I love Plato's closet there is so many things you can buy and in certain times of the year such as fall for homecoming dresses or spring for prom dresses it is such a nice store for a lot of things that in very good shape and are very cheap. If you are someone who needs something, but you don't want to spend a lot of money consider going here. read more

This place is comical half their items are very worn or stained you bring in new items such as a Victoria Secret bag and new Pink Bearcats shirt and many other items never worn with tags and your offered 3.00 I would think that the store would appreciate new clean items over dingy worn items which I'm probably sure are the employees item read more

In my first experience with Plato's Closet, I would only recommend buying clothes from here because they are inexpensive and you can locate some nice finds. However, if you are trying to sell, I would highly advise looking elsewhere before you get a bad deal for potentially high quality clothing. Just by looking around at some of their questionable shelf merchandise one would assume that PC takes just about anything. In my case, they rejected brand name, rarely worn, business casual clothing which shocked me. For what they did take, they only gave me about twenty two dollars for about eight articles of clothing (A&F, Express, Under Armour, etc.) some of which were more expensive per item than what they gave me in total. In short, making the trip to PC wasn't even worth what they gave me in cash. I was not expecting them to fork over hundreds of dollars or anything but I was absolutely expecting a little bit higher of a return. There are plenty of apps to use nowadays where one can get top dollar for their used or unused clothing, or at least be able to negotiate prices. Plato's closet is a great thrift store, but is falsified by people as a great place to sell unwanted clothing. read more

This place is nice. The prices are more than goodwill and some other thrift shops. With $20.00 in your pocket wit wont go as far. The section was good at this moment. It is not a place I would return to as the pricing is out of reach for what they have. read more

Absolutely horrible place. I walked in with about 30 items, all name brand (Ralph Lauren, Lauren james, Abercrombie, etc), and I made sure they were all in season. Washed, ironed, hung up, some still even had tags. All above Adult Small - Adult Medium. From the time I walked in to the time I left; ALL they did was sit around and talk to each other while I watched. They called me to the counter without even looking at them, and said they couldn't take any because there was wear and tear and KIDS SIZES. NONE OF THE ITEMS WERE KIDS SIZES. When I explained that none of them had any problems or kids sizes, they shrugged and said "idk I didn't look at them." Therefore, I sold them all at another location and made over $100. Never go here. If you value yourself and your money at all, find another place. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. read more

Not sure if customer service is in their vernacular. Three girls behind the counter ignored me while they argued over who would pick up lunch. Then, without even looking at each item, they dismissed my clothes as too old. The next customer, a female, sold the same shirt I brought in, though mine was "outdated." read more

I agree with past reviews. Horrible customer service and they do not look at all of your stuff, especially if you bring in big bags. I'd STRONGLY recommend watching them sort through your clothes to make sure everything is considered. I also think they judge you on your appearance, so dress nicely! I've only purchased clothes from Plato's Closet, so I can't comment on what it's like to sell to them, but my shopping experience there was very good. It is amazing to see the high-quality items of clothing that wealthy suburban girls get rid of! Service is not stellar--just OK, but they have a huge, well-organized selection of clothes and accessories and *great* prices. You'll pay more than the $2 that the Salvation Army or Goodwill will charge for a shirt (anywhere from $4 to $8), but you don't have to do as much searching to find quality items. read more

WORST experience I've ever had. Brought a couple bags to them to sell. They said they'll send me a text after it's finished and I never received the text, heard nothing after waiting for 1.5 hour and came back to the store myself, they gave almost everything back to me and asked me to take them to Clothes Mentor which is one of their other store takes more business casual stuff, but 80% if mine is casual T-shirt's, drove to the other store, waited another half hour, and they took nothing because the associates said my stuff would be good at Plato's Closet, she doesn't understand why they send me here. A lot of the legwork could be saved if you can open the bags and do your job to go through them. Last time coming here. read more

This place is not even worth the gas to being your clothes in. They have a lot of good finds but their selection on what they buy is awful! I've brought in new Hollister, forever 21 items, and they have rejected it. There are holes in a lot of their shirts that are in really bad condition and stains all over everything! The buyers shoe taste is also quite odd. Buy clothes from here don't sell them. read more

I downloaded this app only to write about my ridiculous my experience with this Plato's closet is. I have had many bad experiences at this specific location, the staff is rude and does not pay attention to customers. I normally frequent the West Chester location, but thought I would try something different today. I brought clothing to sell, and when I brought it to the counter no one acknowledged me even though there were three workers standing there. After I was finally greeted, they told me it would be about 30 minutes. I browsed the store, and at about 35 minutes I didn't receive a text yet. I went and stood by the counter and watched as the worker going through clothing and another male working kept goofing around. Finally I asked when my basket would be gone through bc at this point it had been almost 45 minutes. She told me my basket would be next, but still she kept leaving the counter to go talk to others. Finally I asked to just take my basket and leave. If you are from the area, you are probably familiar with other Plato's closet locations. Save your self frustration and take the drive to the west Chester location. It is 100 times better, and the workers there seem to actually care about their job. I would give this location 0 stars if I could. read more

My fashion sense might be what most people called retired chic, a dash of retro a splash of 80's flair.... So Plato's is my jam! It so nice this place allows me to get everything I need in a relatively cheap way. I only wish, plato's was in my closet at home! I guess in a way, It IS!!!! read more
