Please note: Many positive reviews on yelp were written under previous school and parish…read moreleadership. Our children attended this school for 11 years, and there is now new administration and church leadership. Our experience with the current leadership has been dramatically different. We considered this school and parish our second home. We volunteered, supported school events, raised our children here, and trusted the community to reflect the Catholic values of compassion, mercy, forgiveness, and human dignity. That trust was shattered when our family faced its first and only significant disciplinary issue. We expected accountability, guidance, and an opportunity for our child to learn from a mistake. Instead, we experienced exclusion, fear-driven decision-making, and we felt increasingly unwelcome by the school and church leadership. It became clear that the current leadership lacked the experience to handle the situation and, more importantly, the humility to recognize its shortcomings. We believe their actions fell short of standard education requirements and practices and caused significant and lasting harm to our children and family. Catholic education should emphasize mercy, redemption, reconciliation, and the belief that a child is more than a single mistake. Instead, we experienced what felt like judgment, exclusion and institutional self-protection. The decisions felt punitive and disproportionate, with little meaningful dialogue, transparency, or compassion. Despite many families advocating on our behalf for a different approach, leadership ultimately turned its back on our family. What remains most painful is the disconnect between how we were treated and the values this school and parish claim to teach.

In our experience, the administration seemed much more focused on uniforms, skirt length, Mass, and rule-following than on whether students were actually being challenged. There are some genuinely good teachers there, and I don't want to take away from them, but overall the academics felt inconsistent. It also feels like the diocese does not invest enough in teacher pay to consistently attract and keep top talent. And unfortunately, that shows. I'll also just say that the overall leadership of the parish/school gave us an uncomfortable feeling at times. The pastor in particular gave off a strange vibe that made the environment feel less warm and welcoming than we had hoped. For what families pay, I expected St. Perpetua to feel meaningfully stronger than the public school option. For us, it didn't.

She learned many songs that she still remembers a year later. They also taught her her first meal prayer which she still leads us at dinner with. The preschool is a more intimate setting where you really feel that your child is getting his or her needs met and is not just another kid. They are affordable as well as high quality.... a rare bland. Several of the teachers have been there for many many years. They have a huge shaded and gated playground and promote plenty of outdoor playtime. Our youngest was so in love with the preschool (which he was too young to attend at the time) that he would throw tantrums every time we dropped my daughter off since he wanted to stay there too. I like that they provided a nurturing, loving, christian setting for all the kids to flourish in. They have a 2 year old class the caterpillars, a 3 year old class the butterflies, and a 4/5 year class the honeybees. They offer part time and ful ltime care.

The teachers are so great... they keep you updated on how your child is doing. I get little notes on some of the projects telling me what the kids said while making them. When we did the tour at Fountainhead, the kids were so calm and the environment was peaceful. My wife and I are so happy that our son loves this school. We are pretty protective parents...He was the youngest of his class (2.5yrs) and the older kids help him a lot. He started early this year and his language skills has improved so much. We enrolled him for 2027 and hope to enroll his little brother at 1.5 years. Highly recommend!

I fully understand that being late was my responsibility and that the school may have had another appointment afterward. What disappointed me was how the situation was handled. The Site Director did not come out to greet me or speak with me in person. Instead, she only stuck her head out from inside and told me that I was late, the next family was arriving, and that I needed to come back another day. What confused me even more was that she said the tour was only 15 minutes, even though my confirmation email clearly stated that the scheduled tour would last 30 minutes (10:00-10:30 AM). I explained that I only have one day off from work and asked if I could at least spend a few minutes seeing the school since there was still time remaining in my scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, there was no apology, no empathy, and no willingness to accommodate even a brief visit. I respect the school's schedule, and I understand that arriving late has consequences. However, first impressions matter. As a parent looking for a preschool, I expected to be treated with courtesy and respect, even if I made a mistake. A little kindness and professionalism would have made a big difference. Because of this experience, I decided not to consider this school for my child.
