It's walkable from Old Town Albuquerque but you can also drive and park since there are plenty of parking spots. The things that stood out as unique here was the large selection of Pendleton made blankets and clothing with Native American patterns. There is almost an overwhelming amount of items here so it's good if you like browsing. The staff also knows a lot so if you have questions or are looking for a specific item you can ask away. You can also ask for a discount and haggle the prices if you think it's too much. My friend accidentally broke a Kachina doll that was already slightly broken, he felt bad and requested we come back right before our flight so he could pay for it. Staff was very kind and gave him a massive discount. He has it proudly displayed at his home now!

I eventually found the hot sauce section, which, incidentally, is incredibly well organized, including the cool display for the Ass Kickin' stuff (prices on the hot sauces are outstanding and there are several I have seen here and nowhere else), but I wish the rest of the store was organized similarly. The entire thing screams clutter and spicy products (I think, I tried really hard to find them all, but maybe (probably) missed some) are maybe 20% of the floor space. The rest is coffee and mugs and t-shirts and pinon stuff and just random...shit. Back to my confusion...I don't understand why this place is called Chile ADdict when so little of the inventory is related to piquancy. I guess calling it a gift shop would be less interesting, maybe? Anyway, if you have a lot of time and patience to spend carefully hunting and foraging around this (sometimes precariously and hapazardly) scattered array, it can definitely be rewarding, but it won't be fast.

I was able to get a couple nice things for myself as well as a great gift for a friend back home who dog sat my furry companion. The store is pretty big and virtually every inch has something interesting to consider buying. I wish the online store featured more of the items actually sold in store because I'd probably buy a cactus for myself after seeing the one I bought my friend. The salesperson also gave us some tips on where to visit while we were in the area. She was really friendly and a great resource for us. If you only get a chance to visit one gift shop in the area I'd say this one is your best bet!

They had a decent selection of sages, incense, candles and gemstones along with a mixture of clothing items and accessories. I am always on the look for taxidermy insects for my collection, so I was a bit sad to see they didn't have a selection of framed insects, bones, etc to check out aside from one framed butterfly on a shelf which I think was used as a decoration. The prices seemed a bit high on some of the products, but it could be due to its location in a prime touristy type shopping area. The store itself felt cozy and is inside of old building, so the shop splits off into two little rooms. I unfortunately didn't find anything I wanted to grab, but my teen found a candle she wanted. All in all it was worth stopping by to check out and see what they had to offer and the girl working the register was really sweet and helpful.

While hanging out for the 25 years of flavor event at Tin Can Alley I found myself exploring the…read moreplace. Right next to the Arcade on the second level I discovered this place, Brotique. Not sure exactly what kinda shop it was I knew I just had to take a peak. Walking in I was immediately welcomed and greeted by the staff. Not sure exactly what kinda products the store had I found myself looking at everything. Within the first few minutes I discovered it's was a lot of New Mexican themed items like shirts with the Zia symbols. A lot of cool pins. I found one in particular that was a name tag with the "hello my name is" and in the blank read "Cabrón". They also had the female version with "Cabróna". Boy did I get a good laugh. I just had to buy one for me and my dad. I also found some cool breaking bad themed magnets there. They even had chili pepper pens! The place was really cool, and I'm glad I stopped in. Next time I'm in the area I'll gladly come back. Might need some more of those hilarious name tags! They were so cool even the chef Aaron May who was a special guest at the 25 years of flavor for a good laugh. Everyone thought that was really my name it was great lol thanks again Brotique! The blueQ socks wear at the ball of your foot easily, have 6-8 at home that have worn out quickly. The Fab sock cotton is thicker by the ball of the foot. Stocked up on socks for the rest of the trip. Would be nice get a discount for buying 10 or more pairs of socks in the future, owner said perhaps in the future.

We were able to get something for everyone - handmade sage sticks, handmade soaps, unique artisan coffee mugs and steelers champagne glasses and little knick knacks for the kids as well. I really enjoyed this stop. The selection is unreal. It is across from a diner but we did not stop in to eat. The ladies were helpful and made the stop more pleasant.
