So while I was on the island, I needed to stop at the store and pick up some Gatorade. The person I was traveling with said we need to go to plaza extra. I was like, that sounds fine, as I had never even heard of the store before. As I walked through the door, it took me a second to realize that this was no ordinary grocery store... As the first thing I saw was riding lawn mowers and solar converters. And that was just the beginning. The more I walked around the store, the more things that I saw that I was not expecting. Flat screen TVs, clothing, luggage, and a lot of big box items. Seriously, this looks like what the child of Costco and a major grocery store would have. I will say this, everything was neat and clean and tidy, and the shelves were neatly, stocked and faced. You can tell whoever worked there took pride in making sure everything looked good. The only downside that I had was the girl that was checking me out, seemed like she really didn't want to be there. She didn't greet me, she just scanned the items and didn't even say anything at all. No Hi how are you, no can I help you with anything else, nothing. I really hope customer service is not dead. Bottom line? If you are in the islands and you are looking for something, chances are this place has it. I would have given it five stars had it been for the nonchalant attitude of the girl checking me out. That being said, this place has pretty much anything you could possibly want. read more

This is what you get when you combine a department store, a grocery store, a liquor store and a Costco. They have a decent sized parking lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located. Currently masks are required to be worn while in the store. The store is not very clean or organized, but it is a one stop shop. They have fruit, frozen food, meats, snacks, alcohol, a pharmacy, pastries, televisions, fans, blankets, bulk goods and everything in between. This place is the definition of a one stop shop. The staff there was helpful and friendly. I found everything that I needed, and a lot of what I wanted there. This is a large store and it stays pretty busy. It is a popular spot among tourist and locals a like. Selection is this stores strong point. If you can not find what you are looking for here, then good luck finding it anywhere else. They have stock all over the place, in the aisles, on top of shelves...everywhere. They just roll a pallet out and drop it right there. It looks like they do most of their stocking during the day. I wish this was done at night though, like most grocery stores in the states. This is a good store to get more bang for your buck. They have some decent sale items. I wish that it was a bit cleaner and more organized though. read more

One of the widest selections of groceries in St. Croix. Besides the usual aisles of grocery items they also have a fairly decent selection of groceries in bulk. A good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a pharmacy. The aisles tend to be overcrowded. They seem to often restock shelves during busy periods instead of late at night. Many of the check out clerks are distracted and behave indifferently towards customers. read more

Not a US grocery store, even though that's how I'm comparing it. This is a mix between a grocery, a Costco, and a liquor store. Prices are "island high". Expect milk at $10/gallon and bread at $5/loaf. Some prices are indicated, some aren't. Selections are limited. Check dates to make sure you are getting something not expired. I would rank this and Cost u less the best two large grocery stores on the island. Some have criticized its layout but it works. Has everything you need from small items to bulk purchases. This is our 3rd time to St Croix and 4th to the U.S. Virgin Islands it is really the best all purpose grocery store. Great bakery and deli besides the wide selection. read more

The market was a mixture of like a big costco/sam's club were you could buy things in bulk, but you could also buy stuff individually. It was a good place to buy snacks and food for our stay in st. Croix! The staff was nice, and there were a lot of options. -- We mainly just bought snacks and fruit there. read more
