I think this is really important, as they cannot tell you if the shoes fit them or not. The staff offer a treat (with parents permission) to older children when they get their new shoes (and siblings often get one too). Younger members of staff are supervised to ensure they learn how to correctly measure a childs foot. I have never felt pressured into buying new shoes - in fact if my child didnt need them then I wasnt told I need any new ones. Prices are expensive - but you are paying for quality and correct fitting and sizing which is important when dealing with your child's first shoes. This shop does, of course, sell shoes for adults as well but I dont really find those to my taste.

They sell everything from handbags to shoes and all kinds of clothes. They have a large changing room with plenty of cubicles. The display of shoes is really good rather then all on one shelf they are laid out at the back of the store in a square with plenty of seating. There bags are atractivly displayed on glass shelving so you can see what the bags look like all over. They always seem to have a sale on which is good as I feel there prices are really rather high. I know its good fashion but is still a little pricey in my opinion (but then I do normally shop in Primark).

Their products are priced quite low, making it good for a bargain, but personal experiance of items purchased from there, they dont tend to last very long, apart from the clothes. I have often picked up my children a few little toys to keep them occupied on a rainy day and they havent lasted very long at all. The clothing however, is pretty good. Prices are low, so you can pick up a fair few items without spending a fortune. It is quite a large store, and there are staff about, but there never seems to be enough of them, there needs to be a few more around, especially on a weekend when it gets quite busy. The shop also looks in need of a bit of TLC, shelves can be quite messy and displays are untidy, but it tends to be more when the store is busy.

Luckily didn't fall in the mud. Walked in and explained my lack of shoes on this trip. Was directed by a kind female associate to some semi water proof sketcher boots. 3 colors but they only had one in my size. They must have other stores because they can have a pair sent the next day. Beyond happy with the service. Felt comfortable, welcome, and listened to. (American in England)

Although called Mr Shoes the shop does in fact sell more than just shoes - it also sells sandals, flip flops, trainers and boots. These are for both men and women, but there are no childrens shoes sold. There are often sales and special offers available, such as buy one get one half price. Due to the size of the shop there are very few sizes on display and they dont have a wide range of sizes in the store room which can be disappointing. Price wise I would say that the store is very competitive. Styling is often very modern. Staff are often helpful and will check stock in another branch for you if you request it.

It also had a fantastic photo processing unit, delivering 2, 4 or 24 hr photos. They were fairly cheap as well. Having two entrances, one of them was suitable for wheelchairs, which is good news indeed. The staff were always friendly and often up for a chat, but not intrusively so.

Usualy in all honesty it is a shop that is just way to expensive for me but the clothes are gorgeous. I used this shop though to get my bridesmades out fits from, the choice in sizes was great cause the bridesmades ranged from very slim to a little on the larger size so it was hard to find anything within the high street shops. This shop though had some beautiful dresses that you wouldn't wear anywhere else then to a special occasion like a wedding. We found a beautiful deep purple tafeta dress in the sizes we needed and the staff were lovely and helpfull. The changing rooms had thick velvet drapes rahter then flimsy cotton curtains where everyone can see what you are doing. I brought the dresses for the girls, then they could keep them for if needed on a special occassion again. A very expensive shop but lovely outfits.
