We were running late for our reservation and the cashier was not friendly or accommodating. I asked about a few menu items and she was short with me. Another person was kind enough to check if they were still making food. They should invest in something to help keep the flies away from your food. It's summer so the it's hard to manage but it is necessary because my husband had to swallow his food to avoid them and I was swatting flies the entire meal. Record Guys helped calm my craving to dig recently…read more I hadn't been in a record shop since I left L.A. during the summer of 2022! This Abilene-based shop had two of the nicest guys - a father-son duo - working the front when I was there (11/21/2023). The dad pointed out the mural on the wall outside before I walked inside. Gave me some insight about the local artist who painted it. Inside you'll find mostly 33s, but there's more... to 45s to CDs to VHSs and tapes, posters, speakers, record players, memorabilia... Ya know, I didn't see much blues. That was the only pitfall for me. I was stoked when the dad, a former schoolteacher, mentioned the NEW Billy Idol Christmas record I snatched was really good. "He's a real crooner on this one..." And that's why I love record shops. Check out their Black Friday sale... I'm missing out some really good deals, but that's life.

This place is spacious and was able to accommodate a meet in greet, full buffet and then had another room for dining and a presentation. The staff who help serve us food were amazing.
