall and had time to study the architecture and decorations. Always nice to be surprised with a unique facility like this one. Everything appeared clean and well cared for; bonus points! There is a large parking lot in the back. The banquet hall shares a large building with other businesses, so there is competition for parking. It's big-box style - each entity has it's own separate entrance under a common roof. The food was served buffet style, with lots of options. It's difficult to get a restaurant-like taste experience when serving more than a hundred people with a buffet, but I enjoyed the dishes I tried. The staff dished up the menu items for the guests - just let them know what you wanted to add to your plate. They were all very professional, as was the bartender. Loved the large dance floor and chance to use it! Our toddler granddaughter had a blast out on the floor - a dancing queen is born! Platinum Banquet Hall is clean, elegant, and very spacious--it can accommodate a lot of guests. The party we attended was from 4-11 PM. I think they should let guests enjoy their food a little longer and not be so quick to remove plates and glasses while people are still eating and drinking. The food overall wasn't bad, but there is a lot of room for improvement. They could offer the same dishes but add more flavor. I heard some guests complain about the food quality, but in the end, we didn't come for the food--we came to celebrate the birthday girl. The most important thing is that she was very happy and enjoyed her party to the fullest. Every celebration is different--what matters most to one family might not be as important to another. Originally, I thought Arthur was a very nice man and seemed to be very classy businessman. I was thanking him at point but he was two faced. Arthur broke our contract. We checked the NO PHOTOS because we had provided our own paid photographer and videographer. We did not give permission for him to greedily hustle, our family, and friends on such a sacred private event. It took us two years to plan out our traditional family/religious event for our daughter's Quinceanera. It was a meaningful celebration we'd been anticipating for 15 years. Arthur had a photographer going around, charging our guests for photos like people do restaurants. With no regard that this was a once and a lifetime memory for Us our daughter and our guests. Our guest thought the money collected would be going to our daughter's college fund or a future vehicle. They expressed feeling pressured and awkwardly violated. They were upset for it never being mentioned in the invites or by us parents or other family and friends. A majority of our 200+ guest paid for Photos that they were pressured to buy and very shocked to find out that they were being charged for them to begin with, unknowingly until the pictures were brought to their tables. They were lied to, and they were fooled. We and our guest were financially exploited, just so that Arthur could underhandedly make more money off of us and our guest and at our supposed to be cherished celebration. After we paid a contracted amount for the event to be private. It was very embarrassing for us when we were confronted days after the quinceanera that the photographer was very pushy to get money from from our attendees and did not notify our guest that the proceeds were not going to our daughter. It was underhanded and tacky. Our Padrino's and Padrina's were insulted. As they thought we were doing this collection of money for photos. We did not know nor did we give permission for that to happen. We were never even asked if we would consider something like this. We were told only that the venue would be giving us a free photo of the court. Our videos and photos were ruined as we can see this woman hunched over hustling table to table in the back ground in both video and photos. If this happened to you too. It is criminal to exploit a family for money like this and lowlife to use a teenagers dream day to exploit private family and guests. We plan on bringing our proof and witnesses to court to settle this. If it happened to you which I'm sure it did. You are not alone and Arthur should be held responsible for this scandal. Us parents save for these celebrations for a lifetime memory not for a business to take advantage of us. This is only the worse part of our unsatisfied experience. Plus the food is stretch army food. Nothing what we value we paid for.There were 4 staffs very nice staff (the manager that day) and the rest were rude and mean and ruined our custom cakes we brought in. We are sickened by Arthur and the whole experience. I attended a quinceañera a few weeks ago here and I have to say that as a guest I really liked the venue. It is spacious, lot of room for tables as well as a big dance floor. I liked the way the food was set up. It was buffet style and the guest would make a line and the waiters would place the food on your plate. This is a really nice banquet hall to have a party and as a guest I really enjoyed my experience here. Security: the security there was friendly when we arrived and they had the guest list so they told us what table we would be seated at. Once most of the guests had arrived which was around 10pm the security was inside their office just sitting with the door open but not patrolling around. Parking: there is a lot in the back which is for the plaza. We parked there because the banquet hall is part of the plaza. read more

I give Arthur a good 5 star for his customer service but man I was super disappointed. I did my daughters quinceañera last month had the hall until midnight brought an outdoor vendor and let me tell you not just I had a bad experience so did my guest . To start we got kicked out by the staff by 10 I paid thousands of dollars to have the hall certain hours that was until MIDNIGHT! Staff kept removing rebutting from the table you couldn't even go to the restroom for 5 minutes cuz your food was gone even if the plate was full . Knowing that we had outside vendors with drinks they had the audacity to throw our full cups . Father daughter dance workers were straight out just passing by the dance floor . Everything else was nice the food was good can't complain . I went to a quinceañera here. The venue itself was nice and very elegant. Unfortunately the location was very sketchy. I felt uncomfortable parking my car there. There were homeless people roaming around everywhere. The food provided by them was very poor too. No flavor at all. No one in my table ate their food and I personally felt secondhand embarrassment for the guests. Our table ended up ordering food at the Mexican restaurant next door. I attended a wedding this past weekend and I have to say the hall looks pretty nice inside with all the LED lights , up lights against the wall and chandeliers. A few walls could be painted, some scratches, paint falling off but could be easily covered with some kind of furniture. Some of the staff were kind of rude but most kept up with refilling sodas checking up on the attendees, etc. Only downfall is the parking and the way you enter. The banquet hall has its main entrance off the busy main street in front and the parking is through the rear which shares parking with the outdoor mall. You have to pass a Mexican restaurant in order to get to the front of the banquet hall. Not a big deal. I'm giving it for Stars for the route employees and the parking. But it is amazing to see how the banquet hall looks knowing this location used to be a movie theater! read more

Hey everyone, I just had my wedding at Platinum Banquet Hall last month and I have to say that I am impressed by their service. This was a beautiful large hall that is perfect for 200 guests. If you're wondering about the lighting, it is beautiful. Not to dark for taking photos with friends and family. The food is all you can eat since it is a buffet. My family loves to eat and they were satisfied by the amount of food. Is it crowded? Not really, there is enough spacing to fit a lot of people. The service was wonderful. My guests were catered to by nice waiters. I noticed the waiters kept checking up on the guests which was great! No guest was left ignored. Now, if you are planning on showing a video during your event, I'd recommend burning a DVD and make sure it works. We had a minor issue with our video montage, but luckily the DVD worked. There is free parking at the back, and it can hold a lot of people. Though the parking area does not look that nice...the banquet hall is what truly matters! I had a party around 2 months ago and It was my wedding. My fiance and I came down to see the place and it was amazing. All the colors of the lights and the set up in the dining room was amazing. The gentlemen helped us in the office and everything we understood in the contract clearly. On the day of my wedding, everything was amazingly set up with cake table and fruit table. The food line up and the service crew were very polite and amazing service from A to Z. The food was so delicious and cooked well. The manager was on the floor and checking everything every single time to be perfect. I see a bad comment here which does not match with my experience. I loved loved loved this hall..... I recently had my wedding here in march 10 2018. This hall is spacious and the light effects were great. The servers were super attentive and very polite. We hired their bartenders and they were on point. They let you have an open bar you just supply tje alcohol. The security was good too. Everything was perfect i got alot of compliments from all of our guests... At the end of the party the servers cleaned everything even helped us bring down all of the center pieces from the tables. We selected this location after visiting multiple venues and attending several parties/Quinceaneras in the surrounding San Fernando/Los Angeles area. Platinum Banquet Hall was the best in terms of value, service, and professionalism. From the outside the Platinum Banquet Hall may not have the best appeal, but once you are inside you are swept away into an entirely different world. The owner, manager, and staff were extremely accommodating in making sure the event ran smoothly. They even provided a photographer to help us capture all the special moments. Security was provided to ensure the safety of all our guests. All the guests could not stop raving about the event from the service to the food to the decorations. The guests were already asking when will we be back to have the next event for my younger daughter. All we can say is we will definitely be back. This review is WAY late - we had my daughter's XV here in June 2017, I know (I'm sorry) but given that I'm in search of a venue again for kiddo #2, I figured I'd share my experience from 2 years ago. PROS - Venue is VERY spacious, with plenty of free parking in the back. My package came with a free cake (delicious), free fruit table (delicious) and a free limo (Horrible limo, with broken AC and torn seats. My poor daughter and her friends were miserable in it). Gentlemen were always available when they said they would be. This was the most econimically friendly venue of the 5-7 we checked out CONS - The wait staff was loud during the speeches, cleaning up dishes and talking very loudly. The free limo they provided, was THEE worst. No AC, torn seats with no seat covers. They started cleaning up our stuff around 11:15pm, eventhough we had the venue booked until midnight. The food was NOT good at all. I was not given the option of having a more American menu, and was told the menu was as is, and not given the option of a tasting. If you want to bring in your own alcohol, you have to pay for their bartender, $200, and you must also pay for their security $200. Also, make sure you tell them you don't want their photographer roaming your party, (thank you previous reviewer who mentioned that!), otherwise there will be someone there taking pictures of your guests and then selling them the prints! I REALLY wish they would have blown me out of the water, considering that I have 4 daughters who all want XVaneras, and having a relationship with a hall would have made the process a whole lot better. read more

The thing that drew me to them was how beautiful the venue looks. The second thing was the price. The price was really fair and in my budget whichwas good because I wanted to have a little extra money for my honeymoon. The manager Gary was a class act from beginning to end, from helping us set up the candy table to orchestrating the staff to perform at their best and make this night an unforgettable event.
