The difficulty with Plumb is that the food is good but the front of house staff attitude to its customers varies significantly. This becones apparent when they are at their busiest. Because it is serves the best quality food by taste and portion size in its location, it has a steady stream of patrons, both regular and not so. The impact is felt on wait time both at tables and for takeaway. The food quality does offset this to a degree but, for those few overlooked in favour of the regulars, that may not be enough. Case in point was yesterday lunch where one person is told 30 minute wait on takeaway but another person coming in 10 minutes later is served the same order before the first, which led to a more than 30 minute wait for that person while the second was out in under 10. One off is a mistake but it has been observed routinely during the lunch hour. So, unless you are a regular, it may not be worth the wait for their food.
