Que the music to Gilligan's Island. I'd like to tell you a little story that started about a year ago with Dr. Plumb. I was diagnosed with cancer in late May of 2019. After completing all the test that I needed to have done, I was getting ready to start my treatment when they dropped a bomb on me telling me that I needed to be cleared by a dentist who is knowledgeable in cancer treatment. Until I stumbled onto Dr. Plumb, the next closest I could find was in Las Vegas. I had surgery scheduled for a week later and was to start Chemo and Radiation the week after that. I was under a huge time constraint. What a godsend in finding Dr Plumb. When he found out the time constraint I was under and why he said that we'd get it done, it didn't matter if he had to come in early or stay late. That day we did half my mouth and the next day we did the other. After he completed all the work, he give me a release for treatment and I was ready to go. I started my treatment as schedule the next week. Now here we are a year later and because of the cancer treatments I went through my teeth are worse off than before. But that's why they wanted my teeth in excellent shape before we started the treatment. They expected this kind of damage. It was to the point that cold and sweets were like someone driving an icepick through my teeth. About a month ago I went in had my teeth cleaned and evaluated for the repairs. Dr Plumb came up with a plan and told me we could implement it however I wanted. Just yesterday I went in and started the repairs. We got half my mouth done and just as soon as I can schedule the time I'll complete the rest of the repairs. My whole point to this story is to show Dr Plumb's skill, compassion, and his willingness to go that extra mile to help his patients. Because of the way we were treated my wife has even changed over to Dr Plumb. Dealing with everyone at doctor plumb's is like being a part of his family. We enjoy life and having fun; his staff seems to be the same way. Whenever my wife and I go in we laugh, joke and kid around with everyone and they give it right back to us. This is one of the reasons why we love Dr Plumb and his staff. You can also tell that the staff loves working for Dr Plumb just by the way they act and the interaction between them and Dr Plumb. I went to Plumb dental a bit back for the reason it advertised as a affordable solution for my dental needs. My first visit was for some urgent care. I had some X-ray done on my teeth and it showed I had an abscessed tooth which I already knew. After numbing me up real good the so called dentist pulled the wrong tooth and was going to send me on my way. After communicating with him the mistake he was going to put me off for a couple of weeks. I was desperate and wasn't going for it so the so called dentist (Workman) agreed to pull the correct one (excruciating pain) so all was well except I guess the loss of a perfectly good tooth. (Sarcasm) So I figured they would make it right in the follow up visit. Well the follow up visit was just a consultation+ they wanted a $1000.00 retainer I guess you would call it. I still had in mind affordable/ not! Come to find out it was a $50,000 job they wanted to do. I told them that wasn't going to happen and they re- worked there figures and came up with $30,000. I was going to go ahead until I did some homework and found out they were way overcharging for what they were going to do. When I tried to back out they kept my $1000 and good tooth they pulled. I feel I should get a refund and the lose of a perfectly good tooth. I am considering legal action and would just hope they would do what is right and refund my $1000 + $500 or so for the lose of my good tooth and and the money they charged me for mistakenly pulling it. Warning! Don't trust your teeth or your pocket book with this so called affordable dental practice. read more

The service by the dentist was really good. But when I received my bill I saw I was charged the full amount and was told my insurance was out of network. My wife and son had gone to them a year before and they were in network. When I called to see what had happened I was told that they no longer accepted that insurance, but when I asked why I wasn't told that when I went in the response was "yeah we should have checked that. Sorry for the inconvenience." As I continued to try and see if there was something we could do due to the mistake on their end all I ever got in response was "sorry for the mistake." Normally I hate the dentist. Honestly who loves going in and hearing the drilling and feeling the painful numbing. The list goes on. Plumb Dental is the exception to every dentist I've ever been to. They're AMAZING. I had to get an extraction done and the whole staff was so nice and caring. They knew I had anxiety and claustrophobia and made sure to talk me through everything and literally the most painless numbing I've ever experienced. They actually care about you and make what would normally be a terribly uncomfortable experience one that I am singing praises over. Thank you to everyone there so much for being so amazing and Tracey for helping with scheduling and insurance and billing. I even was sent home with a first time patient goodie bag and a follow up for cleaning. For the first time in my life I feel ok about having to go to the dentist and I cannot express my gratitude enough for that sense of calmness. Evidently Plumb Dental office charges for teeth cleaning and X-rays exceeds the amount insurance pays. In all my 70 years, I've never had to pay a penny out of pocket for these services. I just received an approx $108 bill. I'm very disappointed. Patient beware. read more

Dr. Plumb has been my dentist for 8 years and I now fly from NYC to have my dental work done. Why not find a dentist in NY? I tried and none had the knowledge and skills that Dr. Plumb's office possesses. I know I will have the best service with the best equipment by the best staff. I used to be scared of dental visits after a terrible experience and being able to trust Dr. Plumb and his staff completely so that I can have a healthy mouth has honestly changed my life. When Dr. Plumb started out it was a nice little low key office with reasonable prices. Now that they have grown and added another dentist their prices are through the roof, service is lackluster and it appears that their entire goal is to sell you as much as they can sell you whether you have insurance or can afford it or not. I used to get cleaning and exam for less than $100 but recently it is $194. Their crowns are $1330 when you can get just as good a job in Mexico for $400. I have decided to just go somewhere else. I can drive to the Mexican border in a few hours and get quality dental service for 1/4 of what you have to pay in St. George. read more

Dr. Plumb and his staff are amazing! I hate going to the dentist and have needed considerable dental work throughout my life. Dr. Plumb is literally painless, he cares, and so does his staff. He does incredible crowns and implants in house...crowns are ready same day. Also much less expensive than I've had elsewhere. Plumb Dental is the best all around! The staff is so friendly and communicates so well. Their office is beautiful and there is a peaceful feeling which is necessary in a dental office. Dr. Plumb put me at ease and fixed a problem I have been having with a tooth for several years. I was told by another dentist that I would have to have a tooth extracted and have an implant because of some pain I was having. The process seemed way too invasive so I have just lived with the pain. Dr. Plumb looked at the tooth and filed it down some to correct the problem for me. Plumb Dental is the best. We discovered them while traveling. We now drive about 265 miles for dental care. Dr. Plumb is the by far best dentist I have ever visited. Dr Plumb and his staff are beyond great. I got a couple cavities filled and was in a out within an hour.

I just went in to Dr Plumb to have a broken crown redone. The crown had been done by my previous dentist and only lasted 7 years. I loved how Dr Plumb's office does their crowns in-house with new technology and was able to have the work done in one visit, rather than wait for a lab to make a new one and have to come back another time. It was fun to watch the millwork for my new tooth being done, how quick it worked, and how much better the quality of this crown is than my previous one! Not only does it look and feel better, but it's the first time in years that my bite is back to normal, as my previous crown was too high! To wrap it all up, I was given a reversal injection at the end that enabled the numbness of the anesthesia to be completely gone within the hour. Never had that before. Super cool! I was in and out quickly today at Plumb Dental in St. George, Utah. Dr. Plumb is awesome. I've been going to him since he started practice here several years ago. He knows what he is doing and doesn't try to rush you. He takes time to listen and does what he can to make you comfortable. I never have long waits in the waiting room. His staff is first rate. The best part is that I don't suffer during or after dental work. Pain free are two of my favorite words used together when it comes to my mouth. I went in for a tooth extraction, and saw Dr Stephen Jackson, and when I was released to go home I asked for a pain reliever, he wrote me 600mg for Ibuprofen, well I'm a heart patient and they are aware of this and heart patients are not supposed to use Ibuprofen, My cardiologist told me that, So I asked him for some Tylenol 3, he denied my request, he said that a tooth extraction does not cause enough pain to warrant pain pills. So I went home and the pain was so bad that I had to drive to the Liquor store and but a bottle of Bourbon to ease my pain. The last time Dr Jackson extracted my tooth I had dry socket, I ended up going to another dentist he took one look at my dry socket, packed it and wrote me a script for Vicodin. Why I ever went back to this Doctor I have no idea, but I'm warning you readers if you don't like to be in pain for 4-5 days DO NOT SEE THIS DENTIST. HE does not care for his patients only the almighty dollar.. read more

The office staff is amazing, they work hard to make sure that you can be seen when it's the most convenient for you. The hygienist is so thorough, yet gentle, I couldn't believe it.
