Turned out we needed a part that, because of the holiday and weekend, would take 5 days to get. He drove us to a hotel and kept in contact the entire time. I called bullcrap on them and took it over to Gothenburg tire and automotive and after Ray had gone over it we found that it did not need almost half of the work they claimed! They had told us it had an upper oil pan leak that they wanted over 1400 dollars to fix and it did not! They told us that both the front and rear brakes and rotors needed replaced and only the rear ones needed replaced! The front ones had over 3/4 of life left! They told us that one wheel had a broken lug and stud and it did not! They told us the ball joints were loose and they were not! They told us it needed an alignment and it did not! This place used to be a great place to go and now that Vic is gone they have turned into a bunch of crooks! We had in past years purchased several vehicles from them and always used them for oil changes and mechanical issues but not anymore and if you are smart you will steer clear of this place! I stopped by the Walmart in Lexington, NE during my drive to Lincoln, NE. When I left Walmart, I…read morerealized that I needed to gas up for the next leg of my drive. Looked around to see what my gas station options were and found Sinclair gas station across the freeway from the Walmart. Perfect! It was the same direction I needed to go to get back on the freeway to head east toward Lincoln. Sinclair gas is right outside this Nebraskaland Tire shop. It's really a truck stop, with gas pumps for automobiles, and a separate gas pump area for longer trucks. This is a nice stop because it's quieter and easy to drive right up to the pump without having to wait. This was also the first Sinclair gas station I've come across during my drive from CA where the pump accepted tap to pay (instead of having to physically insert my credit card). I was really happy about the newer gas pump that has this feature! Because I'm always worried about losing my credit card when I have to dig it out of my purse. The gas prices here are also pretty good.
