The service were aggressive and quick, I happened to go on "nen's night" and the "aufguss" aroma was beer lol (it was great). IT wasn't too busy, the other bros were sweet, and the staff nailed it. This isn't a typical spa, you won't get a long massage, candlelight, or a variety of steam rooms and saunas, but if you're down - you'll have a great time.

We arrived, and don't be put off if you have to ring the bell - door's locked, and it might take a moment, but we had baths booked and scrub/massage, so we knew we were getting in, but we had no idea how cool and memorable this would be. You could tell there were regulars, happy looking women just in pants, sitting in twos in the steam, or around the common table, rinsing or awaiting scrub or foam; pre-massage. The women who work there are all speaking Turkish, economizing on the pleasantries, because, baby, they are really delivering the goods. Women are getting polished with Turkish coffee, lathered with foam delivered from some kind of oversized cheesecloth tube. It's dynamite. If you've opted for a massage, then a massage you shall get, in a private room in most cases, and very thoughtful, personalized, and leaving you with a very dreamy relaxed yet energized feeling. I had a burn on my hand that my therapist was so concerned about she made that the focus of her care, making lots of recommendations about how to treat it, and lots of extra effort. Anyway, it was a 5 star experience in an affordable, authentic, really sweet caring package. They care about what they do, and they do it I think every day of the week - broken into Mens days and Womens days -- I'd do it weekly if I lived in London, not gonna lie.

I was a decent walk in the morning air to get there and nice total relaxation was on offer when I got there. Nice cup of coffee and a couple slices of toast as soon as I walked in. Booked and paid for a sauna and sometimes a massage as well. It was a unisex place and there were many times good conversations would come along and the night was over in no timewoops..it's 7.30am. I picture of me? Nightclub 'bouncer'. My size and job were often of no consequence and many a laugh was t be had. One night the barman in 'only Fools and Horses' was there with onother of his comedian-isque telly friends. The jokes and funny stories were endless with contributions from everywhere..including the staff. This was the only above suspician sauna in London and I'll bet it still is. I have many memories of this place but now, unfortunately, I live in the North-East. Do not miss the experiance of this place. In the past a stroppy member of staff stood in the doorway of the steam room after I had asked him to close the door because it was already cold. He stood there with the door wide open and deliberately let the steam out. I stopped going for some years. Another time an idiot supervisor put eucalyptus oil on to the sauna elements - the vapour caused my eyes to burn - the establishment did not have eyewash equipment. There was no response from the owner to my complaint - who also owns the straight but scummy Rios Spa up in Kentish Town. The staff at Waterloo also enjoy going down onto to their hands and knees and peering under the cubicle doors to watch the 'action' inside. I'm amazed that Lambeth Council allows the place to operate. There is no fire exit in case of fire. I have seen guys having group bareback anal sex in the open relaxation room. The toilet floor is filthy with urine stains. The steam room smells of damp and mould and the tiles are peeling off the walls. Recently I went there on a cold day. There was a new member of staff at the entrance. Firstly I was charged £14 despite showing my Freedom Pensioner Pass. Then I was accused of trying to bring alcohol into the place - my bag was full of presents and a laptop. Then I was asked if I had drugs on me. Jeeze - and I hadn't even gotten in the door. He took my money. Then he decided that I was not be allowed in after all and so gave me my money back and asked me to leave. Of all of the saunas, spas and Turkish baths (hammans) I have been to around the world the Chariots chain and Rios in London are the very worst. Indeed there have been deaths from drug overdoses at the branch in Vauxhall. You'd have to be really desperate to go to any of these.

All in all a superb gym which had a real community social feel to it.

The facilities include several work-out areas, including one women only, a dedicated Pilates studio, spinning studio, squash courts, pool, lap pool, health spa area, café and Jacuzzi relaxation area. The changing rooms are massive, spread over two floors with steam room and GHDs. Folks, this place is bloody amazing, but unfortunately they still don't exercise for you. The only downside is they use a token system for some classes which can be pain if you get there late and are kicked out of class for not having one.

The real scam is that clause 11*( the cancellation policy) is not even on that paper, but it is just hung on the wall, written with micro-characters and when I joined no one made me aware of that. Long story short, unless you bend to their fraudulent rules, they send you one or more intimidatory letters asking to pay what is due according to that clause (I learned about that policy when I first got the mail and I was incredulous) and then they pass your details to Creditlink Account Recovery Solutions Limited that starts harassing you itself. I was willing to meet them halfway so that I went to the Cousin Lane Centre myself 2 times, asking to send me an email in which they stated that I was willing to close the dispute and that this had to be communicated to C.A.R.S. but do you think I got any help/notification? The manager just kept on saying "you should have read the policy on the wall". These guys...what a great customer service they provide?
