Copied from the message sent via their website and Facebook page: To Whom It May Concern, Today marks the third attempt that I have made to sell items to your Ridgeland location. Upon the first, my wife and I brought items at 4:45pm, well within business hours, only to be told that they stopped taking items at 4:30pm. The notice on the door clearly states that items will be accepted on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm. On the second attempt, I was informed that they only allow for one container per person per day, which is nowhere stated on the website, Facebook page, or poster out front. That day I was able to sell 10 items for a total of $34, which is a messily $3.40 per item. For our third visit, on a Saturday, my wife and I brought two containers at 11:00am only to be told they are not accepting items and to come back on a Tuesday or Thursday. It seems like every time I have come to your store that I am given contradictory information than the one explicitly stated on the front door. In my opinion, this is simply bad business practices and is disrespectful of people's time and a waste of gas, as we live in Brandon and have made special trips to complete what should have been an easy task. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to your store unless we can be assured that this issue will be rectified. I sincerely hope other customers have had a better experience than our own. Amazing how snotty a consignment store can be!!!! No one spoke! The entire time we shopped and even as we checked out!! Wow!!!!!!! And then they failed to remove security tag from purchase so it went off as we exited!! You had 1 job! read more

Went to sell some clothing for the first time in a few years. I see they have a new staff. The manager didn't say much, quiet type but the younger associates had attitude. Nice nasty would be the term for the young lady buying my clothing. Didn't get her name, they don't wear name tags. Besides that, they don't buy good looking plus size clothing. My grandmother doesn't even wear the plus size clothing they have in the store so I don't innerstand how my clothes didn't make the cut. Hopefully they can actually hire a plus size person to actually buy the clothing we wear. read more

I took my basket of clothes in and returned to find that they kept 6 items of probably 30 or more. They returned them all in a wad..... could you not put them back the way you found them. I did see a cute purse in there, but would NEVER buy anything in there. Horrible customer service! read more

The staff working at the Countyline location is the most unhappy and rude staff I have come across. Feeling like you are a burden while trying to get rid of clothes is not how customer service should be. Horrible service. read more

NEVER WAIST YOUR TIME HERE! If they do choose to buy your clothing, it will be one to two items worth no more then 10 dollars.. You are lucky if they even search through your items. I recommend either donating or selling on Facebook over this worthless consignment store. read more

I've sold here twice and each time the customer service was horrible. The first time they waited until I rummaged through all my things to tell me I needed a bag, then I had to search for one and at the very last minute they offered one to me. The second time I asked for a receipt the Manager insisted on yelling in a condescending manner and instead of telling me they don't do receipts just cash. The prices are far and the sell back offers where too, it's not worth it if I will be treated like this each time. read more

I took three bags of clothing here, for a total of 47 items (mix of jeans, dresses, tops - from J. Crew, American Eagle, Material Girls, Zara, Free People, etc.). After about 15 minutes, I returned to the store to hear that all of my items were passed over, but two of the bags did not look like they had even been touched. Several of the items were still new with tags, but I was told the clothes were not what they were looking for because they were "not the right seasons." Unsure how none of the items were in season/on trend when I included everything from crop tops to sweaters, all of which were purchased fairly recently. The individual who informed me of this decision did not even make eye contact. Please get a better team! read more

This is the worst Plato's closet I have ever been too!! I recently brought in my business clothes (I've lost 50 #), and the lady behind the counter didn't even look at them!!! I watched from the other side of the store!!! Unless you want to dress like a Hoochie mama I would recommend not going to the store read more

The staff at this location is rude, condescending, and should not be in customer service. I took a bag of name brand clothing, most had not been worn at all, and they only wanted to keep 2 t-shirts. Some things still had the tags on them. I was looking through the store while they were assessing my items, and everything in my bag was in much better shape and much better name brands than what was on their racks. I will not be going back to Plato's closet to sell any items or to purchase items. Very sad that a business is run this way. I wish I could give it a negative review..... read more
