Got great service from a young man when I was in a bind. My son forgot to pack his baseball cleats for a long distance game so off to the nearest Play It Again Sports I went. As I ran in and explained he took me to the cleats section and helped me find the size I needed. He could have just pointed to where they were which is kind of what I was expecting the way teens work ethic seems to be these days. I told him his work ethic will serve him well someday and to keep it up! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS IN GENERAL. Went there to purchase some weight resistance bands that were in a clear see-through package with a label . The label was not obstructing the view of the band itself. The labels were not accurate on the clear see through package as this store offered several individual package bands at different width. I walk up to the up to the counter with band of interest and ask a young lady working , " did they have a measuring tape I can use? . The young lady's response was "you cannot open the package. I explain " I don't need to open the package...I just need to measure the width of the band"She said it's on the package. I explain to her that the package were incorrect with the measurements on all the bands and they were the same measurements regardless of the width of the band.. At this point I'm like "do you have a measuring tape or not".At that point she decide to pull out the measuring tape and I reach for it. . She said " no I will do it". At that point I was very frustrated that she would insult me as if I'm not capable of using a measuring tape. I'm not sure what was her concerned, me handling a $2 measuring tape or me opening up a package that clearly was not necessary to open up as the $45 weight resistance band was visible inside package and you can make the measurement without opening up the package. Given one review as seen about this location so far it appears her owner is a questionable manager and hirer/ trainer of his employees. If I cannot trust you to have accurate labeling on a product before I purchase it , why would I trust you to do the measurement for me. I left the band and the other two products I was planning to buy on the counter and walked out. (Lesson learned for me , walk back to the parking lot and get your own measuring tape out your car and don't risk having a bad customer service experience when you are excited about a potential purchase.) read more

Do not buy at this location. I went to buy some softball equipment for my daughter. I told the sales person I had no experience with buying softball equipment. He gave me a bat and told me it was good. The bat was on clearance. When my daughter took the bat to practice and hit her 3 coaches told her that bat was not good. She needed a new bat. So I went to the store to exchange the bat and was told they couldn't because it was on it was on clearance. Well the bat they sold me was a 2005 bat. After trying to reach the owner for almost 3 weeks he finally called me and told me to bring the bat that he would look at it. Today I got a call from the store and was told that the owner came today and tried the bat and it was good. Well the right thing would have been for him to let me exchange that old bat for one that worked. So i told the manager to buy back my bat and she said they have a new policy this year we're they can't buy things that old. How convenient. Do not go to this location they are not honest. read more

I'm super angry about my first and only experience with this store. Me and my wife are looking to get bikes to ride on our off days. Dicks, academy, and all of the bike shops all wanted over 400 dollars for a decent bike. I called and asked if they had a good selection and was told yes. I also asked if the bikes were inspected and all worked properly. I was assured that all the bikes were checked and in perfect working order. When we got there they had around 15-20 bikes. Most were childrens bikes. They probably had 2 or 3 adult male bikes and 4 or 5 adult female bikes. My wife picked one she liked and asked me to test it out for her. The gears on the bike did not shift at all. The brakes were also partially locked up in the back. So not only did they lie about their selection but the bikes werent checked at all and did not work. I drove 45 minutes to come to this store since i was assured they would have what i needed. I work between 50-60 hours a week. My two days off and free time are precious to me. All they had to do was honestly tell me about their bike selection and tell me the bikes were as is. I wish teenagers these days were more honest instead of trying to people please constantly. Only redeeming thing was the staff was definitely nice and pleasant and the selection of other items seemed pretty decent. Wish my time hadnt been wasted though. read more

So my son is playing his first season of lacrosse. As of January 1st, NOCSAE, the governing body, upped the standard for lacrosse shoulder pads to include greater protection for the chest and sternum. Which is a good thing. I am all in favor of making things safer. So i just ran out to Dick's Sporting Goods at the Mall of Georgia and got a set of ND200 compliant shoulder pads...then I went to Play It Again Sports near the mall to return the other shoulder pads...now bear in mind, when we went there in December, I had prefaced our conversation with "we are brand new to lacrosse and know nothing...this is what we need..." Knowledge of the standard changing had been available since spring of 2021, but being knew to lacrosse, we knew nothing. They sold us those pads, knowing that as of the following month they weren't going to be legal. And today, they refused to take them back because they were not ND200 compliant. I about had a conniption. But the girl's response was "well, maybe some leagues can still use them", knowing that that was patently untrue. Any league is going to require this for reasons of potential liability if they don't...So, knowing that we were babes in the woods with lacrosse, they knowingly took advantage...unreal...won't be going back there. read more
