What started out as a "let's clean out the garage" after 30 years I presented to my husband, and also wanting to fix a crack running down the middle of the concrete slab that was unsightly, we decided to hire a company to fix the crack only, thinking we would then put those heavy duty click on tiles over it, or paint the concrete, or some other way to disguise the patch job. We finally decided this was NOT a DIY project that we would be happy with. Upon hearing of Platinum Property Services from some friends who had hired them to epoxy their garage floors, and seeing the photos of the finished job, I immediately called the owner, Scott, at Platinum to see what was involved. Best decision we ever made! First, the price was within our budget, they had every color you could want, and it was a one day job to do the whole thing! We went to the warehouse to see the samples and met Scott. He helped us to find the perfect look we wanted to complete our updated garage and answered all our questions about the entire process. We chose STONE GRAY as our color. We set a date 2 weeks out so it would give us time to complete some unfinished painting of the garage walls. The day before arrival, we moved all items off the floor and out the door (except the washer and dryer which Platinum did for us and came back to move them back in two days later once the floor had cured. There was only a small charge to do that service for us. The day of install, Platinum came out ON TIME, with 2 workers who worked steadily and in just 8 hours completed the whole process. First they patched a few small crack areas, then sanded the entire garage floor with a special sander for concrete, then had a heavy duty vaccum to suck up all the dust. They mixed the epoxy and spread evenly one section at time with the second worker broadcasting (tossing) the flakes covering the epoxy throughout. Then they waited an hour or so for it to harden. Next they used a scraper to knock off the rough edges of the flakes on top, blew the excess off with a blower and last step they applied the clear top coat to give it a sheen and protect it. We could walk on it the next day and the following day everything went back into place and we could drive our car onto it. It's been a little over a week and we are still in awe every time we enter our garage! Gives us such a lift to see what was such a sad eyesore transform into a sparkly bright place that greets us when we come home each day! (Or to do the laundry for that matter!) Scott and his team were easy to work with. Quick scheduling for a quote and they have means that let's you know how many minutes away they are on the day you are to meet them. I appreciate that because I have tons of other things to do that I tend to squeeze in throughout my day. I went with PPS because of the lifetime warranty for the epoxy flooring. Others would only give about 5 years. Daniel did my 3 car tandem garage in day. He explained the whole process to me and didn't need me at all. Edited on 8/28/24 to say that our garage still has a very strong odor, despite paying for a new no/low VOC topcoat. We still cannot close up our garage and must continue to run a fan and have both the large door and side door open. The smell has not dissipated at all like normal chemical smells that get better as the days go by. It smells almost like chlorine. I was told the smell would no longer be detected after 5 days and the maker of the product said this shouldn't be happening. Yet it is and we're stuck with it and can't use our garage for what we need it for. We recently hired this company to put down a new epoxy floor in our garage. It turned out really nice. Unfortunately, the smell of the floor was too strong for what we intended to use the garage floor for (a game room for our son). Tim was very nice and accommodating about this and sent someone out to put a different top coat down to try to seal in the smell. It didn't work as of yet. If we close up the garage without leaving the main door and side door open, it begins smelling like strong solvents (or chlorine type smell). Nobody still wants to spend any time in the garage. That's been a huge bummer. While I really like the owners of the company, the install was a little rushed and we have several questionable areas where the coating is missing. It's okay though for us because it's a garage, not so much concerned about the look as we are the functionality. For people sensitive to smells, be sure to seal off the door from the garage to your home before install. I wish I was told this beforehand because I found myself rushing out to the home improvement store during the install when a very strong odor came wafting through our home. I can still get a faint scent of that same smell if we close up the garage and it's been 30 + days. Just be aware of that. I would never do this install if I were pregnant or had small children in the home without all the prep work needed to be sure the solvent smell cannot leach into the home. As far as integrity goes though, I don't think you'll find more kindness and professionalism than you will find in Tim (who owns the company). I feel like that is so rare these days. read more

You can't go wrong with these guys! I can't recommend them enough. Requested a quote for garage epoxy flooring and was provided a date and time. Scott called a hour or so prior to ensure meeting and arrived on time. He explained the process in great detail (i had no idea how much went into this process). He also showed some pics of other jobs and gave me mulitple ccolor options to choose from. Lastly they do a moisture test, fortunately I was good (there is additional work/cost if moisture is too high). A crew came out on the targeted date and these guys worked!!
