I began working with Stella Michon early in the summer of 2020. I'm surprised Tina doesn't have any reviews on this page yet. I've been going to Tina for a little over a year, and she's helped me work through so many issues. She's an excellent listener, and remembers the smallest details without ever taking notes during sessions. She's fully present, asks all the right questions, and doesn't make you feel as though you're being judged. That being said, she isn't afraid to challenge you. While she knows when the right times are to listen, she also knows when to give meaningful feedback/advice so you can actually grow and work through your issues. I reached out to Rachel today in order to see if she took insurance as her reviews and website are great. Unfortunately, she isn't contracted with insurance (but she will provide a superbill for reimbursement). I let her know that I was going to try to find someone who was contracted and not only did she show genuine care, but she sent over referral names and phone numbers of therapists who are contracted with insurance. She went above and beyond to help me even though I am not a client. Kindness like this is rare from a complete stranger, and it really impressed me. I've been suffering anxiety and panic attacks for years, and just with seeing Rachel these past 3 months I've already seen an improvement! My anxiety and panic attacks have since decreased, I think the difference between Rachel and other therapists I have tried in the past is that she helped me change the way I thought about the things that made me anxious through her well crafted questions and the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools she used in session and gave me as homework.
