They have no dressing rooms for people with disabilities. No chair or stool. The doorway is normal size. When I brought this to the attention to clerk and manager they both just kinda giggled. I'm not sure who their "buyer" is but I don't think they get the used clothes thing. I took in 11 AE and Hollister shirts, some never worn, and they took none of them. They were out dated. My friend was selling clothes to plato's today and it was an AWFUL experience!! we were told to wait 40 mins for the girls to go through the clothes and they would send a text when done. 45 mins went by... she never received a text. we walked in and they hadn't even started on her clothes yet (which isn't THAT big of a deal to us), but as they started going through her clothes, they were laughing at them and talking about them. finally, after an hour, we received a text while in the store that The clothes were finally finished and they only took 3 things for $7.00. the bag we gave them were, almost brand new, very clean, nike tennis shoes and other newer, up to date clothes. as we were going through the store almost every item of clothing was outdated and not very appealing in my opinion. the girls who work in the store weren't very friendly until they could read us and how upset we were over the way they talked about my friends clothes. these girls are very disrespectful and my friend and i seem to not be the only ones who think this, based off of the other reviews. moral of the story, plato's is not the place to trade/ sell clothes... especially if you you don't want to be made fun of by girls, who themselves, don't have very good "style". read more

Waste of time to bring clothes in to maybe sell 4 items out of 50. Youre basically donating thrn for the prices they offer you, not to mention the time you waste bringing your basket full of clothes there and back home. And shopping there is like going to goodwill but marked up 300% read more

My daughter Noel and I enjoy shopping at Plato's Closet. She always finds something to buy here. Today it was expensive name brand makeup at deeply discounted rates. I didnt find anything for myself today but I enjoy browsing and looking at everything. Definitely will be going back again read more

I've been an Estee Lauder, Clinque, and Lancome girl for as long as I can remember. However, I always end up wearing the same brown and grey eyeshadows over and over again. I've really wanted to step out of my comfort zone lately and a trip to Plato's Closet over the weekend gave me the opportunity to do so. I found a beautiful Urban Decay palette (never been used or opened). The Naked Wild West palette has 12 desert-inspired shades. This palette usually retails for around $55, but I got it at Plato's Closet for $18. Today, I tried out Loredo (I'd compare it to a tannish mauve), Hold 'Em (sort of a metallic honey), and Bud (a greenish-blue). I was really impressed. I can't wait to try out the other colors. The colors gave my blue eyes a nice "pop" and it was fun being a little artsy and creative with my eyes. This is my new favorite palette! The employees at this location are incredibly rude. I was waiting at the counter to be serviced for at least 5 minutes in an almost completely empty store. Nobody at the registers whatsoever. i will not rate this locatin, not one star!! you say you know a real show from a fake one. Well, I'm here to say that is one big lie. i brought in 3 pairs of Uggs to this location today. do remind you they are in the original box and everything and barely have any wear or tear on the shoes at all. i was told today that my uggs were fake because the stitching was off and the tag that is inside of the shoe with the 4 or 5 stars were not the metallic silver but the grey stars which lets them know they are fake. well, i don't buy any fake shoes of any kind. If they don't come from the original store, i will not buy them at all. so to tell a customer their shoes are fake from 2 week training is crazy to me. i have sold several Uggs to this company in other locations and never have been told my shoes were fake. the employees would brag about how well kept they were and would give me the max they could because of that reason alone. i have sold shoes to both locations in Greensboro and charlotte, NC. i need this to make sense because right now, it doesn't. DO I FEEL I WAS RACIALLY PROFILED AS IF I BUY FAKE SHOES ALL THE TIME OR SOMETHING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS. went in sunday (2/2) around noonish and it was the least pleasant experience i've had in this plato's :(( my mom and i were looking through one of the racks and a sales associate (i think the tag said lenzy??) was walking right up behind us and practically breathing down our neck so she could stock the rack right past us. i totally understanding doing your job and needing to get everything out but she could have just said excuse me so we'd know she needed past!! she kind of just lingered until we moved out of her way so she could get past us, this happened 2 or 3 times before we decided to just leave the aisle. it was just a little uncomfortable and awkward read more

Took in 2 huge totes of recently purchased, freshly laundered teen clothes that included a pair of $200 Nike shoes that were only worn once. Came back to counter to hear that same tired quote "Out of date ", mind you, spent time looking thru store while waiting on them and saw exact same things I had brought. They said they had picked what they could use and we're offering me $15. Sure enough, the Nike's were selected in their pile. I told them to hand them back and that we would not be returning again. Went straight to goodwill and donated everything because I'd rather someone underprivileged found themselves a treasure at my expense than be handed an insult by entitled teenagers with judgmental attitudes and on power trips. Shame on this company. If all the same clothes I'm bringing you are worth nothing or next to nothing and match what you have in the store exactly, then why aren't your prices reflected as such?? I have taken totes of clothing here twice and each time came out with a good bit of change. I brought in a huge tote of clothing which several pieces had tags on them. When I went to pick up my tote they did not buy any of them and told me they were too worn or too out dated. I had 3 pairs of Dansko shoes and several Vera Bradley purses also a Coach purse and Liz Calborne purse. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Well I will not be supporting them for awhile. We have gone twice with containers full of clothes and they took none of them. Their reasoning was that they are trying to just take teen and young adult clothing. I am a 23 year old petit girl who donated my clothes from my teens. They are all in style and honestly look better than most the clothes they have there.
