******THE KIDS NEED SAFEGUARDING****** I've been an RN for over 20yrs and have worked extensively with children, including but not limited to owning my own children's nursing facility that operated closely with CPS. I've seen both the best and the worst, and I can tell from an outsider's perspective that this daycare is one of the best. I don't have a child being minded here, but it's obvious that this establishment is well run. I've been staying next door at the hotel and it's been so delightful to hear the kiddos playing and having the absolute best time. There's not one loner kid off to the side, desperately missing their parents (there always seems to be just one little one that feels awkward being away from home, but not here!). They're all clearly having a great experience. And with yard duties who care, when I pass by the window, I always see them joining in and pushing kids on the swing and walking around to make sure they're safe. But here in lies the problem. I shouldn't be able to see all this at an up close, clear vantage. Even innocent, every day scenes like this are fodder. It's shocking, but it's true. Literally any every day Joe Blow creepster could check in to one of these rooms and take pics and film. This is a VERY NICE budget hotel, the rooms are impeccable and the staff is exceedingly nice and professional. But the ease with which a low life could repeatedly stay "on business" and have their pick of 3 stories at almost the entire back half of the hotel and gain a clear, up close vantage to the play yard is deeply disturbing. This kind of access needs to be halted immediately. Some sort of visual barrier needs to go up. Even a chain link fence with ivy (? tarp?) would do. I don't know the daycare budget, nor what would be most easy and practical, but just something/anything cheap or otherwise to get going and keep these kids safe and away from such predators' vantage. Current and potential parents rest assured, I'm sure that this will be handled rapid rate. It's incredibly important, and I'm sure that this is the kind of facility that won't bury their head in the sand and white wash the situation but instead, rise to the occasion. read more
