She is very hands on and is an amazing teacher. They are allowed to be children and explore the world around them. They do gardening, play in the mud, and many outdoor activities where they can learn through play. The children are taught values: how to be kind and respectful, how to be a good friend and of course academics. The smaller class size means that your child will get better quality of education versus a class of 29 in public school. After my 4th child graduated kindergarten, it was a no brainer for me to enroll my 5th child at Rise and Shine. My 5th child has learned and grown so much since starting kindergarten! He developed love for God and enjoys praying and reading his bible before going to bed. Don't be fooled though, the academic portion of the kindergarten class is really challenging and at the end of the day your child will surprise you with what he's learned in class. We really love Teacher Jeannie and Rise and Shine. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for them. Even if you have Teacher Jeannie as your teacher, you will feel that the school has a family atmosphere. Every one knows your child by name and truly cares. My only regret is not discovering them sooner with my 3 older children and I still pray that they open up elementary classes! That would be the dream!

Every teacher at this school has been working there many years, which gave us a huge comfort in knowing we would have familiar faces through every stage. Every teacher knows kids from all classrooms by name and all kids know each other too. It's like family! My daughter started here at 5 months old and she's now 2 1/2. We have been so happy with all our teachers and experiences! The infant teacher is especially amazing and my son will be starting this fall in the infant room just like my daughter did. If you're looking for a school for your kids to grow at, this is definitely the place. The class sizes are small, the teachers put so much effort into every child, and they bring home the sweetest projects for holidays as well. They even offer TK & K with after care which is a great option for working parents. I couldn't recommend Rise & Shine enough!

From our very first day, the guides welcomed us with warmth and reassurance, and the calm, structured Montessori environment immediately gave us peace of mind. The anxiety we had about leaving our infant in someone else's care quickly disappeared. Our first child has grown up here -- starting as an infant and now preparing for preschool age. Seeing the independence, confidence, and curiosity they've developed has been amazing. We were so impressed by the experience that when our second baby arrived, there was no hesitation about where to enroll them. What we appreciate most is the true Montessori environment: thoughtfully designed classrooms, guides who encourage exploration and independence, and a nurturing approach that supports each child's growth socially, emotionally, and academically. Guidepost Copper Hill has become more than just childcare -- it feels like a second home for our family. We wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent, especially first-time parents searching for both peace of mind and a place where children can truly thrive.

New families BEWARE!…read more I would not recommend this facility to anyone! Please look up licensing violations about this facility as there has been multiple! Including a child being spanked on the buttock and dragged by the ankles by an assistant guide. They have no cameras and very high turn around in assistant guides. Our kids are both finally back to their happy selves now they no longer go to Guidepost. They would beg to stay home, and ask teachers to call me daily asking me to come get them as early as 10am.... I have had to since put my daughter in therapy as she is so traumatised by her time at Guidepost. My daughter went into TK completely unprepared... a major criticism with Montessori and unfortunately it is true! There is much better actual Montessori preschools in the area where the kids actually learn and where they do not prioritise profit over children's wellbeing! My daughter learnt very little at Guidepost, even my son who has been at a public preschool since he was 3 would come home singing songs, be able to identify letters and numbers, bring home multiple pieces of artwork and papers on what he has learnt daily. When my daughter who was at Guidepost since she was 2, we took her out at close to 5 knew nothing!! I'm very curious as to what they actual did there all day. Transparent Classroom the website they use to post pictures was updated once a month with 1 photo.. and would be something to lines of spreading cheese on a cracker or washing a window. Please do your research you do not want to experience the mom guilt i have for sending my kids here !!! Also might want to do some further research on Guidepost Montessori.. i was so horrified knowing they had kept us in the dark so long!! Which is why it took 4 months to receive our deposit and it wasn't even the full amount. Extremely disappointed!

My daughter is only 19 months old, and the growth we've seen in her since starting here has been incredible. She is already so advanced for her age, and I genuinely believe that's a direct reflection of the thoughtful curriculum and the intentional, nurturing environment the school provides. What really sets this school apart, though, is the staff. Every single teacher and team member we've encountered is warm, attentive, and deeply invested in the children. They don't just "watch" the kids, they engage with them, encourage them, and celebrate their milestones like they're their own. A special thank you to Ms. Sam and Ms. Maddy, who care for my daughter so thoughtfully each day. They have made such a meaningful impact on her growth and happiness. I also want to recognize Michelle ("Shells"), who helps run operations and has been an incredible asset to our family. Her support, communication, and presence do not go unnoticed. There's also such a strong sense of community here. From day one, we've felt welcomed and supported, and it truly feels like my daughter is being cared for by an extended family. Knowing she is safe, loved, and thriving every day gives me so much peace of mind. I'm beyond grateful we found this school and would recommend it wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a place where their child will be nurtured, challenged, and genuinely cared for.

    Monarch Academy For Young Children

A really tough review to write. I am writing this about a month after our incident at Monarch…read more I registered my son back in summer. I was given a recommendation by a friend and just moved to the area. I have to admit I did not like the space as much as I wanted to, but after a conversation with the staff, I thought I was making a good choice. The woman I spoke to was not my son's teacher and I wish I had the ability to meet her that day. Originally I liked the teacher my son was assigned. I joked with them a little about having a boy and how they can be so different from girls. My son, at the time, had just turned 4. He is still very little so circle time and sitting are not his strong suit just yet. This is why we wanted him to go to a TK kind of school. However, in a short time that opinion changed. I carried my son in one day rushing for work and the teacher said, "oh why are you being held I don't like that, you're a big boy" because I'm rushing and there is a parking lot here, ma'am is what I thought. But I realized as an adult we do not let intrusive thoughts win. So unlike the teacher, I kept my mouth shut. Almost immediately they had criticism for my son. One thing I noticed though is the teacher regularly stated "I don't answer to children." Ma'am that's your entire job... To answer to children. The tough approach really made my son hate school. He would cry and not want to go in the morning. Soon I began getting what I would like to say pretty regular phone calls about my son hitting. When I spoke to the teacher about the incident she confessed there was a child there with special needs. Apparently it caused some issues and he and my son would have alterations as a result. *side note this is not a behavior I noticed at home with 3 other children. I feel like if a child hits they do it pretty regularly not just in one environment unless it's provoked. In addition at his new school we have had zero incidents in one months time. Once I asked the school about the situation, they replied "well it's undiagnosed." As a result, my son kept getting shuffled from room to room as he was labeled difficult. This side of their story continues to shift and my best guess is their license does not allow them to provide care for special needs children. So they are trying to their level best to use the correct verbiage. The next day, I got a phone call suggesting that I make a reward chart. So we did: Day one my son got the reward. Day two I got a pretty awful/passive aggressive email asking him to leave. This is a Thursday, I had work and I had no warning. Fast forward, I took him out that day and by the next day had him registered in a real classroom. Paying $100 more a month. I was able to bring him at 6 am and leave him until 6pm. (9-4 very hard hour at monarch.) He learns Spanish, has music class, does his school work, and his teachers love him. I attached pictures of our email and my son at his new school. Thriving. (Anyone can dm me and ask me where if you are looking) The point is, we have all had a bad teacher or a bad boss that was not motivating and made us hate being in their presence and that environment. And it changed you and how you approached your work and how you felt about even showing up. I truly believe it was their error as I attached pictures my proof so that you may decide yourself. Be careful who you let influence your young children. Be careful who helps them build up who they are and be intentional in your choices. It impacts how they view learning and how well they learn. This is not a facility that hold that same belief. And to the facility, respond if you would like. But nothing you have to say justifies your treatment to my son. Take a look at the pictures and maybe take a look at yourself and your staff. If he was so bad how in a month did he fix everything. Notice my punctuation. That's a period not a question mark.

My Son started school Tuesday/Thursday the first time Aug 18 2020. On Thursday 8.20.2020 he was injured on school property in the classroom where his toe was sliced underneath a doorway, due to the new Covid protocols we are advised as parents to take our children shoes off and leave them at the door so they are have no shoes from 9-12 pm. My sons name is Kanaan and he was in Miss Julia's class. Story of what happened is still unclear to me because the photos tell a different story they told me stubbed his toe on door way?!? This looks like a more of a slice of the toenail because either the door was open or shut on his foot. The story as a mother is not adding up to me and I have still not been given an explanation on what exactly happened. The director of the facility was not very happy with how I was questioning everything that she did not say sorry she said her staff handled it the way that they should have and was not given a phone call during time of incident. The phone conversation with the director did not go well because all she kept asking was what did I want but I told her all I want is for her to listen to me because I do not believe the story that I was told and I want to know the truth. She did not like that and told me that I was not allowed at her school and she would refund me. I of course was not planning on returning to the school as you can see they do not take care of kids in the school as you can see. This was his second day. I did take my son to urgent care: he has a toenail avulsion due to the impact of the door. They keep on blaming my child that he wanted to go out but they are the adults and should be watching the children better as well as making sure there is nothing hazardous for a child to get this type of trauma or injury done onto them. Shame on them for the way they handled this. Hannah your Professionalism is disgusting! The repercussions that have come out of this situation is worse because I will have to be taken care of my child for the next 30 days he will not be able to wear regular clothes toed shoe the trauma done to the toe nail is so severe that to not have an infection he will have to have the toenail cleaned her hour for the next two weeks causing me to miss work causing me to have emotional distress causing me to have an impact to my daily life where I can no longer continue on working due to having to take care of him and his injury so it does not worsen. I am completely out of resources I do not have a secondary childcare option and this is devastating for me and my child who has to deal with the pain and be scared of something as simple as a bath. Ultimately I was kicked out school not given an apology or asked how my child is doing? I was treated horrible by the director Hannah! Beware of this school!

Literally everyone genuinely cared about my kids. They even taught me a thing or two, like potty training tricks, and how to do my daughter's hair. Oh and if you just couldn't bring yourself to pack their lunches/snacks no worries, they can provide snacks and a home cooked lunch for an incredibly reasonable price!
